(Some minor doll nudity below; also image heavy.) First, my apologies for these just being random phone photos xD;; I'm not much of a photographer, but I haven't found a whole lot of owner photos for this sculpt around yet, so I thought I would post these in case they're of interest to anyone! I ordered an instock Wei with white skin and a faceup from Denver Doll Emporium! This was my first time buying a non-tiny doll, so getting a comparatively big box was kinda exciting :0 DDE included some candies, which was kind of random but nice, I guess! I think her faceup is very cute! ... unfortunately, I don't have any use for it because I only wanted the body and the cat accessories. I plan on using the body for a hybrid and reselling the head, hopefully to a good home! (If you're wondering "why did you get a faceup on a head you don't need," it's because the blank version was out of stock, it was only $10 extra, and I was impatient.) If I had a criticism, she is very!! tightly!! strung!!! She really wants to curl into fetal position, her legs don't even stay straight @_@ I was worried I'd have to restring her, which is a bit intimidating for me as a baby doll collector, but I saw some advice posts on the forums suggesting that you can loosen up your dolls over time by keeping them stretched out in different poses, so I'll probably try that first. I have two questions for anyone: 1. She came with a receipt and some little DenverDoll cards, but no Resinsoul COA; is that normal? Does Resinsoul not provide COAs? Especially since I'm planning on reselling the head, I'd like to have a COA if there is one, but I don't want to bug DDE about something that doesn't exist :P 2. Does anyone have any additional recommended techniques for loosening up your tense dolls? Additionally, if anyone wants specific photos of a certain part of the sculpt, let me know and I'll see what I can do!
Resinsoul did start doing COAs, so I would think that normally she would come with one! Congrats on your new doll though! So very cute!
ahh, that's too bad because I probably will have to ask Denver Doll about it then! but thank you for letting me know!
Congrats on your new arrival. For your question, I ordered my Resinsoul Long through Denver Doll August of 2019, I didn't receive any COA with him either. I didn't think to message DDE about it, since I know he's legit, but also, I plan to keep him. I do still have the receipt they sent with him, maybe you could make a copy for the new owner (when you decide to sell the head), if you can't obtain a COA.
Doesn't DDE use Bobobie for their Resinsoul dolls? It may be that BBB just isn't issuing the certificates like Resinsoul does.
I heard back from Denver Doll, and they confirmed that they don't receive COAs with their RS dolls, so I think I'll just provide the Denver Doll documentation when I get around to selling her head. I'm not too worried about it, as long as I know it wasn't left out by mistake :0 Thank you for the advice! Since this doll was in stock on the DDE website, it was super-fast! I think it shipped the day after I placed my order, and the package arrived in about four days. I think if you ordered something that wasn't in stock it would be a lot slower though :F (Oh also I'm in the US, so that probably made it faster as well)
