Aesthetics Second Faceup (BBB Apollo)

Dec 21, 2013

    1. So here's my rose-themed boy and my second face I've done. : D

There was a minor thing that doesn't show up in photos, but overall I'm happy with it. I'm still working on eyelashes >:I
It wasn't until he was having a face, that I noticed the "imperfections" of his face, but that's alright!

I also noticed that after being sprayed, sometimes the pastel will 'spot' in areas with light spots. Is there a reason for that?

    2. I'm not sure about the 'spotting' issue you're facing but for a second attempt, this is really good! Maybe you can blend the area around the eyes a little more? Your eyebrows are fantastic though. Wouldn't it be difficult to clean the lip area after the paint/pastel you applied on it? D: I'm always really apprehensive about dark colors on the lip area because it's -horribly annoying- to clean off. T_T

    3. Thank you! Yeah, I wasn't sure how far I wanted to push the eye shadow down his nose so I waffled :I
His lower eyelid shape makes it look like he has bags, too!
I tried to use minimal paint on both my boys' mouths because I totally understand the pain of getting dark paint out of crevices, so I tried not to put it too far down in the lip part. When I got his head though, he had a brighter red tint on his lips and red corners, but it did a fair job coming out with a toothbrush, acetone-free polish remover and a toothpick, except for the very corners... and as you can see, it wasn't too much of a worry. As for using the pastels on lips, I use a tiny brush so it comes out mostly alright, and I just clean up carefully with a kneaded eraser :D

    4. The eyebrows look good :) The eyeshadow looks a bit one colour, especially under the eyes, I'm not sure how to explain this? Usually I use a reddish or brownish (though I guess purplish works too) pastels underneath to get a darker "black" if I want er, smokey/dramatic eyes. And this is a personal preference since I don't know what your concept is, but I would prefer more blush to make the overall look a bit less stark. Other than that, I think it's good for a 2nd faceup! ^_^
