In2themystik2: Thanks for the great pictures. I have decided to wait on Flora at this time. Another doll as grabbed my interest for now. I will keep Flora on my wish list and will get normal skin when I do order. Your MNF's look great with Daisy. She fits in nicely.

CatsPajamas: In2themystik2 answered all your questions. I have a 1mim wig made for Little Fee and fits Tuesday perfectly. I much prefer the RL Tuesday over Little Fee. The posing is not as good as Fairyland but not bad either. Good luck with your decision. Melody is pretty. Customer service is excellent!

I thought we'd get a new thread soon! Thanks Oliveoil! Who else caught your attention?? I am eager to see what FL is coming up with for the Feeple 60 doll! I was one of the original people waiting for the FL Victoria Francis project doll a year ago that has yet to be released. Just curious who caught your attention!

Back on topic! I posted this picture at the end of the last thread and thought I'd post it here since that thread closed. Just to get the thread started! Oooh, and I just won a pair of boots tonight on ebay that I'm hoping will fit my WC Daisy and go well with the limited outfit she is wearing!

Ah.. your Daisy is so sweet. I'm still trying to decide on a size as my first RL doll. Each has her own appeal and it's making things so much harder!

A question addressed to all RL owners, what were your reasons for picking your first doll size?

 

My first BJD size was YOSD. My first BJD was a Jaime Doll and I also had a Berdine Creedy BJD. I don't have either of them anymore, but I sort of had to "try" a couple out before I got a feel for it. I had never had the opportunity to see a BJD in person before. Then I fell in love with FL LTF Bisou and I sold the others and got her. I guess I felt like the YOSD size was a good size to try out first for me. It wasn't as much of an investment as some of the other larger size, but substantial enough. Then I branched to other FL sized and last summer/fall, I got my first RL TC doll.

I don't know what size I like best of the ones I have. I go back and forth sometimes, but I like them all. I have a Pukipuki, a pukifee and two MC sized, 2 littlefee and one TC, and three MSD/slim minis (two MNF and my WC Daisy). And they're all girls!

Eventually I might try a SD sized BJD, but haven't had one so far!

 

I have been lurking and looking at all the lovely spam. I would love to see any face-ups
by Derek, but especially Beige.

 

My first, second and third (and certainly the thourth lol) by Volks ! After (really after i was in love with unoa and after tiny size with a Yo)

 

Ocean girl - I have limited Wednesday Benjamen and limited Sage boy by Deredj. I fell in love with her face ups after seeing your custom Sage girl. She is amazing and could be my favorite TC doll. I love Kana as well, have two MC by her but no TC so can't wait. It looks like she did Chocolat amazing especially the eyes. I like when there is lots of paint used, especially by someone who knows how to paint well. I keep saying I have enough Rosen Lied but then I see more. I do need a WC girl for my Benjamen. I want an amazing one though so will wait patiently. Oh, another thing, my DerekJ Sage boy is now a girl with a new limited outfit. He/She looks great. I feel bad to do that but I needed another girl as I have so many dresses that are pretty. Benjamen can't be changed because the body is not right for a girl, lucky for him. I want a new outfit for him but one of those last Rollingpumpkin boy WC outfits I missed. Up on time to buy, but they sold in a flash. I am still unhappy about that as he is getting tired with his default limited outfit.

 

Yesterday, i have lost my Daisy on YJ (more thant 90 000 yens @_@)

And today, there is a Bin at 70 000 ! so i have won Daisy LE (winter...) !

Sooooooooooooooo Happy ! i have my daisy for my trip ^_____________^

 

Tomorrow it will be 45 days of waiting for Flora. I guess/hope, they'll ship her soon.

How difficult it is to get The One girls or boys? Have you seen them? I like so many but I guess it's impossible to be able to get them.

Be-life: It is extremely hard to get one of the "One" dolls because there is only one of each, and many trying! If you have super quick fingers and a fast internet connection, then you might have a chance. I know a couple of people here have gotten them. I tried the last time they did them, but no success for me. They were all gone before you could hardly see them go on sale. I won't say it's impossible though, but I know I was pretty disappointed in the middle of the night! They so so beautiful to look at though and maybe someday!

Have you gotten a limited before? Getting a couple of highly desired limited dolls is probably good practice for the madness of the "one" releases!

I already posted this on the last thread, but she wanted to make an appearance here and I could use a little Mango this week! Super stressed out! I am the clinical coordinator for a special project/class at work and it starts this week, so I'm going a little crazy this week!

Beautiful dolls, everyone! I'm about ready to order my first doll, but I'm so torn between a Pukifee Ante and Rosen Lied's MC Apple! I'm having a tough time finding any good owner pics of Apple, and I'd like to see some different angles so I can get a better feel for her. I've seen all sizes of Ante in person, so she's got a bit of an edge right now.. Anyway, if anyone could post some good pics of Apple, it would be very appreciated! ^.^

Thank you! Yes, I have gotten limited dolls before, but never tried for The One. This time there are several I like, but I'll have to choose one and try. I know I won't get her, but I'll try anyway. Limited are relatively easier. I want a basic Lemon so if I don't get the doll I want, maybe I'll buy Lemon

storywriter: Here is an old comparison picture I have when I had MC Apple and white PKF Ante. Hope this helps. They are so different. If you are looking for a more realistic doll then MC is good. If you want an elf like doll PKF is perfect. I have both and love them.

 

Why did I have to look at this thread? I had never seen Rosenlied dolls before but boy are they stunning... o.O

Man, with some of these crazy high prices on Yahoo J, it almost makes me wish I could sell on there! If I was really short on cash and needed to sell one of my dolls, it sounds like I would have a lot more success over there!

 

Thanks so much Ocean-Girl! Your Apple is beautiful. And I love how you posed her with a real apple! It took me a second to get it but then I chuckled.. And Oliveoil, the comparison pic was exactly what I needed, thank yooou How does Rosen Lied compare to Fairyland as far as resin texture/quality and posability? Looks like Apple's knees are single jointed, but I can't really tell..

storywriter: I am glad it was helpful. It is hard to compare FL to RL. They are both very nice quality dolls. FL poses better (no doll poses as good as FL), but RL pose nicely and I like the resin better. I think I prefer the white resin on RL. Here is a new Monday Lemon.

Heartstrings : Oh yes, that's why I like about their head sculpts. Clover can be so versatile! Check out on their limited versions, you will see how many different looks they have made on their dolls ^^

Chastity - yay for flora shipping! Can't wait to see pics! I love her too!

Storywriter - I also have a pkf luna and mc mango and lemon. I love them both for different reasons. Love my new little mango for her adorable face and overall look. I do feel more limited with the posing of MC. The resin is nice and quality, but honestly, in terms of body and posing alone, I love the pkf. They have great engineering in all of their dolls and they are quite posable. I think it really depends what you want to do with it and where your priorities are with your dolls.

Oliveoil: That's a wonderful basic face up. Especially in combination with her wig she looks like such a lovely romantic girl.

 

Chastity : WOW~ A Flora ! Can't wait to see some photos! To me Flora is the grown up Clover (am I the only one feeling that way?)

Oliveoil : But even with that default face up, she look different from the promo picture! Did you use 12mm eyes? She looks fierce with smaller eyes. The default 14mm eyes make her look kinda soft. I ordered her blank, and my first look on her was like "Oh, that's a boy!"

in2themystik2: Which limited did you get? I like their limited versions! Especially that Clover boy! Have they ever released a closed eye Clover before? I would die to get a tan or close eye Clover!

 

Chastity: Thank you! She does have a very old fashion romantic look about her. No matter what she wears. Congrats on Flora. I can't wait to see her.

golgy_body: Yes she does look different than promo. I am very happy with her. I use 12mm and don't see the fierce look. It could be the color. Since this photo she has changed her look.

I used 14mm because the 12mm eyes I have make my Lancelot look like a boy~ Maybe that's just the type of eyes I used (Kanis Augen eyes have really small iris)

Okay, I havent' received my Flora yet. They sent her last Friday; should I be concerned? Rosenlied didn't give me a tracking code, so I have no idea where she is right now.

 

Look on them page online and you know about the tracking.

 

I found it. Thank you, aishiteru! They sent her to Australia!!! That's the second time this happens to me and it happened to my sister, too.

I'm still concerned, because the last status update is from Sunday. Where is my doll?? I just contacted Rosenlied. I hope they can help me. It seems as if she arrived in Sydney on Sunday and they kept her at the post office since that! What the hell??

Yes. I'll do. I just don't understand why they kept her, instead of sending her back immediately.

 

Phone to the custom of your country. It is often in France they hold your package for nothing.

 

Small update: I went to the tracking site of the Austrian post and dialed the number which I found there. After waiting about six or seven minutes an incredibly friendly employee picked up and informed me that the Australian post obviously noticed the mistake, because today they prepared my parcel to be shipped to Austria tomorrow. I asked him why they kept it so long and he couldn't explain why.

This morning I already contacted Rosenlied, because I haven't received Flora yet and I asked for the EMS number. I guess, Rosenlied contacted the post office and that's why they shipped her back today.

The post office clerk also pointed out that the Korean post office made the mistake (and not Rosenlied. I was from beginning on sure that it's not Rosenlied's fault - they are awesome, as far as I know). He also told me that I will not receive her before Tuesday. But that's okay.

Edit: aishiteru: As for me, the problem is that they always mix up Austria with Australia.

 

Chastity, that is crazy. I would in the future when you order from any of these countries point out you are NOT in Australia but in Austria. They have probably never even heard of Austria. We know of it so well because of The Sound of Music, such a great movie. I hope she arrives very soon. This would really annoy me as I want things instantly after they have shipped.

 

Just read your update. Glad to hear it is straightened out. I can see how this happens, the names are very similar but the location is very far.

 

I will mix austria and australia too. I understand it is so easy to mix with my poor english. Lol

And i mix too, cause in French we writte "australie" and Autriche. So not the same ! But my english is really poor >_<
