Hybrids SD17 Head on a 75cm body

I feel like putting a volks head on an idealian body sounds WRONG lol, maybe cause soom has smaller heads in comparison to volks so the proportions would be off, but I'm very curious to see what itd look like LOL

 

If no one else gets to it first I might be able to either tomorrow or Friday.

 

R.Dean put a RG Williams on a Dreaming Doll 75cm male body here, there are more pics in that whole Twitter thread. The head looks a bit like it's perching and there's a bit of that thick-necked look -- you can see the curve of the top of the neck in some pics. YMMV whether you like that kind of look on your dolls.

 

@enzeru_chan There are other tall bodies with skinnier neck options. Impldoll for example offers their 75cm boy with a 10.5cm neck option, and a lot of the 71 to 73cm bodies have necks in the 10.5 to 11.5 range, which is probably closer to Williams actual neck size.

 

Volks dolls are more old-school styled and large-headed by nature. Williams is an old-school sculpt even by Volks standards, and this carries over into all of his sculpt iterations – the other issue you might encounter other than the neck size is the more youthful face proportions and much larger eye size Williams takes compared to 9-10 heads designed for ID75 and similar bodies: Volks have always released him with 18mm eyes whereas ID75s take 14mm according to Soom, and most similar "Uncle" heads also take 16mm at the most.
It's probably another YMMV especially how the potential hybrid might look next to other Uncle-sized dolls

 

@enzeru_chan Yeah, I was going to try my Diligent Scholar Williams head on my 73cm DZ body once it arrived as I find the SDGr 13 body to small for my tastes in regards to his head.
