Sailor Moon fans!

Sup! I'm a huge Sailor Moon fan as I've been watching them when I was younger (like a lot of people) and yet today I'm waiting the next "season" of Crystal

I don't religiously collect SM stuff but I like to add some stuff when I see something catching my eye. I'd say my latest SM goodies were the little Crystal re-ment food!

 

I am a pretty much a die hard Sailor Moon fan.. it's what sparked my interest in anime and manga, and probably BJDs now that I think about it, Since they remind me somewhat of anime characters with their big heads and eyes and long lithe bodies.

I collect a bit but I mostly love the story and the art, I've read all the manga and watched both the original and Crystal versions of SM. I like both, of course the original will always hold a very special place in my heart since I watched it first in 5th grade (1994-1995, I'm aging myself here, I'm 31 now) and it kinda was my "gateway drug" into anime.

 

I'm also a Sailor Moon fan! ♥ I'm basically obsessed with it. I could teach courses on "Sailor Moon Studies", haha~

 

Yes, I do. ♥ Right now I'm actively collecting the Miniaturely Tablet series and the PROPLICA items. I get a few other items here and there, but those two I am collecting in their entirety. I don't really like figures, generally speaking, but I LOVE things that look like brooches and toys that have sound and light. I just can't financially justify trying to collect everything. I do get a few things outside of what I listed above sometimes, especially if it's Chibi Moon related. (She's my favourite!)

Do you collect anything in particular?

 

Oh man, I love Sailor Moon. I've actually god a Proplica Cutie Moon Rod arriving at the house tomorrow! I also put up picture reviews of the SH Figuarts (well...the ones I buy, anyway) on my tumblr. Imposter Sailor Moon is my favorite, though I had to jump through hoops to get it.

I'm also casually working on a Sailor Moon tabletop roleplaying game in my free time (yes, I know one came out in the 90s. That one was terrible).

 

Sailor V has been ridiculous to find, there's a shortage of her. Someday I want to add her to my mini-collection, but...yeah. Reseller prices make me sad.

I do have a Super Sailor Moon...though not a regular one. XD

 

I'm a pretty big Sailor Moon fan (and I'm sorry, but I love the DIC dub version, haha, been watching that since third grade at least), but I haven't had time to watch any Crystal beyond the first episode. :T I'm thinking about getting a SH Figuarts Sailor Moon since all I have right now merch-wise is an ancient Tuxedo Mask chibi rubber-ish figurine, the newer Petit Charas of Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask, and an ochatomo (those adorable little figures that cling to the rim of your glass) of... you guessed it, Tuxedo Mask. You never forget your first anime crush.

 

I'm a fan of Sailor Moon! I don't have much in the way of merchandise, but I do have the series on DVD, and have fansubbed episodes of Crystal. I also have some of the novellas they'd released years back about each of the episodes from the first season. Don't think that book series was ever actually finished, though.

Oh, and I've written lots and lots of fanfiction about the show.

Of course video game people count, lol. I had a crush on Vincent Valentine, but I'm starting to derail the thread so I'll stop now, lol.

Okay, one more: I still have it pretty bad for Leon. Hahaha. RE4 Leon especially. Vincent was definitely a childhood thing though.

 

I wasn't sure I should post my little family saga here, but it's Brigadoon so, what the heck. Being a Sailor Moon fan has had a profound effect on my family, mostly on my daughter. I used to watch it with her in the '90s (my favorite episode was when a fat cat named Hercules fell in love with Luna) and the show sparked her interest in Japan which I'm sure it does in most of the young people who watch it. She was influenced to the point where she managed to spend one summer with a family in Hiroshima while she was in high school, then their daughter spent a year with us. She ended up taking Asian studies in college with more time in Japan as a student and then back again as a teacher of English.
Well the kicker is that she met a Japanese man who became her husband and they are now living in the States and have just had their second child. I don't think any of this would have happened without Sailor Moon, so you just don't know where that fandom will take you!
And she did collect a few items, they were hard to find at the time. I took a photo of one of them a few years ago.

Good luck with your niece! None of my daughters has an interest in dolls now that they are adults, but I have high hopes for my granddaughter.

 

That's pretty cool. I know several people who were inspired to learn Japanese and live in Japan for a year or two to teach English, and pretty much due to Sailor Moon.

Fun fact: The fat cat in that episode is actually named Rhett Butler (or Red Butler; hard to tell with the accent. lol). I guess DiC changed it because nobody in the targeted age group would get the reference, whereas everyone knows who Hercules is. lol

 

Yes, she also made some fast friends from America while she was in Japan. That's funny about the cat's name. I think I prefer Hercules, it's a more classical reference!

 

I love Sailor Moon! I have lots of goodies, but over the years I've sold off TONS of Sailor Moon stuff. That's how I keep from being a hoarder, I sell my forgotten stuff to others! Here's my Sailor Moon Pullip:

I'd love to commission someone to make a Trinity-sized Princess Serenity gown. And then find a child-sized wig that could be altered to fit her head. My Lumie would make a fantastic Princess Serenity.

 

Sailor Moon is my childhood. XD The DIC dub was my first exposure but my favorite's always been the manga. I used to love seeking out the individual little comic book volumes. Having it all in lovely graphic novel form now is awesome. I recently bought the original anime and have slowly been watching my way through it out of order. Started with Stars since I'd never seen it. Only have about half of R left to go. Got about half-way through Crystal so far too.

I mostly collect Serenity and Luna things since they're my favorites. Miniaturely Tablets too. And the little die-cast keychain charms. I've also got a huge weakness for crystal lotuses.

I just received my Spiral Heart Moon Rod and it was totally worth it. I need to rearrange my display area so that I can put it out. ♥ It's very large!

 

Yes, I will. I've decided to get all of the PROPLICA items, because I've been so happy with them. I have the Rainbow Moon Chalice and the Cosmic Heart Compact on preorder. ♥

 

The weapons are fun, but I really like both types! I like the light and the recorded voice and music. I always wish I had bought more of the toys in the 90s. PROPLICA lets me enjoy buying more of this kind of toy with even prettier designs and more features! ♥ So it's a ton of fun~

ahhhhh a moonies thread! I've got the sailor moon pullip that my fiance bought me for my birthday! I don't have many other collectors items. I used to but my mom threw them out when I was 12 because I was "too old to be playing with them."

I love Sailor Saturn, and Sailor Moon by extension.
When I moved out of my parents house, I had to sell some of my SM merchandise, and am really annoyed I did. Especailly since my mother did not follow through with "throwing anything left, out."
But I still have my SM keytar, which I'm determined wasn't super popular since I've only encountered one other owner on the net of the model I have. My Stallion lathe and my star locket, and most of the mib dolls.
Still, sold my cresent wand/sceptre/and jewelry box. Sad and regret that, but know there's no way I'm ever going to spend the money to replace them. They were all NIB, so to replace them would be more than I'd be willing to spend on something that's just going to sit there that I won't play with.
I've transitioned into BJDs! Cause they're pricey, but at least I can play with them without effecting their worth to much!

I'm ashamed to say it, but I was bought a Chinese knockoff version of Samantha Vega's little sailor moon purses, and have not regretted it since (Birthday present but still, it's cute). Not to mention, I own a pretty transformation make-up compact, and a Sailor Moon Crystal transformation pen.
Sailor Moon is totally my aesthetic.

Like many in this thread, Sailor Moon is what got me started with BJDs, too! My first is actually going to be based off of Sailor Pluto!

I collected a whole lot, but had to sell most of it due to funds...
I still have almost the entire unpainted gachapon set (missing the villians, ahhh), a pencil tin, and a few Cyrstal figures (keychains, and tiny figures). I'm trying to find Pluto as the Figuarts for a decent price and desperately wish they'd come out with a Neo Queen Serenity doll!!

 

Yes! Have you seen her? She's gorgeous, but exclusive so the price is going to be INSANE! I never though of a NQS Figuart - you've got me super hopeful now!

I love SM also, and crystal is alright. It's almost like dragon ball z. I'm like hanging at the end of the episode.

For any Sailor Moon fans who also enjoy mobile gaming, the adorable game Sailor Moon Drops (released in Japan in September 2015) has now been released in English!

It's a super-cute game, similar to Candy Crush (or any other jewel-matching game) and it follows the story of Sailor Moon and her fellow Guardians (Senshi/Sailor Scouts) through the series. I only downloaded this game 2 days ago, and I am already addicted. I cannot emphasize enough the cuteness of each character and their actions as you play.

The game is available for both iOS and Android - just search the app store for "sailormoon drops" (note that "sailormoon" is all one word, no spaces). Have fun playing!

Wow, why haven't I seen this thread before!?
I've been a Sailor Moon fan ever since I was a kid. Unfortunately I never had access to all the goodies that were released back then so all these new merchandise coming out makes me feel like I'm a little girl again. I've been collecting the Figuarts figures, tablets, gashapons and most of the stationaries like the pointer pens and pencil cases. I recently got my first Proplica and I'm really impressed with how beautiful and detailed it is. So my next goal is to buy all the Proplicas. Also the Kaleidomoon Scope pen and the Eternal Set to complete my pen collection!
I wanted to have a set of dolls too but unfortunately I'm not a Pullip fan. I really hope we get more Sailor Moon dolls in the future like the old Irwin sets. it would be amazing if Azone or Sekiguchi partnered with Bandai and re-released some of the older dolls. I'd die for a Sailor Moon Wedding Doll. I can't bring myself to collect the old ones mostly because I'd want the complete sets and I don't have the time to spend on hunting them down and also it would be super expensive.

 

Sailor Moon is my life, man. Want to customize a doll into Usagi one of these days.

 

I'm the same way as you. I limited myself to only ones that I found for cheap that I could fix up! I found a Sailor Pluto with a leg snapped off that I was able to fix and a Princess Serenity with a dirty dress. Both had tangled hair and some dirt, but they turned out almost perfect! I decided to get a new dress for Serenity to make her the Queen. Oh, also re-did her buns. Both I found on LiveJournal for $5 each not too long ago. Don't say never!!
