Shopping Resinsoul custom options

Six arms?! Never seen that beauty but I want to!

I don't believe there is any proper documentation- a lot of these things are chalked up to asking Sun via email.

I would be interested in asking Sun about what the possible transparent resin colors are-- or a photo of samples of each.

What I know is possible/has been done before:
1) Changing ear shapes on sculpts. Elf > Human (It was a Song iirc) and Lu's Ears to > Human.

2) Exotic Hybrids: Fantasy feet on different bodies. Sun will tell you if a combo doesn't work.

3) Multiple arms: Someone on this forum owns a male Resinsoul doll in green skin, mixed parts from different sculpts, and 4 arms.

4) Transparent Resin: I had a list somewhere of colors I've seen, I'll try to edit this later with that.
Edit- List of transparent colors I have seen: White, Red, a Yellow/Green and Blue transparent resins. Zhen is a 45cm dragon lady who is shown in promo images with blue/yellow-greenish gradient parts. Nian is a 28cm dragon centaur who is shown in promo images with blue/red gradient parts.

I also believe they do custom colours if you give them the pantone number/reference although I haven't done this personally.
They'll also do you a custom faceup if you ask for it and you have reference images, as well as all of the above options that Mutation mentioned.

 

I've also seen people ask for other character's ears on different sculpts of the same size; for example Song with Jun's ears. So it's not just human to elf or elf to human.

 

I've ordered modded chest pieces (one with a bust reduction the other with a slightly smaller neck post) and custom resin colours. They will also mix and match parts to give you what you want, only if those parts work together size wise.

It's just a matter of emailing them your request and they will advise if it's possible. They will even send pictures of your requested combinations, provided that the pieces will work together.

 

They definitely mix parts to make full dolls- I have ordered a Bobobie 60cm boy body with RS Dong head and Gang hands in the past, and also a Xue head on Mi body with high heel feet in a custom jet black resin color. I just sent an email with my requests and about two months later, had my doll! The extra charges for custom work is pretty low too. I think I paid $15 extra for custom black resin.

I asked about a gradient in transparent resin, they don't offer it. The examples you will have seen are painted to look that way. I hope this helps!

I kinda figured that - it's probably transparent resin + blush.

 

I have also seen a Resinsoul custom with two heads that someone had made. It's amazing how flexible they are!

RS are awesome for customs. The 4 armed green boy is mine, his name is Creedence. Cree for short.

I also have a boy in a custom colour with transparent parts. The process of ordering a custom colour is fairly straightforward. I just sent a panatone colour swatch via email accepting there would be a small difference depending on screens etc. If you want or need it to be EXACT you can pick up paint swatches at hardware stores and send that through the physical post.

I've seen them do extra eyes too. Subtractive mods they seem to be fairly happy to do for a little extra to cover their time.

They also seem to be able to put any ears on any other sculpt of the same scale (so all msd ears on all other msd dolls)

You can also get any horns and hands you want. They have quite a few different hand sculpts.

All their msd heads fit on all the other msd bodies too. i have a rong on a yao body, a yao on a tang body, a song on a female body, a li on the shi body, wu on song's body and so on lol.
Also worth noting that the arms and legs of the double jointed body fit the single jointed body just fine, though the two larger bodies (tang/sui and shi/zhen) won't as they're quite a bit chunkier.

and you can get every dang piece a different colour if you so desire lol. Legs blue, body green and arms red? sure thing! hah.

Late on this thread but great info here! I'm going to get resinsoul to match a switch milktea rose head and they said they can do it if I send the headcap in, very cool and much more affordable than a switch body.

 

Wowww, that two-headed doll. I can't believe ResinSoul can just make dolls like this for such a good price. They're all so beautiful, and the custom resin tones look so good.

 

Was looking for a thread like this! I'm looking for more customs they've done because I have a very specific one in mind and I'm glad to know that they'll most likely be able to do it.

 

I have a Merry Round head Olathe who has a neck 9cm so would a Reinsoul body with an 8cm neck work?

I remember somebody has asked Resinsoul to put glitter in the clear/transparent resin and resinsoul said no.
Also something worth noting: They are extreamly flexible with layaways, ive known of people that would pay like 20US$ a month to pay off their doll.

I do remember once asking if they could put the double jointed yosd chest on the Single jointed msd bottom piece and put the yosd centaur hooves on it instead of the normal feet but they said no. Now before anybody judges me, i know its a wierd request lol. But i tried it out myself! Except for the torso not rly fitting togeter it looked nice imo. But oh welp

I just ordered a blue SD girl 'Mi' with 4 arms and a closed eye mod from Resinsoul. She will also have jointed hands and high heel feet. I hope she will look as good as she is in my head! The detail for the pricing was


Mi in blue no faceup $214,
Mi arms in blue $50
The extra cost of modifying the doll's eyes is $60,
Hand-01 in blue $38 x2 =$76,
Foot-02 in blue $10

For a total of 410 USD. Not bad for a heavily modified SD girl! See how fun she's gonna look!

I asked them to drill the arm holes in the back a little bit because I've seen some of their mods with the second set of arms directly under the first one, and I want the second shoulders to be hidden a little bit. Hope they will be able to make her that way.

I was looking at Souldoll Shiva but those are so rare, I'm glad I can get my girl anyway without having to wait for years before a grey Shiva pops up on the market board!

So last year I finally ordered the custom Resinsoul I've been thinking about for a couple years. Originally I was going to get a 1/4 custom but I much prefer 1/3 and once Resinsoul released Cen, it was meant to be.

I ordered Cen in black resin and with Long ears before any owner pics even popped up of him. I also ordered the 1/3 male jointed hands. And I asked about heeled feet for him but was told they don't make male heeled feet. They said I could order the 1/3 heeled feet made for their female body and it would technically fit but just be smaller than the flat feet. Decided to take a chance and order those along with him since I knew my guy was going to wear heels. About a month later Resinsoul quietly added to the Cen page that he was on a new body type. So I emailed to ask if I was getting that new body too and sure enough they said I was!

My price breakdown was as follows;
Cen, blank = $218
Black resin upcharge = $30
Ear mod (Long ears) = $60
Hands 02 in black = $43
Heeled feet 02 in black = $15
Total before ship = $366
Shipping was about $40 total but I ordered with a couple friends. I got the largest item so items were shipped to me and I paid $20 of the shipping.
Total with ship = $386

I ordered a RS Zhen without the transparent parts. I also asked if I could have a custom colour for the body blush. When I ordered her I said ‘gold or a gold like colour’ and she came with the default style of face but all the colouring was a beautiful orange-y gold colour that shimmers under the light. I was absolutely blown away! I have a box opening and doll profile for her if anyone is curious. ^ ^
