Ringdoll Norman Light v.2 Unboxing/Arrival! (+pics 2pg)

    1. This BJD is my very first! I ordered him back in October, and finished paying in December. I finally got him three days ago on February 11! I absolutely love this doll so much, and I'm so happy that I own such a piece of art. He'll be my only doll for a while, but I'm happy with that.

      I ordered him as a fullset with default face-up. :-)

      These photos are from the actual unboxing, during the time I did not take much photos.

      My dog has been getting a Barkbox in the mail for about 4 months, but much to her disappointment, this was not a gigantic Barkbox.

    6. My gosh, his face-up is so subtle and wonderful!! It's not often you see such lovely realistic blushing on company default face-ups! Is that a bit of subtle veining I see at his temple? Stunning!!

      No problem! I myself haven't seen many unboxings of Norman, but I still loved the company photos.

      I am so amazed with the face up, I didn't think it would be as realistic as it is, but that's what I wanted anyway! And yes, you are correct! He's got some subtle veins. ^_^

      Thank you! The default face-up is beautiful, but I love the sculpt just as much. I would definitely get another head to do my own face-up.

      I am kind of thinking that the RGMBody-4 would have looked better with it but the RGMBody-3 looks very good as well. Just the shoulders are quite broad for his head, haha. But it's all good. ^_^

    15. Ooooh, so looking for mine too ! Ringdoll has really made tremendous progress in faceup et face sculpting. I had a Sol, 3 years ago, and the faceup was quite a joke :

      I agree with the previous comment, their new faceups are ridiculously amazing! :D I love how they're focusing on all those small details (when it comes to gifts) look at the stickers and the comb!

      I hope you have fun with him! Since he is your first doll, have you seen other BJDs before getting him? If not, how did you react to the size? Haha, let me know!

    19. Congratulations! An excellent choice for your first BJD. Norman appears to have settled in well. I see he is talented. :) Ringdoll has done an admirable job with his default face up. I like the soft, natural-looking colour palette they used. Very realistic. I think he has a versatile sculpt and skin tone.

      The information cards are an excellent idea. I think all BJD doll manufacturers should include such cards with their dolls. Very helpful for newbies. Would it be possible to see photographs of the cards that explain how to install the eyes, please? I very much need to know how to do this correctly. The instructions and photos look very easy to follow.

      I wish you many hours of fun with Norman! Thank you for sharing his arrival with us. It has been a pleasure to meet him.

      tharlenne Thanks! I've not seen any BJDS in real life before, but only online. I expected him to be tall according to the measurements, but I didn't expect him to weigh so much! Hahaha, he probably doesn't weigh as much as my dogs, but similar feeling when holding them in one arm too long >< But I love the height of the 70 cm dolls, they look nice sitting around in my living room ♡

    28. Ha, ha I was about to say their faceup artist got much better. I have modified my (2013) Sol's faceups (I have twins). The eyebrows are the most obvious improvement. Maybe I'll work on those as the rest of the faceup is adequate.

      Your Norman is gorgeous!

    31. I hope these photos are okay! These are just to show there is a slight different in face tone and body tone, but who's face is the same colour as their body anyways? I actually like the redness in his face. :-)

      *Also, one of my fluorescent lights emits a yellow tone . My room is yellow-wooden colour, so it may influence the tone of the photo*

      [MENTION=40224]tiffanykou[/MENTION] The skintone is NS. He is really paler than what I think NS would be like, but I assume most of Asia has the preference of beauty white skin, it's a long history of the wealthy vs poor.
      His face is more pink than his body because of the face-up.
