Aesthetics Second Ever Face-Up (Unoa Lusis)

Mar 22, 2014

    1. I haven't attempted a face-up in several years, and I thought I would try my hand at it again on my new girl. I had a lot of firsts with this, especially freckles but I had found that I really enjoy doing them.

      And pardon my messy workspace.

Critiques would be wonderful. :) Thanks!

    2. I love the colours you've used around the face and in relation to her freckles - the overall palette is lovely.

I'd suggest extending the freckles a bit further over her forehead - think of areas where the sun naturally hits as being very freckle prone. I'd also possibly change the colour of her eyebrows - if she's a redhead try using a rusty brown, if she's a blonde, a very light brown - this would just suit the overall palette a little bit better.

The placement of the blushing is nice, with a little bit of work and practice, you'll get the hang of the placement. You're on the right track, definitely! Your lash and eyebrow lines are really smooth and nice.

    3. I like her, and I think the freckles look natural; they vary in size and darkness so they don't look painted-on. I agree that you might want to extend them more onto the forehead. Also agreed on the eyebrow colour; we don't know what colour her hair is, but with her skin tone and freckles, this colour doesn't seem quite right somehow.
It looks like one eyebrow (her right) arches up higher than the other, but I like it :)

    4. Thank you both your critiques, I'll bear them in mind when I do decide to repaint her. :) I'll post a picture of her with an actual wig on sometime tonight so you can get a better idea of the overall. Since she's more of a dusty blond, I thought that the lighter eyebrows would fit better than darker, but dully noted. I just need to keep practicing.
