Wearables Ribbon belt

Aug 11, 2021

    1. A week ago I finally ordered my first doll! :XD: So now I´m trying to make something for her. I wanted to start with something simple, so I made these "belts." Essentially it´s just a piece of ribbon with beads that I plan to tie with a bow at the back of the doll.
However, I don´t know whether is it a good idea. I don´t have a doll yet so I can´t really imagine how would it look like on her. What do you think? Will it work?
I would also like to ask you - is it ok? It´s the first time I´m sewing with beads, so please, kindly pinpoint all of my shortcomings. :aheartbea (And yes, I still haven´t washed the blue one, so there are my marks left.)
      Thank you very very much!

    2. Sorry, maybe you can´t see pictures :atremblin But I don´t know how to repair it...:(

    3. You're not linking to your picture image files. It looks like the links go to google.com pages the photos are embedded in. You need links that end in .jpg or .jpeg or .png.

    4. Thank you, but I can't repair it. I tried to share it through Google disk, but it isn't working no matter what I try
      .
Edit: thank you! It helped me and now I think everyone is able to see it!

    6. Ooh, those look pretty. I don’t really work with beads, but your lines look really neat. Not messy. The only thing I can think of is doing something to the end of the ribbons. You’ve got them cut flat across which will shred. Maybe sear it with a lighter for polyester ribbon (test on scrap first!) or notch the ends, either in a fork or diagonally to slow the wear down? Some of the older books with the nonremovable ribbon bookmarks do that. It looks a little neater than simply tying it in a knot. I bet that depending on ribbon width and scale, it would make a good headband too.

    7. Yay! I'm so glad you can see it :XD:

Thank you! I'll definitely do something with that. I'm grateful for your suggestions and I'm going to try it right away :love

    9. I think they're looking good! I agree, do something to preserve the ends!

    10. Thank you, I'm not sure if it's going to work because I can't test it yet. And those pictures you can't see are my previous tries to upload them :sweat
