Bio: Cali was given her name because of her older sister Charlie, Charlie, being a nickanme, has an unusual first name and she begged her parents to give her new sister something normal. So her parents decided on Cali, short sweet “normal” and means beautiful just like her sisters name. When Cali was a toddler she and her parents were on a road trip to go see her older sister, who was away at college. They got in a car accident, Cali survived but her parents did not. It was a cold night and Cali got very sick from it, she got a very high fever and it turned her hair gray, sadly she has not said a word since the accident. Her doctors call it post traumatic stress and say Cali will speak when she’s ready. Until recently she and Charlie lived in their hometown in Ireland, but they needed a change so Cali and her sister are moving to the US to be with her best friend Riley. Riley has always been Cali’s voice she somehow knows exactly what Cali wants to say or needs. Her family is so used to it they don’t second guess when Riley answers for Cali. Cali and Riley are total opposites, Cali doesn’t like anything bright or over stimulating, except her sisters music. Cali prefers quiet places and soft colors, she wears mostly whites and creams and pastels, but will wear a natural brown and green once in a while and is almost always barefoot. Cali tends to gravitate to people who are calm and still.

Bio: Thousands of years ago, Yumi's father fell in love with a Japanese woman, Miyuki. Fey much outlive humans, and she aged and passed while he retained his youth and beauty. He eventually settled down to have children with a woman from his own fey village in Germany, praying every night that his child would be as beautiful as Miyuki. Several hundred years ago, his wife gave birth to a daughter that looked nothing like either of them, and every bit like his beloved Miyuki. He chose to call her Yumi, meaning "great beauty".

Since her birth, Yumi has spent most of her life exploring the German countryside, where she learned to play piano and flute. In the early 1960's she moved to Japan to experience the culture of the woman her father loved so. Her sweet and gentle soul became a beacon, pulling many friends to her and making the transition to life in a different country extremely simple. She fell in love with their fashion, but still prefers the styles of her home.

In 2011 she moved to Iowa and currently shares a home with Mercury and Nicholai. Her favorite room in the house is the kitchen, where she enjoys spending the day baking. When she's not baking pies, she sews, knits, and plays piano. Occasionally she sneaks out of the house with Nicholai while Mercury is not around, and greatly enjoys spending the day lying in the grass and watching the clouds go by.

Story: Joren is a very, very, very special little girl. She's the narrator of my stories, and she's been with me for at least ten years. When I saw the pictures of Fairyland's Dark Elf Soo, I knew it was time for her to come home. Joren claims persistently that she is a fairy, and I do not doubt this. She's brought a fair share of magic into my life. She's danced across pages and pages of my failed attempts to finalize and formalize her story, until finally I realized that her story is in the telling of tales. She is indeed a magical little elfkin, who weaves her magic in my mind, and her stories in my heart.
