Customs Scoop on the packages arriving in United States & delayed from all of Europe

I feel especially lucky, reading the experiences in this thread. I just bought a mini from someone in France, and she was delivered to-door in about 5 business days, way before I would have even thought to check for progress!

And more good news!!! My package from November arrived in one piece!!! I can't believe this nightmare is now officially over for me!! What a relieve!

Now I hope all of you with packages in waiting receive them soon, dears!! I'll be here until everyone have them, to support ò__ó

No news on my parcel at all; I am giving up now and next week I am going to send another 'Christmas' gift to replace the lost one

I posted around about 17th December, I knew that was too late really for Christmas but I have never had a gift go missing before

 

Oh, that's weird then. I sent a package on the same date or nearly the same and it was delivered last week. Let's hope next week you have news. Have you claim it?

 

I think I can join this thread I sent a small package at the end of January and it has not arrived yet. The tracking has not updated since it left this country. Since this was a swap, and I have received my package weeks ago, I'm really sick about this.

This news has really frightened me, as I sent a package to the USA just yesterday

But this time I made sure I had tracking.......

Could mean that they're really caring about the "1lbs" thing, or that the snare is over.

Jane, I'm the same as you, I sent at least 2 packages to the US recently. They all left Spain correctly. I hope they reach their destinations correctly too >.<

 

My dolls tracking from Spain has said the "Origin Post is Preparing Shipment" Since about the 4th of this month and it still hasn't changed

Is this normal? I'm getting worried.

 

Sadly, once the package left origin country, USPS never updates the tracking number until it's "arrival at unit" or directly you receive the package in your house. It's been always like that for me and for everyone here in this thread T^T

 

And my tracking says...

"..........has been passed to the overseas postal service for delivery"

Lets hope this packet gets through with no problems *fingers crossed*

No change here, and my seller hasn't written me back either, not even to say that there's no news. It's so frustrating. I know she's probably tired of dealing with it, but I really don't like being left dangling. She's my only chance of getting a refund, and of finding out what's happened. The recipient of the package can't do anything.

I've started shopping for a replacement doll body. I just hope I can get my money back eventually. I know I won't get my time back. :p

 

Thanks, Shin, hearing that statuses never update helps, and it's kinda good to know that the parcel will probably be delivered at some point. I do know that I won't try to send anything to the US again until this is really, truly fixed.

 

Based on my own experience sending a package to ShaDrouet, now USA shipping is going alright. Not as fast as before, but definitively in good time for deliveries. So hang in there, everyone! I'm sure all of you will receive your dolls / stuff!! >w<

My Christmas card and gift arrived at its destination today!!!!!

I am over the moon about this, and I hope this will give hope to other people who didn't use a tracked method of postage for what in all honesty was a Christmas card!

And mark this: there were NO postage marks/date stamps on the packet at all, from either country....how odd!

But my friend has her Christmas gift at last........she was not forgotten!!!!

Thanks everybody for your good wishes! I totally dreamed last night that my package had turned up (about the fourth time I've dreamed that, LOL) and I was hoping it would mean good news, but my tracking still hasn't changed. I do hope this week gets me some resolution, though.

Back in the thread I started for info on Carry On Cash, someone else is having problems with package delays. It turns out that in spite of the steep price, it really isn't an express service at all. True, my parcel is stuck somewhere between US customs and me, but it still took it a month just to get that far. And since it's not express, calling customs doesn't help me. So I would really have to warn people off of using that service in the future.

What's depressing about all this is it's made me not want to fuss over my dolls or take pictures of them or anything, not for months. Since I put them away for Christmas I haven't had them out at all, and that's just not like me. Our place is too tiny to always have the whole crew out (which is why that only happens at Christmas) but usually I'll rotate one or two on display for a week or so.

Phew. Well, we should finish our layaway on our Dearmine kitties at the end of this month, so maybe that'll cheer me up.

When I had a doll take three months to arrive from Canada once (I truly felt I had lost her) it just made those I already had at home more dear to me, and I hugged them closer.

I really do hope that you have good news today tenshi ((more hugs))

 

My doll head has been stuck in customs for 26 days now I really hope he comes through soon.

My friend is bringing the body I bought from her for him down on Thursday and the poor thing is going to sit without a head for probably a long time

 

And I can just add my hope that it is tomorrow that brings good news

 

Wow! I have a status update! My package is now in CUSTOMS. After more than a month of limbo >.< Seriously, the Dutch postal services are crappy but this is a whole new dimension. Good grief.

 

Today was disappointing. I saw the mailman drop a package at the mailbox and I was hoping it was my package finally. Turns out it was just something my dad ordered from China on Feb 17th while my package from Spain sent on Jan 26th hasn't arrived yet and no word on it at all.

 

Glad to hear im not the only one waiting. I bought a kalix from poland and it took a week from poland to release him from customs and now he's in us customs...for a week now...its sucking since I paid for ems and normally he'd be here by now...

shaDrouet, I'm so sorry I didn't see your post sooner! Yes, it is insured with tracking. The sender went to the post office yesterday and was about to file a claim for it as lost and then all of a sudden the tracking updated and they said they have already delivered it to me - yesterday, in fact. When I was home all day yesterday and today and there was no package delivered and no notice of a package, either.

I'm hoping it really is at my local post office and not just a mistake. Or worse, that it was maybe delivered to a neighbor by mistake who choose to keep it! That would be horrible, I sure hope that's not the case. I'm about to run out to the post office to check now, wish me luck!

Thank you so much! It was really true! The post office did have it and I received my package safe and sound, I am so delighted now that this ordeal has finally come to an end. I wish for a swift end to these troubles for the rest of you still waiting as well~ I will be keeping up with this thread until everyone's packages are home safe. It really does seem like the mail is moving more reasonably at this point, so stay positive!

 

My package arrived! The tracking info claims it was in and out of customs in 1 day, with no indication whatsoever where it was between Jan 31st and Feb 28th :/ So I don't really believe this is entirely accurate.

I'm just so relieved it arrived!

Got an update on mykalix it is now outbound out of customs after beinginboumd into customs for a week

 

I had a doll sent from a seller last week, and was wondering why I was not getting tracking updates. Now I know why lol. The doll is through customs and is almost here. She should be in tomorrow. At least I know now why I was not getting the updates X3 I was checking it like crazy!
