Here is my Fir in her Sailor Moon cosplay

 

@Arekushia They were! everything she has on (including her eyes and wig) were part of her fullset when she was available. Your Fir looks so pretty as Sailor Moon. Now that I think about it the Rosette's have the perfect body shape to cosplay the Sailor Moon gals

I just got back into hobby, slowly catching up with things after years of break and noticed there is no Rosette available on Soom site for purchase? Were they discontinued or something?

 

Yes, they were discontinued. However, Soom will not admit that for some reason. I messaged them several times over the years asking about them but they simply say "they want to focus on 'The Gem'".

 

@Anshishoku , thanks for the reply. What a shame though Rosette was always one of my faves, I am just glat to still have 2 girls. What could be the next similar doll?

 

Well, Iplehouse Creaa-J dolls kina sorta have the same proportions (really long legs).

 

I was so sad to see that Rosettes were discontinued after I had left the hobby! My collection has been rehomed by now, but I always loved them and their long bodies. The Creaa-j dolls from Iplehouse look like they have a very similar aesthetic and body type, though with much smaller busts. Have any other companies stepped in by now to fill the Rosette hole? It's a shame, I thought I saw they had made a few tan ones or elves before the end but now I can't find any.

 

Dream Valley has long thin bodies. I currently have a male Dream Valley for the male counterpart to my Rosette girl. They are a tad taller than the Rosette girls!

 

I had to go look them up! Wow, Dream Valley is quite something Incredible designs. I like the thigh and knee joints too, they seem like great posers.

Hopefully, Soom will one day come back to Rosettes, or at least fold their body type into The Gem line (I'm not sure how the different lines were managed-- a different factory perhaps?)

 

I don't think the Rosettes are ever coming back I managed to get a Sakura and I have about 3.5 Violets now but I need the open eyed Fir and my darling Camillia

 

That would be SO SAD! I hope that everyone with the remaining dolls will share their lovely Rosettes with us

 

Yea, I think Soom is done with Rosettes for good. I have contacted them several times about them and they have "no plans for them in the future".

I am also looking for a few more heads and one of those rare boys. I have only ever seen one male for sale.

Yup, they are stupidly rare though and were not made in the tall size, only the muse size.

 

I should get some pics of my girls and post them. I just don't have enough clothes for everyone! Or at least, clothes I like...

 

I was SO MAD I never got any of the boys!! I was stupidly waiting for Pure size and then the whole line got cancelled!

 

Holy SMOKES the boys are so cute! And I love the thought of them being shorter than the pure girls, haha :P

Such a shame the line ended! Come on Soom...

 

I managed to order a brown tan hazel, I discovered he was on sale and was so happy with it, wanted another or two to go with, and nothing... I got 2 damaged Fir to go with, but I'd love to get another good shape girl or boy !

 

For a brief time I had TWO Firs- open eyed and dreaming and I SOLD the open eyed Fir because I'd had twins before and it hadn't clicked and I now deeply regret it.

 

Dolly regrets are so real!

I have rehomed all my Rosettes by now, but luckily don't regret it, since I hadn't pulled them out from their case for five or so years. It was really nice to send them all off to new homes. But I am still sad the line ended! I would love to see fresh new looks and more of these elusive boys haha :P

 

Yea, I wasn't even aware they had boys on sale, or I would have bought one or two! That was the year I went on hiatus in the doll world and now I am so maaaaad!

Absolutely gorgeous! Is that her default costume? I have never seen owner pictures of tan Rosettes before What a rare beauty!

 

@Anneke Yup the outfit is the default one but it's really loose on her, I think it was designed with the pure "lady" body in mind.
She also has a little magnetic tail and little hoovie shoes! I'm nuts about them.

WHAAAAAAAAT!!!!!!! Neo angel region is a different doll line, though. I bet it's NOT Rosettes and they just have a doll of that name.

 

SOOM announced a few weeks ago that the sculptor behind neo-angel region was starting their own website and parting ways, they did a clearance event with left-over in-stock items. I'm hoping this means Rosettes are actually back.

 

I really hope it's true, but I will believe it when I see it. I still want a Rosette boy. I am hoping they make them with the long legs like the girls instead of muse size. Either way, I still want a muse boy too!

 

I don't mind if they re-work the bodies but I hope it's not before they give us an epic Free Choice event.

 

I'd be so into it if they re-worked the bodies to be double jointed. These girls were so pretty but their rom and posing was a little limited

 

So I asked Soom directly. This was their response:

 

WELL WTF DOES THAT MEAN!?! They can't tease Rosettes coming back then say that nothing has been decided!!! ARG!!!!

 

I am just hoping I don't miss the release. I completely missed the boy's release T.T

 

I'm hoping they aren't screwing with us! I have been waiting years for more Rosettes and had given up all hope!

 

Soom marketing continues to be the absolute worst!

 

For those of you who need a male counterpart for your Pure Rosette girl, here is a Dream Valley Seren next to a Pure Girl Camellia. I think these two work out great. I bought him specifically for my girl character I am working on and am so happy it works!

This Dream Valley body is the third arm body, which is not attached so he is incredibly loose and cannot stand, so he needed a little help with a doll stand.

Thanks for the comparison shot!! I have been wondering about Dream Valley boys but haven't seen any with a Rosette girl! There's a normal version of that Dream Valley body isn't there?

 

Yup, they have a regular body that doesn't have three arms.

Arg... not my favorite head. I was hoping for a return of a ton of options and all the sculpts. I may wait for Camellia, if they re-release her.

 

While I wish they would bring back the Pure girls, I'm glad to see any kind of Rosette news! Hopefully if Delilah's re-release goes well, they'll release more sculpts and body types in the future.

That being said, it is a bonus that we'll finally see some new clothes for these lanky ladies!

 

I wish they would bring back the clothes for the Rosette lines. I personally feel like the Rosette lines died out because they kept releasing the same sculpts in different outfit sets without split options, and a lot of people were not willing to pay so much for the same sculpts again. Splits were not common then since the outfits were more in demand than the dolls themselves. I miss the outfits where each girl had her own colored cameo brooch. Right now the outfit is sold separately, but at nearly $300 with a limited quantity of 20.

 

Well, that was anti-climatic. I don't like the head and she isn't one of the Pure girls. I fell in love with them because of their leggy-ness after all. IM SO DISSAPOINTED!

Let us bombard Soom with emails with the dolls we want!

The dress is lovely, though.

 

I'm disappointed that the only body option for her is the Muse body... the Pure body is really what made Rosette unique.

Still, I hope that this at least allows some people who missed out on Deliliah to get her. ♥

 

And meanwhile I would have loved to get a doll but not the outfit, but didn't have the money to spend on them until long after they were gone.
Sad. Delilah isn't my favorite sculpt, but if she was on the Pure body I would buy her in a heartbeat. My Pure body Rosettes are the best posers I own.

 

Agreed. I was saving my pennies for a Rosette girl and... well, maybe not?

 

Delilah seems like an odd choice, I feel like there were a few others that would be much more popular like Fir. Hopefully, folks excited for that dress and the sculpt will be super jazzed. The dress is poofy enough that it might fit a pure? Interesting to see where this all goes. Glad Rosettes are back one way or another

 

I know the Vela head is super popular, maybe they should have re-released that sculpt. If they put a boy up for sale, I am definitely grabbing one.

 

I want an open eyed Fir and Camellia. I finally got a Sakura head. But I want other colors too. I don't MIND the Muse body, I fell like they would good "little sisters" but I adore the long legged body.

 

Random: I wonder if they are going to use their new certificate system with the new Rosettes. The NFC system (which I think is cool).

 

I'm guessing that they chose the Muse body for this release since it's closer to "standard" slim MSD proportions, but yeah- the whole thing that set Rosettes apart to begin with were the lanky, leggy bodies! I would LOVE to see a re-release of Fir too. She's the main head sculpt that I always pined after but was never able to add to my collection.

 

I'm so excited for this re-release!
I completely fell in love with the Vela sculpt when I found him sitting in a second hand store in Tokyo, but didn't have the money to buy him then. Just three weeks ago, I was able to find a Vela for sale and immediately snatched her up.
I want my Vela to be a boy, however right now his head is sitting on the long legged girl body. I was originally planning to find a different body for him and just sell off the rosette body and @Anshishoku was a huuuge help with hybriding suggestions.
However, I completely and utterly fell in love with this long legged body the moment I held it in my hands, so now plans have changed and I'll just have his chest piece modded. This came as a huge surprise, too, because I originally didn't like the body at all due to it being so tall.

However, if Soom ever decides to re-release the Vela sculpt, I'm definitely snatching another one up!
