So I did blushing with an airbrush (first time doing this, I'm an airbrush n00b) glitter fawn markings on my little girl lol she's supposed to be ice/snow themed ^_^

 

Oh no. I never should have opened this thread. I went in thinking "Ah, taurs, huh? That's kind of cool. I'll just go see what sort of critters there are." And an hour later I suddenly have a bunch of new sculpts on my watch/want list. Aaaaaaahhhhhhhhhh. Why are these things so darn interesting!? I love the look of so many!

 

I just ordered mine a few days ago; I'm so excited! I ordered Spring. I really love the design.

 

You know. I followed this thread like 6 months ago when trying to decide if I wanted one of these little guys. And every time I manage to push them to the back of my mind as a "well probably not" someone posts and so I get an alert and remember all over again that these little ones are very cute and very cheap. X'D

Does anyone know what eye size Resinsoul Winter has?

 

I don't have winter, but I have a Nian and he uses 14mm eyes.

I am currently going through the process of making a box opening thread (/threads/resinsoul-winter-unboxing.789609/)

 

I was really tempted to go for one of these guys when I ordered Mei, they remind me of Disney's Fantasia so much, especially in the more fantastical colours.

 

So I actually got the neutral/normal skin tone because I want to try my hand at dip dying to get a combination of tan and green on the deer parts.

I ordered some leather scraps and skewers to make a bow and arrow and quiver set.

 

So pretty! I love the color of the lilac, I wonder what Nian would look like in that color?

 

Went perusing DenverDoll Emporium with the intent of buying a solid white Resinsoul Summer but I couldn't help but notice they had a lilac and transparent Nian in stock aaaaaaaand...



Oops. Here he is next to Amaranthe, my Winter, (and Fell, my Luts Tiny Delf). I've got a little four-legged family now.

 

Beautiful!!! The Nian has really caught my eye since my son is a huge fan of fantasy dolls.

Centaurs are so great. Want to get Spring later on.
Does any of you have centaur with red transparent parts? I am trying to find some images, as Resinsoul doesn't have them on web.

 

They look so cool together I'm just here to admire the centaurs and whatever it is that Nian is XD. Makes me wonder if I should get a Nian oneday too, I love the way he looks!

 

I Just came in here to look at the cuties and once again was blown away by how gorgeous that Nian is. I reeeaaally should make a character around it and get one.

 

I already know about these little deers since longer time, but now I'm planning to get one for myself.

Thank you and yes her upper body is "blue" and her deer body is "sky blue" which is darker

Linden got his wig trimmed this morning and was looking cute. (Has anyone else had a hard time getting the wig to lay nicely around the antlers?)

His hooves are blended acrylic, as I didn't have pastel the right color for them. I learned a ton blushing him!

Nian's put me over the line. I've wanted a deertaur forever and his face is just perfect... so, deertaur Nian it is (hopefully in the next month). I'm thinking transparent white horn, dark tan human body and transparent green deertaur body. That's my dream now.

Also, omg, someone mentioned an Andalite doll and that is the GREATEST CONCEPT EVER. Niiice.

@mollym He sure did. xD I got the little deer a few years ago, and since then, there's been two more to keep him company... and I keep coming back to the RS deertaurs and thinking, wouldn't it be fun to do an extreme resculpt on one of these?

I keep telling myself I do /not/ need a project of that enormous size, but the idea, it hangs around.

Does anyone have a front angle of blank winter's face? I havent gotten him yet but I wannt try and plan his face up but I cant find any straight up front angles they are all at a tilt and the only one I found was low quality and semi cut off...
I mean hes probably workable? but I also need the other ear >n<

 

Anyone have Nian owner pics? He caught my eye and I kind of wanna get one of him to make a custom. I'd want to replace the dragon wings and tail to be eagle wings and a lion tail, more like a griffontaur I guess. >u<

 

That is such a cool idea!! I'm afraid I don't have any owner pics to share, but if you do end up getting one and making him into a griffontaur, I'd love to see the result!

 

You could probably mod over the existing wings and tail with epoxy if you wanted.

 

I'm thinking of getting Spring in all white and making her an albino deer, with red eyes and white hair and stuff. Just look how cute this albino fawn is.

Welp, I bit the bullet and ordered a Nian. Getting him in full NS because I plan to flock the body anyways and figured he would be skin colored under the fur. And I saw that the wings, tail, and horn are all held on with magnets so that will make it so much easier for me to mod him how I want. Griffin centaur boy is gonna be in the works!

 

This sounds like a super interesting project especially the flocking. I hope you will show some photos of him then

 

Since posting that idea I'm actually thinking about covering him in faux fur. Would have to experiment and maybe even sand down some of his tighter together joints. But either way he'll be fuzzy!

 

I’d absolutely love to see any and all progress pictures, this is such a cool idea!

 

Does anyone know what size eyes Nian uses? Or any of the yosd centaurs? I don't know if he'll have the same size as the others but I just realized that his eye size isn't listed anywhere so I can't order him eyes.

 

I have 14mm low domes in my Winter. They gap a little, but not extremely.

This week marks 6 weeks since I ordered my Nian so I'm hoping he'll be on his way any day now.

 

FINALLY ordered a Resinsoul deertaur LOL! I am going to sue the body and antlers for my Soom Bygg human head which I have had for ALL these years! I'm happy to be finishing another doll. I am trying to "finish" my collection- if that's possible...

 

I just ordered a deertaur after spending hours playing around with colour schemes to figure out exactly what I want.

I fell in love with Spring a few years ago, forgot about the deertaurs entirely for a while and then remembered them again this week. Sure enough, I still love that adorable face, so I took the plunge and ordered one!

I ordered him with a faceup, because I know he will be sitting around blank for years otherwise... *stares at some of my other dolls*

They said that he will only cost $208 including shipping.

My brain likes to punish me for making purchases for myself of any kind, but I'm sure that he will be worth it. After all, RS is known for catering to their customers' wishes. Surely he will be perfect!
