Pointed Shoe Pattern for SD Male (8.5cm Foot) by t4124, on Flickr There is no seam allowance except on the back and bottom edges of the shoe uppers. The back seam is 1/8", the bottom is 1/4". I cut the soles out of a 2-ply thickness of leather and cardboard. The shoe tongue is just tacked in place at the pointed tip, then folded and cinched in with a strap.
I hope to put a tutorial in this post in the future. I used some methods from the following thread to affix the soles, but unfortunately the photo links aren't working any more. http://www.denofangels.com/forums/s...torial-How-to-make-a-pair-of-doll-court-shoes
The pair you made look well cobbled! Thanks for sharing your work & the pattern. I'll have to subscribe to this to save it for the future when I have time to try it out.
Thanks for the pattern! The shoes look really nice--I think they'd go well with an elf- or fairy-type outfit. Agreed!
This pattern is so very handy. Thanks so much for sharing it! I've worked up variations for a Fairyland SD boy & one of my CPDelf boys so far. And each pair has worked up nicely.
