66cm+ Dolls Ringdoll Kim Fullset

Welcome to the unboxing of my first BJD!

Ringdoll had a Black Friday sale for which multiple dolls were in stock and ready to ship. I've been eyeing their dolls for a while, so you can imagine my delight when they had the exact doll I wanted in stock as part of the sale.

The box arrived within 4 days.

Very fancy ^^.

Here's everything that was included:


I saw this and immediately went: "Uh oh, I hope I don't have to put the lashes on myself"


Onto the main event: Kim in normal skin.


My first thought was: "Wow he's heavy!"
I'm used to Dollfie Dreams and they're much, much lighter.

Unwrapping time!

I was shaking the whole time, because I was afraid of damaging him. I also forgot to take pictures for a while. Plus, I noticed he had a shiny circle on both of his shoulders. At first I thought he got scuffed a bit during shipping, but it's on both of his shoulders so I'm not sure (?). Luckily it gets covered up by his clothes, so I don't mind it too much.

And here we have his gorgeous face. I breathed a sigh of relief when I saw that he does, indeed, come with his lashes already attached.


Ok so, Dollfie Dreams come with their eyes already fixed in place. This was the first time I had to put in eyes myself. In order to do that I needed to take off the head first. Since this was my first strung doll I don't know if this one was just strung particularly tight or what, but I had to pull really hard on the hook and I found it really difficult (and again, was afraid of breaking him). I managed to do it in the end, but needless to say, it took a long time haha. I still think both eye positions aren't perfectly symmetrical, but this'll have to do.

Then I tried to dress him up which was also a challenge, because he is so big and heavy. Here he is chilling on my bed afterwards:

The wig he came with is a bit longer than the one pictured in the promotional images, but other than that he looks exactly like he does in those. I adore his face and face-up; I think they're even better in person. I'm glad to have the privilege of owning this doll.

YES, it's a good thing he came here so fast because I'm so impatient haha. You were right the face ups are (more) amazing in person. I hope my display cabinet can hold him, since he is so heavy. I'm currently experimenting with the colour of the lighting. He looks great in red and cyan light.

Thank you! And same here. I was really used to seeing full-sets with pretty elaborate and/or traditional outfits, so when I first saw this outfit I was like . The more I looked at it the more I started to love it and it looks great in person too.
