Meetup San Francisco Meet-up at the Tea Garden

Mar 19, 2005

    1. About 15 people and 25 dolls braved the threatening weather for a meet-up at the San Francisco Tea Garden. We had a rainy day plan for the Conservatory, but luckily the weather behaved and the trees were in full bloom, so we had a great time with loads of photo ops.

Here's one group pic that links to some other pics I took:

Everyone, please post some more pics here or better yet, link to your site so that we don't overload the thread.

Thanks for making it -- I had a great time!

    2. What an awesome group of dolls and owners. I had a blast :D

Kelly, Hana is the belle of the ball :love

    3. a link to my photos is here.. http://www.livejournal.com/users/crybabymommie/ ...also I was thinking besides a victorian tea party theme we could do a naked day at the beach theme,we could still do towels and bikini ect...but wouldn't they all look cute!!! roasting marshmellows on a little bonfire .....hahahaha...i had fun today, thanks for the organizing Kelly, your dolls and skills as well as everybodys were awesome

    4. ROTFLMAO! Sure, why not?

I had a wonderful time today and am looking forward to whatever you dream up for next time!

    5. I had lots of fun too! This time I'll actually load my photos, and I'll probably steal Kelly's idea and make a little page.

As for the victorian tea party, the palace hotel would be great. Except we probably couldn't -afford- the tea, but the palace itself is a nice place for running around and taking a couple pictures.
We could also try to find a victorian-styled area for pictures, but I'm thinking a fancy hotel like the palace of the fairmont would look best.

It seems at every BJD gathering we have, Zephy has sparks with some dark, long-haired beauty.

I second (or third or forth?) the Victorian tea party. I am just dying to dress the dearlings up victorian style anyways, so having a gathering based upon that seems like a good excuse. =^^=

    7. Ack! I totally forgot about it >.< there wasn't a reminder on the live journal community -tears- Next time...I -have- to show off my dollies now that they are here :D

    8. Just wonderful pics - wish were were living on the other coast!

    9. *jealous* *giggle* it sounds like it was so much fun and the pictures are gorgeous :) I would have **MUCH** rather been there than moving :P (esp. cos it was raining in where I was moving from and too :P

That's the only one I've managed to transfer over so far. (my computer was throwing a hissy fit. >_>)

But I thought it was incredibly cute, so I chose that one. 'Tis Kellyhime's Hana... I'm not sure what her little boys are named though.

    11. Here is one of mine :chibi

    12. Astro -- It's too funny that someone took a picture of them in that state! Hana, Momiji and Megumi were taking a break after their photoshoot, while I went off to take some pics of the big boys and I was just trying to leave them in a safe, comfortable position.

Devon -- I love that pic! It looks like a scene from a Kurosawa film.

    13. Kelly! Long time no see, but now I know why...

What a great party, i wish i could have been there. So many lovely dolls, and what a gorgeous backdrop :D the pictures speak for themselves *is mighty envious*

Huge glomps to you and your resin rascals from my new tiny tot, and his siblings!

    14. Oh--it looks like a lovely day! And so many beautiful dolls!!!

    15. Beautiful pictures and what a perfect location!

Aznbutterfly, that picture you posted is stunning--it's like the cover of a manga!
