Maintenance Replacing hands on tightly strung body?

if you absolutely can't pull the hand out far enough to see the elastic-- worst case scenario, you could restring just the arms without having to redo the whole doll. you may be able to get better leverage to pull the elastic out without help from another person by laying the doll down on the floor on something like a folded towel and then holding its body down with your knees while pulling up on the hand/arm. if you can get to the elastic that way, i suggest sticking something like a knitting needle, chopstick or pencil through the pulled-up loop of elastic. that way you can change the hooks/hands without having to try and hold that elastic out. hope some of that helps!
