Gauge: 7 sts/inch - Matching this gauge is critical for the hat to fit.
8.5 rows/inch
Needles: U.S. size 4 (3.5 mm)

Note: This hat took less than 1 skein of Jojoland's Melody superwash sock yarn.

Cast on 98 sts. Work stockinette stitch for 5 inches.
Decrease row: K1, (k6, slip 1, k1, PSSO)* repeat to last st, k1. Purl 1 row.
Decrease row: K1, (k5, slip 1, k1, PSSO)* repeat to last st, k1. Purl 1 row.
Decrease row: K1, (k4, slip 1, k1, PSSO)* repeat to last st, k1. Purl 1 row.
Decrease row: K1, (k3, slip 1, k1, PSSO)* repeat to last st, k1. Purl 1 row.
Decrease row: K1, (k2, slip 1, k1, PSSO)* repeat to last st, k1. Purl 1 row.
Decrease row: K1, (k1, slip 1, k1, PSSO)* repeat to last st, k1. Purl 1 row.

The brim will naturally curl up and is adjustable for more or less roll.
