Anyone every played with sculpey superflex? Apparently after firing, it stays kind of rubbery. I had an idea to make a bjd with this stuff with a harder core under the rubbery part. I wonder if it would be able to pose more because it could squish slightly like real flesh does..
Good thought but it doesn't really work that well. It should be like Gumby but is more like an eraser. It will break if bent too much and doesn't really have much give when baked. Would love to find a material that acted like flesh for the squishy parts! I tried the "Super light Sculpey" and it is awful!!! Like trying to make something with marshmallow paste. I made some cute little ears and tail on my tiny boy but couldn't get them off in one piece to deal with. I'll always keep looking for that perfect material....Never lose hope.
Darn lol. Yes I'll always be looking too.. I was also hoping I could make little bendable creatures with superflex with wire in them so they could pose, but I guess they'd just fall apart.
They have some really neat flexible resins that I've seen. They use them for lures, and they have a hardener and a softener so you can change it's density at will, aswell as change the density of normal resin. Though you'd need a mould for that. ^^'
