66cm+ Dolls SD Mako head

Hi all
So I finally decided to show you how I work on SD head.

But let's start with the background.
As it's, 8-9 years ago, I decided to make my own BJD doll, I worked with her, but since I had little experience in modeling, and there was little information on materials for sculpting, and I could hardly imagine the structure of BJD dolls, because I don't have any BJD doll. In the end, I never finished it.
This is a story with an unhappy ending.

And it's been a few years, and when my collection is already quite a lot of BJD dolls, and now I know how they look, how their bodies, hinges and so on. I started to sculpt the head SD size. About the creation of the body I still think I probably won't even dare to take this step because it's very long.

My Mako has already got both ears. I did a little work with forehead, he became taller. The head cover was also slightly transformed. Meanwhile, I ended of the first pack of masses for modeling. Tomorrow I will unpack another one and continue the work!

in fact, the head is not very big for SD size. In the future I want to make a head with interchangeable teeth or with a tongue. It's just that this is my first serious creation, so I was afraid to do such serious things ))

 

Work on Mako's head is completed. It remains to wait for casting time. It will be in January. In the meantime, I decided to dream up on the theme - Mako’s head in color and with makeup.
