Hey all! I have been printing and building the Robotica Open Source BJD! I'm enjoying it a lot; I thought I should make a journal entry to document progress!! I never expected it to be so satisfying Here is the original: I think she is beautiful, but I went with all grey because I want her to be a bit less human. Here is the first attempt in the slicer: And here is the result: The top of the head (not shown) ended up cracking while it cured, so it is being reprinted. So I am pretty enamored with her already- the resin has a beautiful sheen in person. But!! Spoiler alert: I end up loving her way more once the torso is printed; she looks so much more alive! Here is a picture of the torso and arms after printing! And the result so far: I mean WOW, I am in love. She has 10 mm eyes in right now, but the wells are too small- I have ordered some that will fit her much better. I have a lot to learn but I am so enjoying this process! Thanks for reading and I will update soon
I should add: I do plan to do post processing & painting on her! so far though, I just have the parts and am partially assembling them because it is so exciting lol! I will get sealant in the mail soon I hope!
This is a lovely sculpt, please share more pics as you go along! I think the grey is a nice color choice, I definitely agree with you!
