Well...they need to unfocus on The Gem dolls.....!

 

I agree! They have so many Gem dolls and they're starting to get repetitive. . . . Why not mix it up by adding in a new Rosette?

 

Yeah, the Gems were exciting when only one a month came out. Now like 5 come out a month and I'm getting sick of them. I want some more Rosettes!

I actually planned on ordering a new girl soon-ish, but see that all their products are out of stock... Sadness. Anyone knows anything about when they will open for business again?

 

No one knows. They claimed they are focusing on The Gem dolls now (they seem to just be regurgitating the same sculpts).

Go bug them on their Q&A board to release them again!

Man whats it with SOOM, that's so weird. As soon as I got teh power I will totally go and bother them.

By the way, it's Ophelia's 7th anniversary soon, and for the occassion I gave her a make over! I don't know who still knows my Rosette Violet, seeing as I've been absent for a while :'D ... But I gave her a realistic albinism look to match her light hair (I look at old pictures of her and am like wtf this isnt pretty what did I do to that poor doll) and will post a picture soon

 

Are people still interested in the old Spring, Summer and Extra curricular girls? not sure if those older dolls and outfits are appreciated any more now that the newer fantasy stuff is out ... mine still have their original outfits and faceups

 

I love the extra-curricular girls! I wanted Camillia cute inventor so bad but she was gone before I could get the money together. The Victorian outfits were amazing too! I love them. I really miss Rosette dolls.

 

I was lurking this thread and just wanted to say that your girl makes me want a Soom Rosette someday (never paid much attention to the line before). She's absolutely gorgeous!!

Haha~ thanks! She's my only Rosette but I definitely adore her~ I never paid much attention to them myself until I came across her They used to come out with such beautiful limited dolls. Hopefully we'll see more from them again soon.

What’s the latest? It's my lovely girl

 

I'll be having a fir show up in a weekish and I had a few questions. What size wig? 6-7 or 7-8? and is there anything else I should know? Do DZ clothes fit? There's a couple outfits I like.

 

I only have my Elf Delilah, so I can't speak for all sculpts, but her head is tiny. She wears a 6/7, but often needs a wig cap to prevent slippage. In my experience, the Leekeworld 6/6.5 wigs fit beautifully. As for clothing, I've never bought DZ clothes, but my girl (who is on the shorter Muse body NOT the super tall body) does share some clothes with my Minifee...however they are large on her as she is very skinny. It may be the same with the DZ clothing, depending on which body it was intended for.

Anyway, I made some new under garments for Saria yesterday and she refuses to put on clothing until I finish knitting her sweater dress I promised her for Christmas...Link to photo here.

 

DZ clothes do not fit, nothing fits that isn't specifically for Rosettes
Wait, take that back, stretchy Yo-SD shirts and minifee sized shoes do fit, some Dollmore fashion doll sized outfits also work

 

Are DZ clothes to big or small? A lil big is fine.

 

HUGE. Comically huge. Like 2 Rosettes could fit in the clothes (and still have room)

 

@ahalfling If you are looking for clothes that fit, Frezje on Etsy will make her MSD dresses in Rosette size if you put it in a note when you order. I also have a shirt and capri pants from Brennil (Her Delicate Strength) that fit relatively well - the pants are loose in the waist but still look fine and the shirt fits her quite well (although the other t-shirt I have from the same place in a different style is a bit large). My girl also mines clothes from my YoSD kiddies...she sometimes wears a 5StarDoll dress with Lati Green leggings from nubanded. I havent officially tried it, but I bet from how large they are that the ttya YoSD t-shirts would fit. I'm lucky in that all three of my MSDs are different sizes, so if I order something chances are it will fit one of them, but I would say Saria is the hardest to find things for.

 

I'm looking for a circus/burlesque look clothing wise for her. Any suggestions where to look for clothes?

I just found the Rosette line and love the sculpts! So sad it has been discontinued.
Does anyone have any fresh news about the potential re-release?

 

Go to the Rosette site and bug them to continue the Rosette line~! I enquire about them every so often and they told me if they released them again they would post it on their facebook page and stuff. I haven't heard any news lately though.

 

I enquired about the Rosettes again, asking if they have been discontinued permanently. Instead of answering the many questions I asked them in the message, they sent me the same "automated" response we have all been getting.

 

Hey, long time no post~
I wanted to share these new boots that just arrived for my Vela. Sorry she is butt-naked, literally; she is still incomplete (I've just never got around to finding/making the perfect skirt for her). But I was so happy with the good fit of the boots that I wanted to show her off anyway.

These are the boots I got from SoulDoll. They also have another version in a lighter colour.
I've been searching for tall heeled boots for Vela for so long. The best I got and settled on until now were a pair of glossy black boots from SW&doll, which were only two-thirds the length. Even the tall flat boots from Rosette's own store barely reached higher than that. The SoulDoll boots looked almost ridiculously tall in the website, but I bought them doubting there could ever be something too long for a pure Rosette. Apparently I cut it fine!

(Vela is on the pure body with Rosette heeled feet.)

 

Hey- have you all seen the IpleHouse Creaa-J dolls?? They look like they'd be able to hybrid with Rosettes and I think their clothes will fit too! PLUS- anyone still looking for a tall boyfriend for their Rosette girl might want to check out Lev!!

 

I knew they had the girl Creaa-J dolls, but I didn't know they had a boy!! I've been looking for a tall "boyfriend" for my girl for awhile, but all the boys look WAY out of proportion for the Rosettes.

Anyway, is there a picture anywhere of the boy body? I can only find images with clothes on.

Here is a comparison chart I have been working on for a while. This chart is by no means accurate, but it can give people a rough idea on size/proportion. The Creaa-J is a good fit. The image with the IOS and Rosette together were taken by me with my dolls.

P.S. I have heard Withdoll heads go well with Rosette bodies, so they might go well with Creaa-J bodies as well if you don't like the Lev head.

That's a shame. There aren't many other companies that offer the unique aesthetic and grace that Rosettes possess.
On the other hand I wish Soom would just either share some concrete info on the future of the line publicly, or own up to the end of the line in a proper announcement.

This is such sad news! I wonder what the last line sold was and if it did so poorly... Grateful to have the small Rosette family that I do.

 

From what I understand, the sculptor wanted more money and Soom said no so Emma (the sculptor?) stopped sculpting for them and now there is a legal issue and they can't sell the dolls?

So here my monthly inquiry for Soom to do something with Rosettes. I asked if they were going to make a male Pure body and this was their response:

There was that final 'push' though before the Rosette line went dead, where they released ALL sculpts as basics for both male and female for one sales period. I may have misinterpreted, but it felt like a last-ditch attempt at reviving the line, before they lost momentum and gave up.

Also... Emma is the sculptor? The one whose Twitter page we got sneak peeks from whenever new dolls were coming? I always thought she was just a customer service rep or something ._.

 

Yea, I totally missed that ordering period. I wasn't even aware they had released boys at that time. *cries*

And I am not sure Emma is the sculptor, which is why I put the question mark there.

I am going to quest to collect more of these girls. I am so sad they aren't made anymore and while I didn't miss the last order I DIDN'T KNOW IT WAS THE LAST *sobs* and I didn't have the funds to order any of them and now I have deep regrets.

 

I'm always so grateful I was able to order the Fairy Tale Delilah, especially with the Rosette line more of less gone

I don't take photos of her enough but I snapped a quick one tonight. She's so pretty

 

Well Rosette Quest has begun in earnest. I have a Violet on layaway (which will bring me up tp 2 Violets...) AND a Sakura head I found on FB BJD sales page. SO I will have a complete Sakura! In a while... And I am searching out more. But I'm still so sad about this line of dolls.

 

I'm super sad about this as well. I currently have 6 Rosettes and a seventh one in the process of coming home. I have two Violets, Sakura, Camellia, Vela, Delilah, a Hazel boy and the soon to be girl will be a second Camellia.

She's beautiful! Your lucky to have so many girls! I DEEPLY regret not buying more while I had the chance and now I'm frying to play catch-up via the marketplace but I don't have the money to throw at them that I'd like. Still, I'm doing pretty well. I already have Violet, sleepy Fir, tan Vela and Armeria.

On the way is Violet the Second, a Sakura head and a the girl body. But I SO very wanted a Camellia, Dahlia and an open eyed Fir. Lesigh...

I took a few photos of Rhea and was editing one in Photoshop as it turned out grainy and it somehow ended up looking half decent??

I'm "lucky" with rosette, I succedeed to buy 2 Fir, BUT...
- First one has a modded nose (why ?) and a partial bood work. By "partial", I mean she looked like someone took a bite in one boob, and the other had holes also.
- second one has lost 2 fingers, the romantic eyes have been badly opened and the previous owner added a penis...
It almost look like a (bad) joke.
I'm sanding the first one...
