Sculpts you love (but will probably never get)

Oct 2, 2009

1. If there's another thread covering this, let me know - I went back 15 pages and didn't see one.

I've discovered that I'm the type who really does need the doll to have a character in one of my stories to bond properly with them. This means that there are some sculpts that I just love, but have no character for them. Other people I'm sure will have other reasons, such as too many higher priority dolls, etc., but I doubt I'm the only one who loves certain sculpts but doesn't plan to bring them home.

Here's my list:
Volks:
SD13 Elena
SD13 Rinon
MSD Miichan
MSD Taachan
SD10 Kanata
SDC Toki
SD16 Ruby

Blue Fairy
Jasmine
Louis

Migidoll
Ryu

Iplehouse
I
Jerome
Joshua
Tania
(Pretty much the entire JID line actually . . . :sweat)

It's better for the pocketbook, but still . . . Elena and Rinon are at the top of the list right now, I think they'd be a fun pair of girls to have around ^^.

2. Euclase. Well, sort of.

The owner pics of him are just gorgeous beyond words. I spend quite a lot of time here and on DA just marveling at him. The things people do with him are amazing and he has such an attitude and grace that it staggers me.

I say sort of because owned his head for about 3 months. However, hard as I tried my own boy never captured any of the wow-factor that others seemed to so effortlessly find. Mine never failed to remind me of a pop singer with too much cosmetic surgery. Though unmodded, he lacked the magic that attracted me (and still does) to everyone else's Euclase. I eventually sold him because I couldn't shake the resemblance.

Every time I see new photos of one pop up, I always drool and awe and wish like hell I owned one. And I never, ever see the flaws in other people's Euclases that were so glaringly obvious in my own. He is gorgeous, probably my favorite Soom MD ever. But, alas, he's just not meant to be mine.

Also, Hikaru Genji. That boy is absolute perfection. When I can afford him, he is never on the MP. When there's now way I could ever hope to scrape up the funds, he appears. Seems he's not meant to be mine, either.

3. Unbelievably (for me, I'm normally not a Soom fan), it'd be a Soom Amber. I don't check the Soom website because they normally aren't the kind of dolls I like, so I've only seen her now that people who ordered her back in January have her safe at home. There are several reasons I'd never own her; it'd be uber-difficult to come up with a backstory explaining those ears unless I seriously up the weirdness level that I am willing to go to (I like to have some sort of common ground with my dolls!), I couldn't afford an SD and not least, her head alone would cost almost twice what I paid for my last doll.

Oh, my.

I used to be a mega mega WooSoo fan, but there's no way I could justify spending that much on a doll, no waaay. Also, I don't think I'd want to own one - I take my dolls to lots of places for photoshoots or meets and I'd just be scared to damage it, the enjoyment would be so much less.

(Hehe, an Amber wouldn't be much better - she'd need little earmuffs to wear to doll meets ^_^)

4. Suigintou, purely from a practical perspective. I love everything about her facial sculpt; love Volks SD13 girls in general and would easily be able to fit her into my crew.... but can't justify spending $2500+ on a piece of resin, no matter how pretty.

5. My best "never get" sculpt is a SOOM Spinel. I want him so bad~ And could probably eventually afford him without face up and jointed fingers, but I figure if I'm going to get my dream doll, I *WILL* go all the way. So~~ I'll never get him, aha.

6. Dollshe SA Saint, I love everything about him except his size. I really wish I could get over the height but it's just too much doll for me.

7. Same here. The doll needs a character or else I'd be broke in a mad attempt to buy them all. >_>
I have a lot of those but the ones I could list from the top of my head are:

Dollmore Lusion Dahlia(!!)
Dollmore Chami
Dollmore Kara Klum

Leekeworld Mihael
Leekeworld Mabel

Zaoll Luv

IH JID Tatiana
IH JID Tania

Migidoll Miho <- actually got him but was sold :<

Volks Miruku
Volks F-01, F-14, F-22, F-30

Minifee Miyu
Minifee Karsh
About half a dozen pukis..

It'd definitely be a different story if I won the lottery.

8. Oh, DM Lusion Dahlia... she is spectacular... but I wouldn't feel comfortable branching out into such a different size, and I like my dolls to be able to interact with each other and pose them together... I can't see Dahlia fitting in :(

Plus my flat isn't too large O_O;

B-b-but she's so lovely... ;_;

9. I've sold countless dolls just because I get them and I just can't get a character for them...I'm even thinking of selling my Pado now, because much as I try...after two years, I cant really come up with a style that inspires me for her.

Alot of the limited and volks dolls wouldn't work for me too...too expensive too...

I do want Dahlia one day....especially as my little ones get older and the younger one leaves babyhood behind forever :(.

10. Haha, thankfully all my "must have" dolls are lower in the price range for me. xD

I'm completely in love with the Soom Amber and Topaz sculpts though. Those are the two most beautiful girl dolls I've ever seen. :O I don't even usually consider getting female dolls either. They're waaaay out of my price range though, and I have no idea what I'd actually do with them if I did get one.

11. there are lots of dolls, I like but will never have, volks swd Tae for example, I', in love with the sculpt, but so far I haven't even looked for her, simply because I don't really want another girl for now, and my funds will not be adequate anyway.
I wanted Akando for a while, and I really like him still, but he is way too big, same goes for Evan..
leeke mabel is on my list of dolls I want, but I don't think I'll ever buy her, nomatter how lovely she is. (not in love with the body, and don't want a hybrid as of yet)
crobidoll ys b-type, I am smitten with him, but will not buy him, even though he fits in nicely with my dolls.
mostly these are dolls I had or have on my wishlist, but that changes all the time, so I just look at the sculpts every now and then, and think: stunning, but not for me, maybe some other time.

12. I love the faces of the biggest Soom guys, but they are too tall to fit in with my other dolls and I don't want to start a new size group. I adore the Iplehouse big beefy guys, but just can't see them fitting in with my collection, so I will have to admire them from afar. I also love some of the big elves, but I have tiny elves. I have to draw the line somewhere or my wishlist would be endless.

Edit: Just reading back through this thread to see if I commented. Funny... Iplehouse finally made a big boy I could not resist (Tedros) and I became enchanted by Lumedoll's big elf girl, Bellatrix and bought a head for a project. I still haven't bought a giant Soom guy, but never say never.

13. I sometimes feel this way about a huge portion of my wishlist, simply because there's just not enough money to pull it off. I try to jump for the limited sculpts when I can get them at retail over others simply because the secondary market prices put them out of my spending comfort zone. (And for the ones I have an interest in, they tend to sell faster than they do from the company site -- and for more.)

It's very likely Iplehouse Luna will be in this category. I love that girl, but money is just not cooperating with my desire to bring the grey catgirl of doom home. It's not completely beyond the realm of possibility, but it's pretty unlikely.

The odds of me getting a hold of a Beryl and/or a Sard are roughly equivalent to winning the Powerball lottery. As in, I'd need to, first. ;)

14. They're not "must have"s (and they're not really in my wishlist), but I just love Zaoll Luv and Soom Topaz! Especially Migidoll Ryu!:D It's funny coz there have been many times when I'll see a picture and go, "Oooh, pretty dollie!" then I look closer and it's...Ryu. Again.

15. Peak's Woods Goldie (especially bitten)

I adore this girl's face, but all the other dolls I want are MSDs/Tinies and she wouldn't fit in. :( I wish they made an msd Goldie.

16. I will never own an old version Bernard, simply due to costs. I have to hope the new versions that are more in my budget will do, and will if I can ever get the body work done I so wish on them.

17. I've always wanted the majority of the SOOM MD dolls, but I seriously doubt I'll ever have one. :(

18. Elf vampire shiwoo Minifee (had a modded one but i want a fully sleeping one)
Musedoll Ciel
Dollmore Lusiondoll Dahlia
Delf Woosoo
Delf El

19. It's Dollshe Orijean for me. I really love his unusual face and I think he'd be perfect for one of my characters that I want in doll form, but I've never had a doll over 60cm and the new Dollshe bodies really aren't my thing. I think I'd be very intimidated by his size and body. Sometimes I want to try and save up to buy him, thinking that I could always sell him if we don't click, but I don't really want to go through that.

20. The Soom Mecha Angels, definitly. I love the look of Corvi and Rex, but my likelyhood of getting them is nil. Cost is not a factor. Just that 80cm is more doll than I can handle and I am particular about putting a MA head on a smaller body. It just doesn't work for me. So I'll admire them from afar.

• x 1
21. For me, it's Volks' Tohya. He was the very first doll I ever fell head-over-heels for, but he's so limited that the rare times he does pop up on the marketplace, he's waaaay expensive. So I resigned myself a long time ago that he'd be one that I'd oogle other people's pictures of, but never own myself.

I thought Luts' LU-WEN would end up the same way, but then stuff happened and now I have him. XD But his version of "limited" is apparently not really limited.

22. Same here! I would dearly love an old version Bernard, but there is no way i could ever afford him. and the new bodies don't appeal to me. so he is just a dream for me. :(

23. There's a few for me lol.

Volks Yugiri - Damn. This is probably my dream doll. But they're so rare to find in the marketplace when I have money that it'll probably be several years (if ever) that I manage to get my hands on one.

Iplehouse Jessica - I'm also someone that has a pre-existing story for my guys, and there is no character (and believe me when I say that I have alot of characters!) that would suit Jessica. I've considered it, tried to make things work by changing a few details... but yeah, will never work out =(

Fairyland MNF Shiwoo - I love him, one of the first I ever wanted in fact. Everytime I see him I think 'Yes! Perfect for my character Kenny'. Then I look at my other planned crew and realise that he would look too similar to some of the others. And if it comes to a toss up between a big shiwoo and a mini shiwoo... the big 'un wins everytime! :D

24. regular poly resin narin the big one. only because i doubt they will release him that way again.
very depressing

25. I'd LOVE to get the first edition of Volks Olivia Morgan with default face-up and outfit. I have no idea how much she would cost but I'm sure way more than I can afford.
She's the only doll over $700 I've ever fallen for. There's a dozen dolls under that price I want - know I can't have them all but it's just a matter of choice while Olivia is definitely out of my reach.

26. I loved Volks Ryoya and would have tried for him in the after event, buuuuut I made a judgment call: 1200 for Ryoya or 850ish for Chrom. 850 is closer to what I paid for my Volks Cyndy and I think is around the top I would pay for a doll. Anything over 1000 is too much. Ami was the same problem. Lovely face, gorgeous, but ... I just CAN'T pay over 1000. It was already tough the day I moved all my dolls to my new apartment and I realized that I was carrying over $2000 of dolls with me.

I like several Luts sculpts--Harmony, Regen, and so on--but they all look so similar and are standard models anyway, so I can't justify buying them. Volks Elena is similar. I like it, but it's standard and I don't know if I quite love her THAT much. I think she's one of those "if I had all the money in the world" or "if someone asked me what doll I wanted (with intent to buy)" situations.

Mecha Angels are on the fence. I'm seriously considering buying one and if I buy one, I feel like I might buy another. But I'm not sure if I really want to buy one in the first place. It's a LOT of doll. I like balance in my doll collection, and right now I need another SD-range girl. If Soom made a Super Gem that looked like Saiph, I would be all over her. I really just love her face. But 80cm? Arrrrgh.

Speaking of Soom, Olivine and Carnel. Both similar faces and I like both. Won't buy either--Olivine because she's not the sweet face I want and Carnel because I already have too many boys. :/ I only have one boy, but technically I have three. Needs moar wooman. I don't count the MSD or the tiny as women even though they're female.

27. Oh I'm sure I'm the same way. In the main case with me tho even tho the doll fits my char I can't see myself getting it because of how costly this hobby gets.

CP El-SS
CP Juri '05
CP Woosoo
CP Kum-ran
CP Miyu
Luts SSDF Flood
Luts Frey
CP Edgar
DOD Calla
DOC Tender Zen
DOC Tender Bee-A
BC Elf Kumi
CP Breakaway *even tho its still up in the air if I'd buy him*
And just about every MNF there is XD

The list goes on but I can't think of any others at the moment~

28. There are several molds out there that I really love, but I can't imagine owning! I prefer enjoying them from afar. If I did have any of these I'd probably end up selling them so someone else could enjoy them more.

Volks
-SD Michele
-SD Kun
-SD Anais
-SD Kurumi
-SD13 Tony
-YoTenshi Hinata (actually if I could afford to get her I SO WOULD)

Luts
-Woosoo

29. um...Soom Sabik... love his face.. but he's so big and his body is just too skinny.

Pipos dolls... for me, it's hard to justify spending $200+ on something so little >_< but maybe someday.

There are a lot of 1/4 sculpts I like, but I'm an 1/3 person so I prolly won't get any ever. Not to mention that unless I start delving into dollifying characters from my books, I don't plan on having a lot of BJDs. I just don't see the need of having more than you can tote around. But yeah that would all change if I was going to dollify my cast xD That would take a looooot of dolls. So it'd have to wait til I was rich anyway.

30. I love looking at these molds and I sometimes play around with the idea of getting one. In the end, I'm pretty sure I can live without them.

Supia Rosy
Supia Dreaming Roda
Limhwa Dreaming Half Elf
Narsha Girl
Both Zaolls
Both Male & Female Narindoll 60cm
A Tiny like a Pukipuki or a Pipos Anthro

My deepest concern is with Classic Narin. I actually do have a character for him and he would definitely fit in with my plans. Plus, I really love this mold! He's my favorite male MSD. The only problem is that I really just want to concentrate boy clothes on Roy, my LK Mihael. When I think of getting him, I think of all the money I'll have to spend on him. @_@

But we'll see how the future pans out...

Edit: A little logical thinking can save a lot of money. I thought about the Classic Narin a little more and decided that I can live without him. I'm currently saving for a Classic Narae so once I get her I can dress her in boy clothes to accomodate for the Narin. :]

31. Hmm... There's a few regulars that I quite like but won't get becuase of price and size, like Iplehouse's Luo, Heisejinyao Ziyulinglong's Hui Ka, and Feeple Esther, since I currently lack the room for a doll that large, let alone a bunch of them, but each one of them is a regular sculpt. I might get them one day.

When it comes to the sculpts I want but can't get becuase of their limited or discontinued status, this list is worse.

Asleep Eidolon Min Discontinued and sold out before I could get the money to buy him. And he was only a $250 doll! Very heartbreaking since so few people have him to begin with, I highly doubt I'll ever find him for sale.

Breakaway, ANY Breakaway. I might jump on the MP and buy the Scarred Event head when they come out at this point, and I hate scarred dolls!

Iplehouse Strongman Luo At least the regular version is still around. And doesn't turn green.

SOOM Sphaler If it weren't for the fact he's released so close to the holidays, which is being immediately followed by a Con I'm attending, his most basic form would be on layaway. I'm enamored by anything dragon related, but with him, I'd have to have the fullset to be really be happy, and I just can't afford that. ($1200!?!?) He's very close to being perfect, but the price is staggering, he's gigantic, and I'd be waiting for him untill next June... I'll just happily drool at him in owner pics.

Dollzone Son of Heaven Ray Fortunately, a blank Ray is still available, and I can get a similar wig, but his incredibly detailed and gorgeous full-set is long gone, so I'll never have the exact set up that I fell for. I'm doing everything in my power to make him as simlar as I can (DollZone even sell some Prince costumes that I like), but it was the full-set that pulled me in and made me fall for this boy.

32. I have a list too, and my problems have little to do with financial concerns (after all, I could always save...well...forever!):doh But for various reasons, these beloved sculpts will never happen:

Iplehouse Luo Big, gorgeous, manly and magnificient (and I'd have absolutely no problem coming up with a wonderfully creative character for him too) but he's simply way too big for my display areas.:...(

Soom Euclause Amazing! I love the wings on the head...so original and unique and completely gorgeous. But once again, too big. Plus, no character I could come up with to match the sculpt would work for my crew of smaller dolls. Alas!:(

33. Hmm... for me (and probably quite a lot of people) it's gonna be the Soom MDs ^^;;

Surely they are gorgeous and i would absolutely LURVE to drool at them, but i don't think i will ever be bothered to have such a beauty in my possessions. i know how i get over something really quickly

Another lot would be the Iplehouse EID line, they have beautiful beautiful HOT bodies but again, they are too much for me

You can never stop droolin though! =P

34. Soom Sard, Sabik, and Kyrie

Sard, because he is way too hard to find.
Sabik, because I am not sure if I want a doll that big.
Kyrie, because I do not own any girl dolls, but I just love her face mold.

That is it...for now. LOL

35. For me it's the Volks "Rozen Maiden" Hinaichigo. When I first saw her I had no idea what the show was about, she was just so cute and adorable and I loved that little stuffed dog she came with. I just had an issue with the price, I couldn’t justify spending that much for a YoSD.

36. Dollshe Hound: Oh how I love them. I'll probably never be able to afford one if they came up for sale on the marketplace.

Soom Hati/Skoll: I am kicking myself for not grabbing one. I'll probably never see one for sale again.

Unoa Lusis: I love Lusis' mold, but she sells quite high on the marketplace. (Which is understandable.) I don't mind if I never buy her, I can always admire her from afar.

Soom Cass: She was beautiful~ I love the head and outfits. She fits into my category of admiring from afar though.

37. DoD Luke version 1. I think he's so cool. But I don't want a SD sized doll and I refuse to spend that much money. *sigh*

38. A lot of the Soom MDs.
I owned a Heliot and whilst he was lovely, I didn't really like him enough to try and get over how big and beautiful he was. Now he's sold and I can admire others without having to worry about making mine as beautiful.

Still, I have a NS Sard coming home soon and since he's my original sculpt/dream doll-I-love-but-will-never-get, we'll see how it goes

39. Volks Ryoya: The boy's sculpt is just insanely beautiful, but I'd never be able to spend that much money on a doll.

Volks F-16: Again, such a beautiful sculpt, but I don't know if I'd ever buy a doll from Volks because of the price. My money could go to better things, or dolls that I want more.

40. These are the sculpts I love but wouldn't get:

Dollshe Rosen - I looove his face. The only thing that's stopping me is the thought of "Another HUGE doll!?" I already have a Dollshe SA Husky and a Volks SD16 Yukinojo--I don't think I can handle another big boy at this time.

Iplehouse Luo - He has such a sweet face and very nice body. Again, same reasoning as above. :doh

Dollzone Yue - When he was first introduced, I was breath-taken. I love his beautifully serene face but I didn't get him. Same reason for not being able to handle another huge doll.

Iplehouse Iris - I love her cute and sweet innocent face. I just don't know what I'm going to do with her at all~

Volks SD13 Suigintou - She's beautiful! But I don't know what I'm going to do with her, either.

Volks SD17 F-38 - I am infatuated with this particular Sato Only FCS sculpt. However, I could not find a valid reason for owning him--maybe I don't really know what I'm going to do with this guy at all!

And pretty much all of the Pukis. They're just excruciatingly cute and adorable but I don't know what I'm going to do with them at all! :doh

Maybe I'll get all of these dolls when I have a huge mansion and gajillions of dollars.

41. Ahh, for me that would probably be Pluto Doll's Vergil (pure LOVE) and almost every single one of DiM's Love boys. These dolls capture almost every single trait in their gorgeous little faces that I adore in a doll and I sigh wistfully every time I look at one of their images. The only problem is that they are minis. And now that I have 3 minis and have since sold all the others of that size I have discovered that I really don't want anymore. I convince myself it is not that big of a loss as I do not have any characters that would suit their sculpts or size anyway to fit in with my current crew, and for my wallet's sake and not my heart, I really hope I am able to stick with that decision in the future and don't create an entire new storyline just for them. I am not good at new made up characters.

I am also pathetically in love with Luts' Bliss and while I may have a character that could work for him, he is a very minor character and I wonder if it would be worth it.

I could also throw in Volks Kohya/Tohya and Pixydoll's Sevy, but they're limitation is mostly due to their rareness and price rather than my desire to own them.

There are plenty of other sculpts that I adore and think are simply beautiful, but as I am usually pretty good about deciding if they will or won't suit the characters in my head it makes it a bit easier for me to detach myself from them. At least that is how I hope it is working.

42. Dolls that I'll probably never afford but love SOOOO much are Dollmore's Lusion Black Dahlia and Volks Anais (or Tae :P).

...I say "probably never afford", but I should say "hope I'm never crazy enough to spend that much on a doll". I'm pretty sure I will, though, once I get a job of some kind. Far in the future.

43. I'm at least the third person to mention Volks Suigintou.

I really like the Volks Rozen Maiden collection, but two of the dolls, Suigintou and Shinku, are so highly priced that if and when I could afford them, I don't think that I could have any fun with them for fear of damaging them. They would end up being cabinet dolls, and that's not really what I like for myself with this hobby.

44. Unidoll Jace
Happydoll Margo
Asleep Eidolon Dou Sha
Puki Darjeeling

I really want a puki for my next doll but if I get one, I think I'll just be swamped by BJDs.

45. Volks SD sized dolls especially the LE ones

Soom's MD dolls

46. LUTS DoA 5th Anniv LE Abadon -- his body, actually. The Abadon headmould doesn't interest me, but the armoured body is one fine piece of ball-jointed engineering (at least what I have seen of it!) and I would be honoured to grace my doll collection with it. However, I haven't quite crossed the line of Really Wanting it, and 70cm is a little too big for my tastes.

Soom MD Sphaler. I love everything I can see about him (Soom's bleached photos notwithstanding), but again, not begging to be brought home. I'll wait to see owner photos before I decide that actually made a big mistake. =P

Soom's Mecha Angels Vega and Sabik, and most of the BlueFairy Tiny Fairies and Volks SD10s and larger. The beauty of Sabik and Vega's faces can't win out their size (too big!), the TFs and SD10s+ are lovely but still aren't calling to my heart. I'm content to just look at the gorgeous owner photos!

Also, Dollshe Bermann and Hound. But too big, and too rare. I'll live vicariously through others' photographs. :XD:

47. Any of the Iplehouse EIDs..espcecially Luo. I love him but that's too much doll for me. I got to handle a Kamau (thanks MieAga!) and was overwhelmed. My Hound is almost too big for me and he's a twig compared to an EID!

Yukinojo and Bermann.....Love them both soooooo much but their price is just too much for me. Totally think they're worth it but probably won't ever have the funds.

I hold out hope for someone's unloved Bix here on the marketplace though.....

48. MMmmm Unidoll ARK. I loved him from the first pic I ever saw. Have never seen him in person but I don't think that would change the way he calls to me. I don't know that I would ever be in a position to pay that much for a doll though. (My kids would try to lock me up somewhere! LOL)

49. Add me to the list of people who desperately want a Volks Suigintou, but will never have one.

Seriously, I love everything about her. xD But even if by some freak incident I did have the money, I doubt I could justify spending that much on her just because she's pretty. :/ I mean, yeah I can come up with reasons why I want her, but ultimately it comes down to "She's pretty. All these other reasons are just me trying to justify it." You know?

50. For me, the "unobtainables" thread is more about dolls you would buy, but can't because they are rare or expensive (or both!). I read this thread's OP question more as dolls you like, but won't buy because of more personal taste reasons. (Like not fitting a character or not fitting your collection).

Oh, there are so many dolls I this are absolutely beautiful, but just wouldn't "fit" with my group of rather goofy and overexpressive dolls. For me, one example is the realistic Minimee dolls... I've owned two and had to sell them both because they just didn't work out for me. (But I still love seeing other owners' photos of those sculpts!)

For the most part, the dolls I "love but won't get" are either too realistic or too elegantly pretty to fit in with my crazy gang. Or I adore them and just don't have a character in mind.

The list as I can think of it right now:

Volks Pearl
Volks Cristal
Iplehouse Freezia/Gentle Freezia
60cm Narae (pretty much all the variations)
Souldoll Queena
Soom Cass
Minifee Woosoo girl
Minifee Vampire Shushu
Twigling Ylisande
Rosette Sakura
Souldoll Chiron centaur
Leekeworld Luke
Elfdoll Sooah
EID Kamau
Supia Roda
Limhwa Mano

51. Ao Ze Tian by HZ... He amazes me every time I look at him... Le sigh.

52. Never say never, but there are a few molds that I love that I am highly unlikely to ever own, like Dollshe Hound and Saint, Iplehouse Akando and/or Luo, Dollmore Kyle Reese, Dream of Doll's Luke - I adore them all, but they're large and/or expensive. Maybe someday, but it'll be far off in the future. B&G Afra I love, but can't deal with the elf ears (for myself, they're cute on other people's dolls!) and would feel strange having him hang around with no ears at all, so I probably won't ever have one.

There are also past limiteds - Delf Breakaway and Woosoo; and Lati Aida who pops up on the marketplace from time to time at a price I could normally stretch to afford on layaway - but only at times when I couldn't possibly come up with any of the money.

Vampire Lu-Wen is on my wishlist, but I don't know if it'll ever happen.

53. Breakaway, Woosoo, SA Bermann. Limited, no longer sold, ridiculously expensive on the second-hand market.

Soom Amber, Euclase, DoD Kalix grey. More recent dolls, also limiteds and expensive second-hand. I'd much rather my money go to the company than the owner (sorry), so I refuse to pay inflated prices for second-hand dolls.

DOI body, because of its awesome sculpting, but I'm not fond of the heads, so I have no reason to get it, unless I want to try doing some extreme colour-changing for it to fit a minimee head. :\

Luts El, Lishe, Miyu, Chiwoo. Pretty, aesthetically pleasing, but if I want to see pretty dolls, I can just look in the galleries, since I feel no other connection.

Volks School A. Unless I can go to Japan/America and take part in the lessons and get the head... once more, I don't like paying inflated prices. Furthermore, I'm not fond of Volks bodies, so it'll end up sitting around bodyless.

Yea, I understand economics, about supply and demand and prices, but, nngh, I just can't bring myself to spend, say, $700 on a two-year-old Breakaway with one head when I can get a Soom MD for $745 new with optional parts. :\ Or over $3000 for a DO Bermann when it can get me between 4 to 6 SD-sized dolls. Or a new laptop.

54. I think for me it would be a Migidoll Ryu. I like the way he looks but my dream for an SD would to be like an older version of my twin MSDs. Maybe also the Minoruworld Junior boy. He looks so cute but I like having dolls around a certain size so it's easier to buy clothing for them :sweat

Awww, he's a cute sculpt to get ;)

55. I have to echo the earlier sentiment of Volks' Hikaru Genji. Such a lovely, lovely boy, but rare and expensive.

56. Alice in Labyrinth's Bertram, Chloe and Alice (MSD) are all capable of breaking my bank and my heart.

So. Darn. Pretty!!

If I ever get one, it will most probably be Chloe. But my salary isn't ready for an SD10 female doll yet. :(

57. I have 2, actually. Iplehouse Mars and Delf The Moon. I love them so much, but my "No SD" rule kind of leaves them out. Maybe if I ever randomly came into extra money, I'd at least try to bring Mars home, but I can't really see myself owning Moon

58. I'm not a big Volks fan normally but I certainly wouldn't say no to a Tsuyoshi Maki ._. ..

59. Gomidoll Igon, the one with half-open eyes. My GAWD I love that sculpt so much. However, I don't want an SD-sized doll and they're sooooo hard to find :( Also CP Soony, for much the same reason. Soony is absolutely my favourite of the CP sculpts, but she's too big. And again for the same reason, a Dollshe Hound or Bernard. Although if I had the money and the chance to get a Hound, I *might* break my no-60cm+ rule...
