Ring Doll Teens

I wanna know what size eyes the Ringdoll teens use. They don't say what size they are in the descriptions.

By the way: Shao and Pan are my favorite Ringdoll teens ~

 

I'm wish to see their photos too! Are somebody here has these boys?

 

I will have them at the end of the summer >3 I'm so excited to save up for them!

 

You might want to check out some of the threads in the BJD-opedia Picture Request section. I'm pretty sure I saw a Ringdoll thread showing their posing abilities (it might have been a Ringdoll mini though). I am excited though as I will definitely be acquiring one of their mechanical arms! XD

 

The Ringdolls in general are highly poseable. Most of it is in their arms and legs; They have some weird double jointing that takes a bit of getting used to, but is well-engineered. You pull the joint out of the upper limb, and then manipulate the lower limb into place. The joint has a thin resin "pocket" that helps hide the gapping between the two limbs. It sounds complicated, but it's easy to figure out. It makes them very stable. I had a little difficulty getting the Ringdoll Teen to stand when I played with him; He was on a smooth surface and barefoot, however. Once I got him standing, I could move his arms, head, and torso around without throwing him off balance.The smaller Ringdoll Kid stood like a rock in platform boots. There was no kicking or snappiness from either, and I believe that they were factory strung.

The jointing in the Ringdoll Teen torso does limit his movement; It didn't seem like he could really lean back or forward very effectively. But he can twist on that joint very naturally, and is stable when twisted to the side.

Their resin is really smooth, almost ivory-like, with very little texture to it. It has an unusual translucence that's really appealing. If you end up buying a RD on the secondary market, however, I would recommend buying one that's in the new skin "natural"; I saw the oldskin "yellow normal" and while it is certainly yellow, I'd personally have a hard time calling it normal.

I don't own a RD, btw, I just had a good opportunity to play with one.

I have been looking at the Ring teens for a while and for a BL and J rock freak like me they are perfect to create a cute J rock couple with. And they`re body is just

Don just have the cutest face ever. And Don`s little teeth and cute smily mouth also drives me crazy haha Oh why does it have to be so long before I can order Don and Ran style b I have to order Dolmore suntan Paran kid girl and Dahlia first because they have been on my wish list for so long.

 

Um actually I was saving up for a Lusion Doll Dahlia but my heart tells me I should save up for either DM Kid Suntan Paran Girl or Rindoll Don. So I am saving up for my next doll now, and I might just end up with getting Ringdoll Don first. I just can`t resist that slim body of his and his cute smile

To to bad I have to buy my self new glasses first or I would have had the money for my new doll right now

I just added 1 more Ringdoll to my wishlist. Ring kid Dylan type B. I know he is not a Ringteen, but seriously I have gotten so addicted to they`re dolls. First I`m gonna get Don, then Ran style B and then Dylan type B. Man these dolls are amazing. I just can`t say it enough, I just love the Ringdoll body

Something just happened... I was sertain I would order a Ringdoll teen. But just realized how much more I would like to have a more realistic Oshare kei bjd boy. That`s why I ordered a Alice in Labyrinth - Ail Elijah head. He will be my new J rock/ Oshare kei inspired dollie boy now. So I have decided to put the Ring dolls of my wishlist. It just went that way. No Ring Dolls for meh><///

dearmrsin was banned a little over a week ago, it can be difficult to understand DoA's rules when you are not fluent in English.

For now, MoC will make announcements for RingDoll on DoA.

Yep, all the ringdoll reps get banned and I can give a little light as to why. Ringdoll actually asked me to be a rep forthem, I declined, I love the dolls and think the quality is wonderful, however the company encourages their reps to spam, a lot. If they make 3K in sales each month they get a 20% discount, this does not mean for their dolls, this means that when they sell a doll on behalf of the company the company receives 80% of that price, and the rep gets 20%, hence how they earn an income. #K is only about 7 dolls a month, however, that is a lot considering the Ringdoll share in the market. The reps are encouraged to meet this quota by taking on more reps and by spamming the hell out of forums and past customers. Basically the company encourages practices that are annoying and against the rules.

That is my personal experience of how they work anyway.

That said the dolls are really wonderful and I LOVE them. I have a WS Ran and a realskin RT2 body with my Lu Wen head on it. The RS matches Delf NS and the WS matches Delf WS rather nicely, so hybriding is great, they are SOLID posers, and hold really beautiful poses, the knees are my favourites of any dolls I own. My only sadness is that the hands are not my favourite, and the translucency of the resin shows on them. I dealt directly with the company and not a distributer or dealer (none of them carried the RT2 body at the time) and found their customer service to be excellent and the company very helpful with fast shipping and excellent communication. I don't think I will get more dolls from them, cos I don't NEED more of this type of sculpting, but I DO recommend them to anyone who listens *laughs* I love them

 

That may have been true in '09, but we, (Mint on Card), negotiated a contract with them in January and no such thing was even mentioned to us. We were not encouraged to spam in any way. We would not be working with RingDoll if any of what was said in the previous post was told to us.

No need to apologize. I don't know what RingDoll's policies were prior to January, I just wanted to make it clear that we were not approached by RingDoll with such a policy. I know that they fired a couple of Reps in January, and have re-organized, so the way they attempt to pick up dealers may have changed over the past few months.

All I could ever find on here was about ringdoll msd's XD Pan is my favorite, I was so close to buying one, but I opted out at the end ;_; but I'll probably have one in the future ;D I love their slim bodies, and their outfits are amazing.
Most of all though, I love their eyes and that MECHANICAL ARM X3 I lovvvee that thing haha. I want one so badly X3

This new body is really something else, I totally can see myself getting the larger RingDoll Teen, like Marcus or Pan, but that will be a long time off until I find work.

I ordered Ringdoll Pan Style B So I guess I came to
the right place. I ordered him in March
and he came 25 days later. I was like, wow!

I didn't think dolls came that fast. He's my first ever BJD
so I'm still trying to get used to the joints a bit. @@
But those pictures are great reference.

His waist joint is hard to move though, is that normal?



A paid for a Face-up but I guess
It didn't make it to the invoice.(he didn't come with one)

But they were a very nice company to order from!
They were helpful and refunded my transaction money
from the face-up they forgot!
I sent his head over to Alishia and I can't wait

AnnoDomini- Tasha Neko is doing the faceup for your Pan?? You have got to post a picture of him when he gets back! I love her faceups, I got a EL second hand that was painted by her and he ain't going no where! She is just wonderful!

If I did not have enough males already I would get Pan, he is just darling and I love their new body and hands for them!

 

I love Markus, and that mechanical arm he has, but I have too many men and not enough women here.....hope someone gets him!

I love love love the uniforms on the new fullsets I was so glad they were selling them seperately....then I remembered how thin the Ringdoll teens are and I wanted Shao's uniform for my DZ Cosmo No way would it fit him.
I like the crazy concept though, I'm particularly keen on Ashford and his unusual looks.

 

It seems those uniform is a little small for SD13 from Volks

I've been waiting what seems like forever (and is actually more like 6 months) for Ringdoll to release their female Teen body! I really like Don's sculpt but can't see him as anything but a girl! Maybe we should all send requests to see every single one of their lovely heads on a girl body~!

That's a whole lot better than paying $20-$30 more or arranging by chance trades.

Also, Ringdolll now has the 1/3 girl body on their website. These pictures seem a bit bigger than the ones on Mint on Card, and since they load up all at full size rather than as thumbnails, it's a bit easier to look through.

Most importantly, you can see the lovely details they pained into the teeth on Spencer. OMG it looks so good. I wish they hadn't disguised the head so much.

 

I am SOOO happy to see they now have a girls body posted after eyeing the boys for so long. She is just so pretty and delicate!! Definitely at the top of my want list right now.

Ringdoll's quality is quite good, in my opinion. I've purchased doll parts from four different companies by now and Ringdoll's resin is my favorite to touch. The sculpting is lovely. The customer service is wonderful. They're very nice.

Pan's face is a touch difficult to give a face-up, due to his distinctive facial features. But if you have experience giving dolls face-ups (I really don't), it probably won't be a problem. xD

 

Ringdoll's resin is so smooth like my HZ boy's resin is smooth too, no seam lines any where, and my Dylan does have a very light scent I can smell. Like oranges, but that's just me. I would consider Spencer for a certain doll character for my boy.

 

I might be in the wrong spot here, (if so, please forgive me, its such a big forum to try to get used to!) But the new female body (Wagashi specifically), she is listed as being 59cm tall, does this make her quite tall in comparison to most other large dolls? Most of the other girls I've seen are more like 58cm, and I don't want her to dwarf any future guys that I get. I don't think 1cm will make too much difference, but you never know...

 

Commonfish - you might want to make a photo request thread for the Ringdoll girls next to other dolls (specifically the dolls you're thinking of buying in the future).

I know that my Ringdoll teen boy is so thin and long-limbed that he looks like a much taller doll than he actually is. He's 63cm according to the site, but people assume he's a 70cm doll based on his long and lanky limbs. So sometimes it's not so much about actual height as it is proportions.

 

I've looked everywhere for this, but can't find anything - what size eyes do the Ringdoll SD dolls take? Shao in particular; I just ordered him, and it would be nice to know what size eyes to have waiting for him when he gets here haha

 

Ah thanks for the info The Duchess, I will try to see if someone can post a photo of her by future planned dolls. The bit about the proportions really helps too, I hadn't really thought of that.

 

It is nice to hear that I most likely won't have to sand the seams, since when I order my boy, it will be my first. As it is, I'm going to have an adventure in body blushing, since I like how it makes them look complete. I'm really happy that there is this thread to help people get a good idea of this brand.

@exuver: I think Shao takes 14mm. I ordered Don and on a few sites it said he takes 14mm, so I would think Shao would use about the same size

 

@domino_party; oh that's awesome! I went ahead and ordered some 14mm's just for the heck of it XD If they don't fit, I can always put them on my Luka. I emailed Ringdoll about the eye size and wig size just to 100% confirm everything (lol). I will report back later
