Modification Resinsoul Bigger Boy Body into Female

Mar 20, 2017

    1. I've realized that I've not bonded to my ResinSoul/K-Doll hybrid, Luca, and I also realized that I'm happiest when I'm working on my dolls.

Anyways, I decided to replace my K-Doll head with an Impldoll Vanessa head that I am more fond of, and attempt a large mod to transform my ResinSoul Bigger Boy Body into a female body. Creating Dakota.

The original body with the K-Doll head:

The first task on my list was to sculpt the breasts:
Here she is pictured with the Impldoll Vanessa head. I started by covering the torso in plastic wrap so I could sculpt the breast to the body without it being permanent. This was so that I would not ruin the body if I disliked the look of the breasts or messed up in sculpting them. Then when I am happy with them I can permanently affix them to the body.
The first breast turned out larger than I had intended before, but I think it fits well with the body.

The second breast was much more difficult to sculpt, as I had to make it match the first breast as much as possible.
The nipples are a little larger than I intended, I'll sand them down tomorrow.
Originally I was going to remove the abs, but I actually kind of like the look of them now. I'll probably decide for sure later whether I will be keeping them.
This is all I have for today. I will finish removing Luca's body blushing this evening.

      Tasks for tomorrow:
-Sand down breasts to be more smooth and a little smaller/natural looking in some areas
-Paint breasts to match the white resin
      -Attach breasts permanently to body

      Tasks for mod:
-sculpt more feminine hips and buttocks
      -thinner waist?
      -decide on abs
-genitalia? (I'm trying to decide whether I should keep the male genitalia and have Dakota be a pre-op transwoman, or attempt a mod to female genitalia)
-re-do body blushing to match Dakota

    2. I love MtF mods so much. I can't wait to see how this turns out!

    3. This is so cool. I love it when people undertake big mod projects like this. It gives me hope that the mod projects I have planned are feasible, even if mine are Ftm which is the opposite of what you're doing. Good luck with the rest I know it's going to be a huge undertaking but so far is looking great!

    4. She looks lovely with abs, I wish there were more (any?) bodies like that out of the box. *^*

The mod looks great so far! Good luck!

    5. Oooh it's coming along very nicely, good job and good luck!

    6. Apparently Impldoll has a muscular female body :)

And thank you guys for the support ^_^ I'm loving the way she's turning out. I decided to restring her (omitting the arms due to the plastic) while her breasts are curing and I just love how she is looking so far!

    7. Like I already said, it's a very, very good job. I'm impressed ! And I love the idea. The breasts and the abs are really beautiful together !

    8. This is fantastic, and a great idea to sculpt on top of plastic wrap. Are you taking constructive crit? Your work's super - I assume you sculpt a lot..!

    9. Sure, I'll take constructive criticism. Can't promise I'll follow it, but it's good to have another view and such.

I actually don't sculpt very often, this is only my second mod job, the first was an elf ear mod on an AoD head. I do draw a lot though, I was kind of drawing on that skill for this.

    10. It's honestly nothing major: your breast shape and position is very good, just them nipples are too high for the size of the breast. Larger breasts tend to have their nipples sitting lower down.

I don't sculpt much either, but I'm happy with how it works out when I do - I really do think drawing is an excellent precursor for working in 3D because you really have to think in terms of forms and mass to draw well!

    11. Yea, my mum pointed out the same thing, and I'm probably going to move them down a bit. I realized I won't be able to paint them until I have them attached to the body anyways, so it won't hurt anything to sand them off and sculpt on a new set today.

I agree! You have to have a certain knowledge of 3D shapes to draw well, so it helps a lot in sculpting.

    12. I haven't done any more work on her yet because I was waiting for the breasts to cure and I'm heading out to get a couple things I need to finish, but I couldn't resist posting a picture of Dakota lounging while she waits for her breasts to cure. I temporarily put her back together during the drying process to see a glimpse of how she is going to look finished, sans arms due to the plastic

Excuse the one darker leg, this body is white, but was originally blushed to be NS to match the head it was attached to. I'm still in the process of removing the blushing.

      Tasks for today:
      -finish removing blushing
      -test paint
      -remove nipples
-sand breasts a smidge smaller and more even
      -re-attach nipples
      -sand nipples to match breasts
      -overcoat of paint
-attach breasts to body (if time allows)

    13. Looking forward to watching this progress. Off to a great start.

Also wanted to say, I kind of like the abs. The original is not crazy defined or cut, so it does not look unnatural. I have an old sculpting book the shows the sculptor making a thin sheet of material and laying it over the muscles. This softens the definition, but lets one see the muscles underneath. You might give it a try if you decide to soften them. You can always peel it off before it cures if you do not like the results.

I've finished removing the old blushing and I've sanded down the breasts as well as moved the nipples to a much more natural position. Once the nipples are dry and the rest of the breasts have finished drying more fully (I found out they weren't fully cured when I took my dad's dremel to them... and got not fully cured resin all over his dremel bit, oops. Guess I owe my dad a new bit) im going to finish sanding the breasts more fully.
I got the wrong color paint unfortunately (it's too white) so I'm going to take her hand with me to the store to try to color match and get the right color paint when I go to get an even finer grit of sandpaper later this evening.

      Tasks for today:
-sand nipples to match breasts, finish sanding breasts
      -re-test new paint
      -overcoat of paint
-attach breasts to body (if time allows)

    15. Posting here to add it to my watchlist!

    16. Unfortunately the second paint that I picked also did not work out, so I did a little research on a better method (which I should have done in the fist place. Live and learn)
I also decided that it would be better for painting purposes to go ahead and attach the breast piece to the body.
So now it looks rough again until it dries and I can sand it back down. But unfortunately I'm at a standstill until it dries.

But in the meantime I decided to mod the belly button a little bit, because the original belly button drove me crazy.

And now we wait for the resin to cure.

    17. Didn't get too much visible work done today, most of it has been waiting for resin to dry, but I was able to sand down and get the belly button painted. There is a slight color difference, but it will be covered by blushing anyways.
I do like the shape of it much better than the original.
I also started using a dremel on the breasts to get them back to their original shape before I attached them to the chest piece, but only one was dry so I have to wait until tomorrow to do the other and finish sanding/paint them.

    18. i like the belly button! I think I'm going to be carving mine in a little more. I think I actually have the smaller boy body, he's pretty tiny.

    19. Thanks! I'm interested to see how you do yours.
How tall is yours? Mine is about 70cm.

Well the one I'm modding is anyways. I've got their SD, MSD, and YoSD

    20. Finally got ahold of my dad's dremel again, and got to shape and smooth the breasts how I wanted. I also started to paint a little.

I've got the white base coat on and now I'm working on color matching. Which is more difficult than I thought it would be on a white body, lol.

On a side note, have a picture of Dakota lounging on my bookshelf with one white breast and one un-smoothed grey breast.
I can't wait to finish her, she is so expressive, and I love her already.

    21. Mine is 60 cm and pretty short and slender which is what I was looking for. The one breast thst was color matched is looking great!

    22. Man I love that last photo. This shows so much potential. I can't wait to see her finish ! You're doing a great job. Matching color must be hard. >.<

    23. Gotta take a small hiatus cause I need to fix the airbrush and work on a paper for school, but I think I picked a good color for a color match.
When I have time this week I might start working on sculpting the hips and butt, and then I can just knock out painting the hips at the same time as the breasts.

    24. [IMG]

Hiatus is going to be a bit longer than anticipated. I have to devote my life to my Biology class until the end of the semester in three weeks, then I'll have a week long break where I can get back to work on her.

For now I put her back together because she was too tempting to work on while disassembled.

When I return I'll work on modding her hips and butt, finish color matching breasts and then paint the hips and butt, and finally do the body blushing.

So I'll see you guys in a few weeks!
