USA Round1 Arcade, Lancaster PA - Monthly meetup Starting January 2024

    1. Hey all, it's been a while!

      Is anyone near or willing to travel to Round1 Arcade in Lancaster PA for monthly doll meetups?

      It's a really cool location with a lot to offer, including an arcade full of Japanese import games of all kinds, really cute gachapon and claw prizes, karaoke and more! It's attached to the Park City Center mall which also has several bookstores that have manga, anime and video game merch, and bubble tea stands!

      I will be moving back to the Lancaster area at the end of November this year; I imagine with the tasks of moving and the holidays, I won't have time to set anything up until January, so this is an early-ish feeler, but it does give everyone time to plan ahead, which is always nice. :)

      Zenkaikon is also in this area, which takes place in March this upcoming year: Zenkaikon
      I'd be open to setting up a separate meetup for that, unless one already exists. We could also temporarily move this meetup to Zenkaikon for the month of March, if everyone was interested.

    2. How often there Meet-ups? I never noticed, I visited PA sometimes, may b I am interested)) and how big is doll community there? Means how big is usually meetup?) very interesting)

    5. I may be able to get out to Lancaster via Amtrak from Philadelphia, but it doesn’t look like there are any transit options to either Round1 or Zenkaikon :(

      Right now I travel to the NYC meet as my regular doll meet up because I can get there without a car. I am hoping that we can get a regular one going closer to Philly so I can meet more doll collectors more often.

    6. There is a comic shop and a nice little sushi place right across from the train station. UBER will also be there as well as maybe a taxi or two. There are bus routes that go downtown from the station which is where the convention center is. It might be a bit harder to go from the bus directly to Round1 but I'm not sure. Though I would love a Philly meetup too!

    7. I might be a bit late to this party, but, I’m in the area and would be interested.

      I’m usually too cheap for Zenkaicon, though. :sweat I know someone used to have a BJD meet at the con, but I don’t know who or if it’s still running.

    8. I don't really know where to look to see if there is one but having a meet up at the same time as Zenkaicon doesn't sound terrible. There are lots of places downtown to meet up as well. Lancaster Troll Market has a sort of gaming room to rent and its near Central Market so there would be plenty of food options. I would be willing to rent it out for a few hours if there was an interest. I'm sure we could car pool too if people need to get from the train station.
