66cm+ Dolls Ringdoll Ashford EVO unboxing

Hello! There I was again, this time with my second BJD.

Since I liked the first one so much and am a sucker for sales, I decided to also order the other Ringdoll I had my eye on: Ashford EVO. Seems like I was right on time, since they removed him from the site a couple of days later (at least the full-set.) I ordered his full-set plus an extra outfit, hands and some accessories.

Here it all is. It's amazing they managed to fit everything in there.


Look at this precious mummy. They even gave me a Christmas card.

A close up of his face. I really like the white accents in his make-up. Also those ears.

And then there were eyes.

He came with a long wig, but I prefer it short so I cut it.


Here is a picture of his body. He's a RGM-3 in normal. It looks quite different form the RGM-4 my Kim has.

When putting on his extra outfit I took note of the belt. It looks really good and I like it a lot.

Here he is in my display cabinet. Such a king.

His face is just as beautiful as in the pictures. Like I mentioned before I adore the white accents, especially those in his lashes. They really compliment the eyes, which are just the perfect colour. His outfits are also really cool; they definitely give him a presence. The only downside is that he's difficult to pose and that his head gets pulled to the right constantly. I don't know why this happens exactly.

Since the price of my order exceeded a certain threshold, they gave me this head for free!

It's the head that's used for Ksitigarbha--the Virgo in normal skin. I'm satisfied with this head; the sculpt is gorgeous. Too bad I don't have any artistic talent. I wouldn't be able to do a face-up for the life of me so I don't know what I'm going to do with him yet.

Thank you! Yes, Ashford's sculpt is great. Any ideas about what you want to do for his face-up? I agree I'm very lucky to get such a pretty head for free. After looking at the company pictures some more, I think he's actually my favorite sculpt after Kim and Ashford ^^.
