Hello everybody! I do not see much talk here and in general RL girls are not so much around not even in the market place... I was away.. Did I miss so much?..
I have seen the announcement about this event. I also love the new MC Bambi a lot! Bambi is such a cute sculpt!
Sorry for posting here I'm not sure whether to pose in here or the mini size discussion lol but I was wondering... are the holiday child dolls genderless or do they come in girl/boy bodies?
Thank you so much! I was thinking of making a boy but so far all I've been seeing from owner pictures are girls with the exception of a couple of boys which I think are the boy version LEs, so I couldn't be sure if I could make a basic Holiday child a boy lol.
You are welcome! I have one. I made a boy from my Bambi Reverie ver. but the head was sent to a faceup artist so I cannot provide any pictures at this moment.
Photos of the old body. They are offering a new body that is a little bigger and better joints. The body is genderless (is that the right word?) I have two painted more as boys but I use as girls. http://www.rosenlied.com/eng/sub/faq.php?Mode=view&no=153&start=0
I am planning to buy a preloved rosenlied tuesday girl when i go japan in 2 weeks time, 1 of the shop i planning to visit have lavender and chocolat. Chocolat is in new body and default faceup but she cost abt $150 more than lavender! Lavender might need a new faceup tho! Tough choice! Sadly rosenlied chat seem really quiet!
I think when you see them you will know which one to get. You will be drawn to one or the other. If the difference in price is an issue, you could consider doing the face-up yourself on lavender, or having a friend do it for you. Even if you have to pay someone to do a face-up, it will cost much less than the $150.00. On the other hand, if the new body gives you more options for posing and is more stable when standing, sitting, etc, you might want to pay the extra money. Some pre-loved dolls need to be restrung. Good luck. Enjoy your trip!
Did anyone else order a doll from Rosenlied in their last sale? I am excited to receive my two girls (Tuesday's child Bambi and Pansy) so I was looking for threads here to look at pictures, there's some very cute dolls here! Also I am sorry if I am not supposed to post in threads with no posts for a long time, I couldn't find anything about it in the rules but please let me know if I am doing the wrong thing!
Congratulations! I did not order but I have Pansy. You will be very happy. I will post a picture soon.
me!! I ordered holidays bambi and bambi reverie to have twins im so excited!! My birthday is in the last day of the month and im so happy with my accidental birthday present, but at the same time, so sad, bc rosenlied was one of the first companies i met back in 2009... i hope the creators continue to do things that makes them happy...
I really hope they keep doing things as well, they made such lovely dolls! I've admired Rosenlied for a long time, so in some ways I am glad I got the final push to actually buy their dolls, but I wish it hadn't been such a drastic thing!
My pansy arrived today! I bought a random set of 5 wigs with her, and this is one of them, the dress was a free gift! I have her head off now to do a faceup but she is such a well made doll, I'm very pleased. My Bambi seems to be lost in the post, so I hope they find her soon, I'll be so sad if she is lost and I can never replace her now
Bambi has also arrived safely with me now! I have started the faceups on both girls, but I am waiting for lashes to arrive in the mail that I only just remembered to order, oops! Bambi was on the new slim body, but I actually prefer her on the more chubby one and pansy on the slim one so I have swapped them.
Please excuse the double post, but I have given my Rosenlied girls faceups now, so I wanted to post them! They are still missing eyelashes, but I think they are quite pretty anyway, they are such lovely sculpts.
@perfectionismxx Your girls are adorable! I agree that you have them on the appropriate bodies for the heads! The faceups are great!
As someone who's been interested in the Rosen Lied dolls from afar, how do they compare to the Luts Tiny Delf line?
My Rosenlied girls are Tuesday's Child, so closer to a Honey Delf than a Tiny Delf. Monday's Child would be a better comparison but I don't own one. I also only own a Luts Tiny 20, but both RL girls both pose better and hold poses better than my tiny20 does, I am actually quite disappointed in the range of movement the Luts girl has in her legs. She's pretty though so she gets away with it. I don't know if that is an issue other Luts dolls have. Of the two I would say that the chubbier body poses better than the slim one, but both are quite nice to play with. Maybe someone who owns a more standard Luts Tiny or a Monday's Child (or both!) can answer better though, but I figured I'd give you my input anyway.
I've had such fun re-reading through all of the Rosen Lied threads and now I finally have a little Tuesday's Child of my own on the way! I just won an auction on Yahoo! Japan for a Limited Wild Strawberry Fairy Maret! She is absolutely stunning and totally worth being awake at 2am in a bidding war for. She will be my smallest BJD, as all my other dolls are 1/4 or 1/3 scale!
Monday's Child dolls are fairly similar, a little wider in the chest, but my experience is the same outfits fit both. Monday vs Tiny Delf by clochette62, on Flickr
