My Lil Frankie Got Tired Of Everyone Saying He Is Too Shy So He Tried To Be Smexy............After He Saw The Picture He Passed Out. Lol, He Really Is Too Shy

 

He is adorable, shyness is part of his charm.

 

My Talamh is getting a new pair of eyes!

I am super excited for them to come in~ Don't get me wrong, this Ersa Flora pair is beautiful, but as a shapeshifter, she's prone to changing things up

I wanted to ask, I still have to look but I hope someone will help me with the waist and length of a Rong body. I want to make my incoming girl an outfit or at least a skirt but I need the exact measurement. Thank you so much ^^

 

MSD girl body waist 12.5cm From top of shoulder to her bottom is 13cm.
Resinsoul says her waist is 11 but my 2009 body is 12.5cm.
Their shoulder width of 7.5cm is from arm to attached arm. The torso shoulder measurement arm hole to arm hole is ~5.5cm. (measurement for sleeve placement).
From waist to top of knee is 12cm.

 

Thank you so much SteamWitch excited to start working. By any chance what is the measurement from waist to feet? Her skirt is going to be flowing and hopefully long

 

It's about 22.5cm to her ankle, 23.5cm to the floor, barefoot.

 

Thank you x the dress is crochet so a lot easier to pick up than knitting. And her wig is from for my doll. They do beautiful ones

I'm going to be getting my first doll sometime soon (I'm waiting to order one until summer). I'm going to get a RS Tang, but I'm thinking of getting him on a different body that's a little less muscular to suit the character I have in mind better. Someone recommended the Wu body (I think? I can't remember...).

If any of you guys have a RS Tang I'd love to see some pictures!

Would wu head fit on ring body ? I am thinking of getting a female wu

 

Thikrayat~ Not totally sure if you meant "Rong" or if you meant "ring" as in another companies bodies (ring doll?)... But assuming you meant the first one, Yes, Wu's head will fit on the Rong Body, and I think someone could even post spam of the combo. If you're not a stickler for proportion you can put most the MSD heads on most of the MSD bodies.

 

Hello Thikrayat. I tried my Wu head on my Rong body and it looks good to me. Maybe the head is a little large, but RS dolls all seem to have slightly larger heads.



I know someone on here has a female Wu, but I can't remember who it is...
I'm cracking up so bad looking at Hill's head on a girl body though. It looks so weird!

I think that is so funny when that happens @Maxtastic I did the same thing once I dressed up my boy doll as a girl just to see what the dress looked like and I burst out laughing. There are some dolls that I think are so strong to their gender that no matter what you could possibly do, they won't budge from that, instead they kinda of give you an eye of "what'cha doing?" or "really?"

 

Hahaha, I know right, Ballet? Most of mine are pretty set in my mind as to their style and gender, so it really cracks me up when I dress them differently.

I'm thinking about the lighter grey for the Mei, and the dark grey for the two Ju (they're fraternal twins). The character the Mei is representing is a half-breed (Drow/wood elf), so having a slightly lighter skintone makes sense for her, buuuut I'm almost scared that the dark grey will be "too dark"?

My Yao is white and not fantasy colors, but I'll share her still. ^^

 

Ballet, Resinsoul makes the most amazing fantasy colors...they're all gorgeous and I don't think you can go wrong with any of them. Here is my cat girl, Angora, in regular blue.

 

Stop it, I can't buy her yet. Need to get the car fixed!

Thank you so much everyone! Love the photos and would love more I can't wait till Celestina comes home! How did you guys come up with ideas for your characters? or did you just see them and they worked their way into being an OC? Right now Celestina is slowly telling me her story, I really should sit down and write it down. I've never felt like this for a doll I've owned, not this strongly at least.

 

All my guys are characters from the novels I write. I have a house rule that nobody comes home who isn't a character already otherwise I'd be overrun by the dolls. Even with that rule in place (and I've only broken it once for an RS Pixiu in red because he was just too darn cute not to get), I've still managed to somehow get 27 of these wallet vampires.

 

Yep! It's such a lovely color, I wish all companies offered it. But then again, it's certainly good for my wallet that they don't!

 

So how are the wait times when ordering from Denverdoll vs ordering direct from RS?

 

Unless the doll you want is in stock, you're looking at around 3 months for DDE vs 30 days (give or take) for direct from RS. At least that's been my experience.

 

Okay. I figured it might be something like that but thought I'd ask anyway. Looks like I'll order direct when I can. at least that way I'll have tracking too.

Lucky for me I sold something and it covers the cost of Rong. Just got the quote on fixing my car. $500+. good thing I have that so getting the doll now is not a problem. She should be here on Monday! Since I am home while my car is getting fixed, I think I'm going to try and make a few things for her. possibly. If I don't get distracted. lol

 

Hey, newbie-ish question... you know how white/yellow skin yellows over the years and tan turns green? Has anyone noticed discoloring of their red/blue/purple/grey dolls? And if so, are they darkening or fading in the color?

 

I have a Jun in the old blue from... 2010-ish. He is now more of a turquoise-blue colour. He spends 95% of his time in his box and when he's not in there, he's generally not exposed to any sun light (direct or indirect). I like the colour he mellowed to.

 

The newer tans don't turn green. My 6 year old purple girl looks a bit gray instead of purple but next to gray she still looks purple.

Writing is a HUGE time-sucker and it's one of those things where you can't really do anything else while you're doing it so you need to be prepared to set aside significant time to write. When I'm on a roll, I can do about 1,000 to 1,200 words an hour, which is quite a bit, really. I've been working hard on one particular story that I'm under contract for and have been writing for about 4 hours every night after I get home from my day job, which leaves me pretty much no time for anything else, dolls included *sigh*.

Wren says "Hello!" Just borrowing the clothes until I can make hers. She came with pretty blue eyes but I changed to these. Just temporary until I find the right shade of brown. I don't get why so many people don't like this company. She stands like a rock right out of the box. I even got her to stand on one foot, also like a rock, in about two seconds. She has no damage and her resin is perfect. I love her hands and feet! She's not kicky at all and is strung perfectly (her arms are a bit snappy but that is normal.) My only complaint is that the S hook in her head is too big. It was a pain to get her head off to get her eyes in, and then the hook got in the way of the eye stems so positioning her eyes was tricky. I'm going to do a review of her at some point. Overall, I am very happy with my first RS doll.
