Removing blemishes on a coated face...

Jun 12, 2005

    1. Okay, my doll's face up isn't perfect, but I love it and don't want to change it. It fits her so well. HOWEVER, when I was sealing her, some little specks ( I assume trapped in the air between the nozzle and the face ) were sealed onto her as well. There's a visible speck on her nose, and one on the side of her face.

I would like to remove these specks... however, I know that would require me to use acetone. Could I remove the specks and then seal the face again without there being a problem? I don't want to have to remove her entire face up.

    2. MCS does come off with a cleaning sponge- Go to the store and pick up some Mr. Clean Magic Erasers, rip of a small piece of it and just lightly scrub the spots with the specks. It should come off fairly easily I'd imagine, if not, just scrub it a bit harder. But, if it's in an area that has blushing be careful- That will come off along with MSC, though it takes a bit more elbow grease to do that. In any case, you should be able to reseal it after removing the sepcs with no problem. ^^

    3. Use a toothpick to scrape off the speck. It works like a charm. :)

    4. Ah! I have Mr.Clean sponges! Goody! ^_^ AND toothpicks...!

      Thanks a bunch!

    5. i know this is ot - but purin is so gorgeous - that now i REALLY want a ttory

    6. #XD# Awww! Thanks! I always feel so satisfied when people compliment her face. Especially since her face-up was made with cheap and very non-proffesional supplies.

    7. Make sure you recoat after scraping/rubbing out the specks! ^_^ I've noticed scratches in my coating tend to grow. *_* Then just regloss the lips and eyes and you're all set.
