Resin Comparison Resinsoul and/or Dream Valley vs DollPamm

I can do a Resinsoul and DollPamm comparison for you! It’ll have to be later, but I can do that. I think they are fairly close, not an exact match but probably close enough to get away with after blushing.

 

Here's a comparison for you!

No filter, they're in daylight but with the white balance on my phone adjusted so they didn't blow out the picture with exposure (that's why they appear dark). Resinsoul and DollPamm are almost completely indistinguishable from each other. I will say that Resinsoul's white can be a bit unstable; a good batch stays paper white for a long time, but a bad batch yellows a lot quite quickly. It's unlikely though, I think it's only very bad luck to have that happen.

Dream Valley tends to have the same resin colours as DollZone and Doll Chateau, since they are an offshoot of those companies, so the DollZone white resin is pictured. Note that this is NOT yellowed, DZ and DC "white" resin IS yellow/cream. The same is true of the Loongsoul resin pictured.

I imagine Resinsoul will be your best bet at a match!

 

Thank you for this comparison, especially the comment about DZ white being more cream! I had no idea that was the case and thought my boy had just yellowed! This saved me from the deyellowing process, so I appreciate it!

 

@KikiBJD No problem! And haha, yeah, I jnow the feeling. When I got my very first DollZone doll, I nearly sent messages to the dealer to complain I had been sent yellow skin. Turns out no; DZ/DC white is literally... yellow. I have since purchased multiple white skin dolls from them, via different dealers, and they are all the same colour.

That said, I will add that DZ white is exceptionally unstable, the most unstable resin I have ever personally had. It yellows very quickly and quite severely. I buy it for dyeing, I would not recommend buying it to actually have as white skin, because it will start out cream yellow and turn into a stronger darker yellow. One DZ item I own, nobody would ever believe it is/was “white skin”, the yellow is so extreme.

 

Oh gosh. That’s concerning. Now I’m wondering if he really has yellowed and I’m not crazy. It’s honestly hard to say just because I haven’t any experience with one that isn’t first hand. I suppose I could give it a go with cleaning his spare broken leg part that his first owner provided to see if it makes any difference and go from there. Thank you for letting me know!
