SC doll *Flower and Junior* discussion part 1

Hi!
My Char's name is Makoto. At times, I put him on Customhouse Ai Little Junior body (height with a head 36 cm). Char skin-tone normal, does not fit to that body =/ Waiting for him Fdoll Mini boy body NC. I hope it will fit the proportions and tone.

Chars are very beautiful and cute! I am very happy that I have Makoto! =)

Flower Junior dolls are adorable! I'm also waiting for the head of white Char and the body. ^^ I've ordered a white DIM body during the winter event, they are going to ship it soon.

Really happy to see more of your dolls! I'm very interested in a WS Char; what body would you suggest to match resins? I've heard lots of things about white skins varying..

Char just has that perfectly sweet face, I wanted my DollChataeu boy to be a catboy and earlier today I saw a Char head on a DC body in Normal Skin! They said the match was off
but I wonder if it'd match the White Skin?

I've got such amazing feelings for Kaka, I feel like I can do so much with him! Not sure what exactly that is but I'm sure it'd be fun. He's so full of personality it's awesome.

Hnnngh. So much want for these lovelies. I wonder if Nima is going to be an MSD sized head too? I hope so! Those ears on the concept art are killing me!

 

DC yellow is very orange, absolutely no match for volks skin. I find it so sad since the older DZ (sister company) were a great match before 2012 D=

I think Nima is a MSD sized one... I do hope its a little smaller though. I want to make them "human" versions of my anthros

Chibi_Fluffy, yeah. That's what the person who had the doll said as well. So not a match. I think the Flower and Junior heads would look pretty amazing on the new Dollzone boy body with those wide hips though. Some creative blushing would be in order of course. :P I'm just so happy to see a company making MSD heads! Everyone makes SD heads and I'm just thinking for SCDoll giving me more choices.

According to Flower and Junior Impldoll has modified a Char head to make their Avery.

 

I saw it on their Flickr account.
The first time I saw the head I thought is was someone who had Char and modified it.
I find it really sad since sc-doll is so small! No one will notice and since it is a very cute head I am sure a lot of people will want it :/

 

Yea, I just found out about the company after the news thread about Kaka (giggle, french XD) but it's very sad.
Should the mods be notified about this?>_>;

 

I don't really know, sc-doll itself seems defeated already since it is not the first time this happens from Impldoll.
I was not aware it was this far, but from what sc-doll wrote in that blog, we miss a lot of copyright infringement that will never be found out :/
Is sc-doll on DoA ?
I would think that might help if they want to make it known that they shouldn't go to Impldoll for that head ?

The only thing that would happen is that the Avery head at least gets banned from DoA because of it being a modified recast, but it's at least something.
If not a comfort to the original artist.

I think the mods do know about this issue with the Impldoll, the question is whether they have taken any precautions against the definite plagiarism, or not. I can imagine how unpleasant and offensive this piece of news turned to be for Small and her friends, since they are only starting their doll-shop and brand. =___="

 

I made a thread in the Ask section and they are discussing the matter.

I fell completely in love with Kaka so I hope she/them won't feel discouraged from continuing their business by all of this..
Hopefully I can sneak an order once my bills are paid at the end of the month. :3

I would love to be able to buy the ears too! I really cannot wait to get Kaka too.
I also cannot wait to have him so I can stop saying Kaka. Being french, though it's a stupid reason, makes that name very funny xD

I do hope they continue making new heads and won't stop anytime soon. I really love their style and will most likely get more heads, especially if they have SDs soon ~

My DIM body is at the customs! I hope to see it in a couple of days, and then show Char on it.

 

Hm... I received the body yesterday. Unfortunately DIM is not a match for sc-doll at all - it's too pink, and the neck is too thick.

Yeah wow, thanks Reya! That yellowed doll-leaves seems nearly perfect. Do they naturally yellow that much on their own or was it prompted from a little too much sun/etc? I quite like DL bodies so its good to see Flower & Junior match it well enough yellowed, at least.

 

Great that you find it useful! The more hybrids people see, the better choice for bodies and skintones we will have. Sc-doll heads are adorable and deserve the best bodies for themselves!

I should say that Doll-Leaves dolls yellow like that on their own - when I received Wish 1.5 years ago, he was paper-white. He has turned light ivory since then. He never sat directly in the sun, and I took him for a walk outdoors only a couple of times.

Doll-Leaves bodies are cute and rather posable, the only thing that maybe could be better and more beautiful are hands - imo they are not very delicate in shape. But that's just for my taste.

I have a Char Head too and I'm waiting for a Kaka Head right now. ^_^
So cool I can post them here now!

Edit: I tried a Doll Leaves Boy Body for Char (WS) and the resin match is quite good! ^^
The Head is a little bit more creamy, but i liked it. I can post better pictures when my friend comes again with her body.

I've also emailed Small about Kaka, as my Char is so small and shy among my big boys. He needs some good company his age. X) Kaka would be definitely the best one to match him. *3*

Got a normal skin Char today, because I wanted normal instead of white... and I think I will give the white one to a friend >__<

Luts normal skin is a little bit too light and Fairyland is too pink/peachy? Hmm.... I wanted a Doll Leaves for my white one, but what do I do with normal skin now? xD

 

I have also received an answer from Small! But I guess I will have to wait a bit more than two weeks, because I need to wait for the release of Nima (he/she will be a present for my friend who absolutely loves cats, but hasn't got a BJD yet). I need them to be shipped together.

Joining the thread, since I ordered a Kaka head when I saw it on bjdcollectasy...

I have bought an old yellow skin DZ girl body, since it's lighter than the new DC yellow I hoped it would fit color wise... but since I am not so fond of this body... I have finally ordered a second one : a loongsoul msd girl in normal yellow... hope it will fit too...

Haven't heard back from Small yet...

And since 29. March (?) it's with that s***** company........
They want 27 Euro extra for taking it to you. AND the custom fees of course. So I payed shipping from China to me(!!!!) and customs and now they want again money from me.
That's why I wanted him to be shipped with YanWen. Only EMS gets stuck with the GDSK in Germany.
I'm dissapointed. He would be here since last week if it weren't EMS and the GDSK. .___.
Don't even understand why it's legal for that company to do such things in germany. -____-

Here another boy, his owner asked me to post quick photo showing nearly perfect skintone match with really old Dollmore kid body.
Also, that person says Boy&Girl normal yellow is looking very close to Kaka, and LUTS normal looking rather nice.

I have a KDF from summer 2012 and it's a terrible match.
Much too light and pinky.

 

Eeeee! Late to the party, but I got my Kaka on Monday ^_^ he's super cute...now I need a body 8 U any idea if doll chateau will fit?

 

If I can't find a Volks body I was thinking Dikadoll might be a good match.

 

I'll try an angellstudio solid butter(?) body for Kaka ns.
And for Char I'm not sure if I keep the ns oder the ws head.
The Char normal skin is really yellow, much more than Kakas normal skin.
If I keep ns I will try an B&G boy body.
If I keep the ws I know I take Doll Leaves.
Would have loved to get an Volks SDCute Body for Kaka, but it's limited like hell.
And Angel of Dream discontinued the 1/4 'muscle' body. ;___;

Or I could test some other resin matches when I visit Think Pink (Dealer).

LordHelmet - Thank you! :3 If you can wait, I will try some resin matches other than Volks. I want to visit Think Pink (a Dealer in Europe) and I want to compare with some normal yellow skin dolls or parts they have instock. ^__^

 

i found myself a volks msd boy second hand...i wasn't really excited to use it because i don't much like the hands...but...i painted him this weekend and now...i love him XDDD here he is!

He looks great! You were really able to make his eyes pop!

I tried to paint mine this weekend too.
I'm still not friends with my new sealant.. And not happy with how the lashes came out. I'm almost thinking about trying to open his eyes up a bit 'cause they're just sooo small!
I tried to define his nose a bit extra too. ^^;;

He still doesn't have a body though so he just borrowed a neck in the meantime.

Anyone here knows if Illusion Spirit neck would fit Kaka/Char neck hole? I think yellow skin would be a match .3.

 

Photos of my Char WS + Dollstown 5yrs boy body hybrid (oriental skin). ^^ If I had a possibility, I would buy a fresh skin body, but it's very rare, then I could find an oriental body only. I think a hybrid looks some strange, but I like DT bodies sooo much. XD

Could anybody tell me the size of wigs and eyes that Char and Kaka uses?
Did someone tried Angell-Studio body with Kaka? I know it matches volks skin, I'm a little bit worried about the neck size and the proportions :S

 

Wigsize is 7-8 inch and eyes 12mm (posted a picture on the last site with Makoeyes)

You can't get a dollstown boy body but you can order the girl 5 yo body. There is no real difference in size. I hadn't thought to try char on the 5 yo body. I tried my normal skin kaka on my 7 yo body and it didn't match at all.
