Sanding Q.: reducing "big boobie" chests?

    1. This is a question for those who have disassembled girl dolls....

      I'm getting the feeling that if I want a girl doll with a reasonably mature face, I'm going to also get stuck with a "larger-breasted" body. :( (Note: not ALL "more mature" females have large boobs! >:O )

      So, I was wondering: are girl doll's resin chests usually thick enough to be possible to "sand a C-cup down to an A-cup", or are the boobs generally pretty hollow on the inside (to save resin), thus preventing this?

      I understand this may vary by brand. I'm thinking in particular of SD13, though I have really no idea what brand of doll I might get at this point.

    2. If I stick my fingers up inside my SD13 Megu's torso, it feels like a straight line going all the way up her chest, so her breasts aren't hollow. In theory, then, they could be sanded down.

      Though, from what I remember when I was looking at getting an SD13, there are three different chest sizes. I can't remember who has which size, but I know she's the largest one. The smallest wasn't totally flat, but it was much less than Megu's.

    3. Blah. DoA randomly signed me out. I remember Nono had the smallest bust version, not sure about any of the other girls. Hope that helps any.

    4. I would imagine that you could sand down breasts, because of the way the dolls are molded-
      except, why would you? you'd loose so much detail~ most companies make different breast sizes, and i'm sure you could find someone to trade bodies with-
      I would be terrified to sand my girls, just because the detail is so incredible, and i don't think i could sand it, and maintain that-
      but it's really personal preference o_O;

    5. I guess what it is is I'm worried that I might end up with a doll for whom it might not be easy to aquire a different body for. (ie: What if I got a Ryung? Does her head work on other bodies? Would the resin match?)

      I really do NOT want a doll with "ample boobage" a la Lishe. >.< (Much as I like Lishe's head, I really DON'T like her big chest.)

    7. if you wanted a lishe head i saw somewhere on here that luts and volks colors match up really nice. so you could get a volks body with smaller boobed and have a lishe head. ^^

    8. Well, I just got the "mature Lishe" body and yes, the boobies are way bigger, but that's why i got her, going to switch out my SD13 head with the Lishe head, will probably sell the SD13 body
