San Francisco JPOP Summit Festival 25th Aug Meet

    1. There is already a posting here for a meet-up at the JPOP Festival. However, I am posting information for another one that has been planned and officially sanctioned by the JPOP Summit Festival Organizers for Saturday, August 25, from 11 am until 1 pm. It will be the same place as last year's, and there will be prizes given (including gift certificates to New People Store).
      Maybe we could combine the two meet-ups? Or if you can't come on Sunday, maybe you could make the Saturday one or vice-versa!
      Chris (the organizer of last years and the one who put this one together with the JPOP people) was out for a couple of weeks with medical issues, so this is late being posted.
      Hope you can make it!
      Information below:
      Title of the Event: 2nd Annual J-Pop Summit Doll Meet
      When: Saturday August 25th, 11am - 1pm
      Where: J-Pop Summit Festival, outdoor Peace Plaza, the North East corner, look for the tree with pink & black lanterns, or lots of dolls!
      Admission: Free!

      The first 25 participants who show up get a free goody bag of treasure!

      Everyone who participates with at least one doll at the Meet gets to enter the Drawing for Free Great Prizes!

      Prizes:
      1st Place- $25 Gift Card to New People Store
      2nd Place- $25 Gift Card to New People Store
      3rd Place- $25 Gift Card to New People Store
      4th Place- DVD (choice of Kamakaze Girls or Nana)
      5th Place- DVD (choice of Kamakaze Girls or Nana)
      6th Place- DVD (choice of Kamakaze Girls or Nana)
      7th Place- DVD (choice of Kamakaze Girls or Nana)
      8th Place- DVD (choice of Kamakaze Girls or Nana)

      The 1-3 drawing prize winners have been invited to bring and talk about their dolls up on the Peace Plaza stage, if they wish (time to be determined).

    2. I'm a "maybe" for Saturday! I'd love to come, because I haven't seen you or Chris since forever.... But I'm going to a Cannibal Corpse show the night before, and 11 AM might prove to be a tad early for coherency. I'll see how my morning goes. ^^;; If not, maybe you guys will come to Sunday's meetup + I can see you there!

    7. Just a reminder that this event is coming up on the weekend! Hope to see some folks there- we had such a great response last year. If you check the JPOP Summit Festival Facebook page there are a couple of pictures up of dolls from last year.
      Should be fun!

    9. I'm so glad you bumped the news thread Cirquemom because I knew it was coming, but completely forgot when! It was a pleasure seeing you guys last year! I think I can make it on Sunday ^__^ Saturday unfortunately doesn't work for me :sweat I look forward to seeing the Sunday group!
