40–49cm Dolls Resinsoul Ya in Dark Tan!

    1. So I'm a week and a half late with this one, she actually arrived on June 27th! But I really wanted to just take time to enjoy her. I'd been wanting a Ya for ages (sold my light tan Mei more than 10 years ago, shortly before Ya was released actually lmao) and she was in stock at DDE right when I needed her most. I've never seen RS's dark tan in person before, it's such a lovely shade! She's already best buds with my other new arrival, thick as thieves!

      Standard BBB box as typical from Denverdoll orders, but I was surprised at how small it was compared to the dragon body boxes!

      What wasn't typical was this white sporty mesh bag! I was shocked to not see the standard gold satin bag, lol, not that I'm complaining because this one is much less likely to slip out of my hands entirely due to the texture, lol.

      Her faceup is beautiful but the sealant is a bit cloudy, kinda makes her look almost ashy. Any recommendations, or should I learn to live with it unless I want to wipe her, lol?

      These brown acrylics looked beautiful in direct light, with no wig, but all together they didn't catch any light at all, bummer. Oh well, time for a swap!

      her leg elastic wasn't knotted very tightly, it started coming loose after I got her head back on to test out another pair of eyes...

      I don't mind that the Mei body is single-jointed, she looks so cute with the hand behind her ear pose I pretty much have her do that whenever I take her picture :lol:

      She just looks so happy, I'm really glad I got her. She was the perfect pick-me-up after a terrible news week!! I decided to name her Alannah. I didn't have a name planned, but it came to mind as I was restringing her and it really fits her I think. <3

    5. Congrats! Her face is so sweet! I love her skintone. Such a gorgeous brown. I have a yi body in dark tan and it is...somehow a dark reddish purple. Its weird. I'm glad to see yours in a proper color. Looks like she poses really well too. Her watermellon shirt suits her really well.

    7. She's very pretty! (And yay for a Bluefairy boy!)

      They probably used MSC for her faceup, or something else that "clouds" on dark resin. Volks Zukimoura (sp?) is about the only sealant I used that didn't do that. Hopefully the clouding won't be really noticeable now that she's fully accessorized and ready. (Kudos on gamely tackling the surprise restringing chore!)

    13. @RoyalRegals thank you, and good luck! I've found her resin to photograph slightly warmer-toned in pictures than it is in IRL, but that doesn't super bother me. It's got a lovely richness to it IRL that doesn't always show up in photos either, so it's a fair trade imo
