Heeelp please x.x ... My Dollfie Dream got stains from wig *cry* ... Material is Vinyl... And now i cannot remove it... need help, how can i removed the hard stains? X.X
So sorry!! There is a thread with this same problem... It was mentioned to try Oxy Clean (do you have that in Germany?) also possibly Basic H (sold by Shaklee) I've never tried either on a DD since I don't own one. Hope someone else can help you, best wishes!!
Have had good luck in removing all kinds of marks from vinyl dolls. However these were baby dolls, etc. Think it would be the same but won't guarantee your results. The trick is good old zit cream. Very carefully put it on the spot and give it some time, can be as much as a week or two for really bad ink stains. (not that you'd get that kind of a stain) The problems arise if it is on too long because it can lighten everything. I'd check it every 12 hrs, maybe less since the vinyl is probably thinner than some of the older dolls I've worked on. MM
I have had wonderful luck with the products from Twin Pines of Maine. I would recommend them to any vinyl doll owner, it saved my DD and my Obitsu girls!
I know this is an old thread but for reference here's how to remove stains from vinyl dolls (especially Dollfie Dream). Buy human acne creme with the active ingredient of benzoyl peroxide. The brand I used was 5% strength. Disassemble the doll so you can just treat whichever part is stained. Rub it on the affected area. Put the doll part somewhere very warm for 30 minutes or so. I was stupidly negligent and put it in a ceramic pot on top of my room heater. It was reckless but it massively reduced the time required to treat the stain. Allow to rest between treatments. For small stains you can go more slowly (less heat). Also a good source of heat is a hot car interior in summer. There are misleading guides circulating that tell you light/UV is required in stain removal. Neither are required. The key ingredient is heat. The sun can provide heat, but it can also potentially cause vinyl to yellow, especially semi-white and white Dollfie vinyl. Finally remember that Dollfies are composed of replaceable parts. Just bear in mind some parts/skin tones are much more difficult to replace. Also some parts (e.g. Miku's painted hands) and heads are much more valuable, so go easy on these. Below is before and after for Kirika. I fixed her up in 8 days, but most of the stain went in 30 minutes after I forgot to turn the heater off lol:
