Realistic glass eyes for bjd 12mm & 14mm

THere is a UK-based company called Hand Glass Craft that do some lovely work. However, some of the eyes look a little stylised (in the traditional, porcelain doll style) for my tastes, and they can be expensive, The site is here.

German glass eyes can be great, and there are some reasonably-priced ones out there. G. Schoepfer do some nice oval ones. They are an American company and the shipping fee will reflect that, but the quality is good. The eyes I have bought are here.

Finally, there is a slew of very similar Taiwanese glass eyes all over eBay. To me, the quality is highly comparable to the Schoepfer eyes, they are just a lot cheaper and can sometimes be found from UK sellers. Here is an example.

I have a pair of Hand Glass style 400 eyes, and they are far and away the most beautiful and realistic I have seen. There are other styles, too, but the style 400 is the most realistic in my opinion.

Ginarolo sells Hand Glass eyes here on DoA Marketplace. She's in NY, so shipping would be more, but her prices are discounted enough that you might actually do better with her.

 

Thanks MadameMauMau I had not seen that UK company. I like the look of their eyes and they are inexpensive which is always a plus. I am always on the look out for good eyes.

 

Coolcat also sells a nice variety of realistic glass eyes under these sections: KA PW Glass Eyes, KA Glass Eyes, and UK PW Glass Eyes.

Doll Leaves also sells some really nice eyes (particularly section CY, HY, and K), but they are a bit more stylized.

 

Oh! Those ones! Quite a few places carry them: MiniWorldDolls (ignore the picture you click on because it links to one of acrylic eyes), AllForADoll, Kemper, etc. If you Google "Flat Oval Glass Paperweight", then a bunch of sites carrying them will pop up.
