I was wondering the same thing, I just placed my order for the MSD Wei Wuxian 2 days ago when he was released. And I was told to expect it to be something like 6 months, but I was wondering. Do they mean 6 months after the pre-order closes in 4 months time, so closer to 10 months? Or just 6 months after your order??

I placed my order for the 1/4 Wei Wuxian on his birthday, too. I bet we will get LAN Zhan going on sale on his birthday in January so I’m gonna have to save up. I can’t wait for my little guy.

 

I just contacted Alice , she said it varies between 1 to 8 months

What did you think of the preview of Lan Zhan on the photo in the photo stack on the Ringdoll IG?
Was it just me or does his wig look a bit big/poofy on him?! He looks so moody about it too, lol! I'm sure he'll be great in the end because all their dolls are so pretty, but I did not think that was the best photo of him, I hope we get to see more soon!

@-Anvanya- actually all I could think was “YES!!!” Because LAN Wangji is my favorite. But now that I look more closely, you’re right. His wig does look a bit poofy. Let’s hope it was just the angle and that it doesn’t really look like that in real life.

Hahah! I totally understand! When I first saw him I was fangirling about it too, lol!
But when I looked again I went, "huh.."
I did noticed though, their wigs are pretty low on their heads, so giving their face a bit more space might already help balance it out too. And maybe the angle like you said!
And I'm not complaining, I'm sure he will be amazing. But I am extra curious to see more now!!

How did you order and through who? The order should've been started shortly after your order, if I'm not mistaken.

I ordered Ramsesses II from Ringdoll through Alice and they said they didn't have him in stock. So they'd need to make one, clothes and all.

I had a 6th month layaway, paid it off 3 weeks early and Alice said it was ready when I emailed them.

So your body should be at least half way there? Minus time for holidays and weekends.

 

i ordered it straight from ringdoll's website because they had a special sale going on. you're right though it could at least be in production. i've never ordered from them before but i know that their waiting times vary from item to item and how swamped they get

I know when I ordered from them in early 2020, they took about 9 months and some days as just a body with make-up.

And because of the pandemic. Can't forget that.

my anubis 1/4 just shipped, im surprised it's done already since its a tan fullset. it only took about 4 months total but im so happy its here in time for christmas

someone recently received bast and anubis in tan and light tan, the difference is actually not much, i think tan is a bit more orange/brown and light tan is a bit more ashy/pink if that makes sense (i havent figured out how to upload images yet ) they have the images in ring grown thread. also i found a comparison video on ringdoll's instagram from last year, it looks like a bigger difference there tho

 

My Bi Luo Chun arrived! I think she's super cute and I'm in love. She came with cool playing cards and a pair of ears and tail?? Or shawl? Don't quite know what it is lol

Hello, i just ordered Menghe fullset !! He was on my wishlist for years I wondered how long will it take for him to arrive.

 

Oh I just can’t help it! I’m excited to get my Frankenstein. Has anyone heard an update at all?

 

I have a situation here.
I ordered two dolls at 6th of February from Dollegend - Fullset Zhang Jiao (with just extra demon hands) and basic Alpha doll with mask.
Also I ordered two dolls at 4th of June but directly from Ringdoll - Frankenshtein (Fullset with 2 heads ) and 1\4 Anubis (fullset with all ehtra parts)
So I received my Anubis a month ago and Frankenshtein just been shipped.
And there're no information about my dolls from dollegent It' been almost a year sinse I ordered my dolls here

 

@tamara-ishihara I ordered an Alpha body in late January (through Alice's Collections) and received it in August.

I would suggest contacting Doll Legend and asking for an update. The wait time seems too long, especially as you've already received items you ordered direct from Ringdoll months later.

Unfortunately, those dealer orders are outside of the 6 month Paypal protection window (if you used Paypal as your payment method). If in the worst case scenario Doll Legend doesn't respond, you may be able to make a claim with your bank or credit card company, but this varies between countries and companies.

From personal experience, the best success I've had with late orders is to contact the dealer/dollmaker and asking for an estimated time by which the order will be ready, then following that up if you have no addition news by that time. Firm, friendly, persistent messages have the most success for me.
I hope you get an update on your order soon!

My mori9 Frankenstein got here a few days ago and I am pretty disappointed in him. (Also, for those who don't know, Mori9 doesnt paint the head. She just did the make design for it. RD doesn't really disclose that very well IMO. Not that it bothers me.)

It feels like they used to thick of wire in him compared to my other dolls and I hate the upper thigh joint so much.

First of all, they packed and shipped him with out the metal part above his collar bone. It was clearly meant to have been attached at some point because there is glue and a mark in there. But even in all his packing he was sent with out. Meaning it must have fell off in their work shop. I looked in the plastic slip back the dolls come in and it wasnt there or in any other source of bubble wrap. And it also has caused a chip in the blushing. And its in such a clear and obvious area. The other part that attached with the tubbing wasn't glued in. I thought that was weird. But it holds well with puddy. But I do wish they glued that in.

The lower spine is very lose in the back. I had to use putty to hold it in place, but this is a problem because the channel in the spine is fully painted. And having putty can damage and rip out the paint when you take it off. The lower jaw is very secure. I don't know why they didn't consider an extra magnet hidden in the brain to keep the face plate more stable.

The head swivel is just a single magnet. So if you tip the doll even slightly the upper face plate isn't secure, if your doll falls over expect that face plate to go flighting. You also cant really position the eyes in the skull and they will wiggle around if you don't use putty. But they painted the inside of the scull sockets for some reason. So if you have to remove the eyes putty expect the make up in there to also be damaged. Luckily its just eye sockets of the skull.

My other issue is his nail crown/hallo thing. The top part goes into grooves in the parts that have the magnets to attach to the rest. One side it fits nice and snug, no problem. The other side is very loose and it doesn't ever want to stay in.

There is also a bunch of random scratches and tiny marks on the dolls. Honestly, I don't know how Ring Doll dropped the ball so hard on the quality of this doll. I have other dolls I ordered from them and never had issues. Honestly I don't know if I will ever buy from RD again after this. Spending over a grand and having all these quality control issues is such a let down because RD is only of my fav companies.

While I was putting him together he fell and smashed his shoulder armer but that is on me not RD :C

Some good things to lighten the mood I guess: The painting on the robot parts is very nice. It almost feels like they were casted that way. They also give you some white anti-stain shorts to wear under his black shorts. As ring doll clothes are VERY good at staining. And the face up, painting on the skull and brain are very good. The painting on the top part of the face plate is very nice. There is a subtle redness to it. I was told I wouldn't be able to get the transparent head casting but turns out I got one.

 

He's here! I'm glad mine wasn't missing any parts. His lower spine is quite loose when the transparent torso is in place, but I didn't have trouble with the normal torso. As to the eye sockets, I put the eye putty inside the skull to hold the stems in place where it wasn't going to touch anything faceupped. I couldn't get a side glance out of him given how tightly the eyes and face fit.

He's still magical.

 

After Ring Doll was ghosting my dealer for a few days I had to prod them self to reply. They will send the replacement collar bone part and let me buy a new shoulder armor piece but was told it could take 2-3 months. I guess its a given being lunar new year is next month.

 

I’m so sorry that your smexy guy is giving you so much grief. I found I had to seal the metal limbs to keep the paint from transferring to his other parts. I also noticed the eye well issue. I sealed his faceup just in case.

 

the rgm-07 body i ordered back in october got to me yesterday!!! i'm so happy with the body and it's posability.
it's sucha beautiful body. i put my petitsoiree ain head on it and the resin matches well if anyone's curious

i had to redo his faceup! cuz he was on an older body that i had. it was blushed to death to match the old body
i spent hours today blushing the body, wiping the old faceup, then doing the faceup on the same day haha

i love ringdoll's service omg.. this is the first time i bought from them, i didn't know the body would come wired!! it was such a nice surprise haha

 

Just got my shipping notice from Alice to let me know my Frankenstein is on the way! I was hoping it would be soon.

 

the joint rubbing is expected. He has kips in some joints. I don't have stuff to seal the face but oh well.

If anyone has any tips for getting things for these guys that actually fit them, that would be super helpful. Because I haven't found a lot in their size yet.. I want to get them modern outfits and also a more casual wig for modern Lan Zhan.
But their sizes are so different from any doll I have, I haven't had a lot of luck finding what I am looking for so far.

 

I would have already placed my order but the 5% coupon Ringdoll provided me isn’t working I want to order my LAN Wangji!!!
