It all began when I complained about the lack of official merch in my favourite fandom. So what's a girl to do when she loves to get merch but it doesn't exist? Create them, duh! So my first foray into the hobby was custom making Nendoroid Ob11-sized dolls, from searching for specific parts to styling in a manner that best convey the images of the characters. I knew that before everything could come together, I also needed an eye-doll artist to make two pairs of unique resin eyes. I picked up a Dremel tool, sanded rough edges, bought soft pastels, miniature paints, brushes, watercolour pencils, and of course, MSC. I had done the simple faceups myself and I was fairly pleased with the results. It didn't stop there, of course. Multiple outfits, props and sets, and a lightbox for photography, and soon I wanted to give my characters more faceplates and 1/12 BJD mermaid bodies that I could also paint. Customization is vast and so much fun to just mess around and play! Now that I own a couple of blind box BJDs and written some new OCs, I am taking a crack at fashion doll customization next. And from hereon in BJD community, I am waiting to find or build the goth queen of my dreams
