Change could be a very difficult and painful thing. Adhara's opera-mask facepaint (see bottom of the post) was a distinctive part of her image, and I've captured so many photos of her in that look. It was not an easy decision to make, overhauling who she was. But over the years, I've asked myself what she actually stood for, to me. Especially with all the trials and tribulations of the past year or so, I've changed a lot. Her character had changed too, in many ways.

I'll miss her old faceup, and I'm pretty sure there are others who will, too. But it was a leap of no regrets, and the hobby journey continues on!

Adhara's warpaint form is a Fantasia Doll Vivian (original Fly Me to the Moon release, open-eyed version) on an Impldoll Starwoman MGB. Faceup, chin mod, and eyes (enhanced with some post-processing help) by Raentheria on IG. Wig and clothes made by yours truly.

Awwww, thank you! Part of the challenge was how to "carry over" enough of the preexisting character into the new look, especially considering how different they were. It was also a testament to how the faceup artist had improved over time, because she was the same person who handled the original version.
