USA Raleigh NC Meet up?

There was a group that met around here recently. We met about 4 times last year - mostly on line but once in person in Durham. We have not done anything yet in 2022. Hopefully that will change. Keep checking in here. Some of them were thinking about going to the doll show in Raleigh this Saturday - but that was a while ago. Raleigh would be very convenient for me. There is also a rose garden and arboretum connected to NCSU.

 

I know I would be interested. Although I will be caring for my mother soon as she is having knee surgery.

 

Hi again! Chiming in as, I'd be interested or could host a Zoom meet on my account if folks would like. I've just been up to my ears in work-related things and general life for the last year or so (tl;dr: had a very involved project take over all my time but I'm now between roles/interviewing at the moment).
I do miss seeing folks and hope everyone is well!!

Dang, I'm trying to recall who all was at the Durham and covid-Zoom meets. Kinda wish meet threads were archived instead of cleared. Ouja Akuma, did someone come with you to the Durham hotel cafe meet or am I thinking the wrong person?

I've had a migraine most of the week so my memory's being extra spotty right now, hopefully it comes back to me.

 

I’d love to do an in person meet now that the weather’s nice! Maybe outdoors? I did have a table at the Doll and Bear show in Raleigh earlier in September to get rid of extra wigs, clothes, and props, and met a bunch of local collectors!

Ah! That's so close! I end up over at Corbet's maybe a bit more than I should...but the man makes a good burger.

Just accepted a new job role here, will be starting next month, huge load off my mind to know I'll be back to my working shortly, but in the meantime I can finish up the faceup I started in May and keep on studying for the certifications I've been working on.

 

I’m in CH and would soooo be down for a doll meetup! I’ve been looking on discord and didn’t think until now to check doa as well.

 

I am out Halloween weekend (got a guest Fri-Mon that weekend) and usually out on Sundays (RPG day for me, though this Sunday I'll be selling at Game Theory's bazaar. I've been doing paperwork all week/avoiding the State Fair traffic /my life feels like chaos, so don't worry about me too much as far as scheduling. XD

I work a 9-5 so I’m pretty flexible, but would be down to help organize anything - just moved here from California, so I’m a bit lonely not gonna lie.

 

I've got something in Durham at around 6 -- would maybe around 1 or so be too early? Definitely down though, and also seconding free places to meet up! Is NCSU an open campus? Would be totally down to meet there I've done meetups in libraries before but it looks like Raleigh ones aren't open to public meetings yet....

 

Unfortunately I have to be out of town this weekend and won’t be able to make it, but I hope y’all have fun!

I’m generally free weekends with a weeks notice and able to drive anywhere in the triangle!

 

For some reason, I got dropped from the conversation. ( DOA didn’t notify me of activity in this watched thread.) I’m not sure whether there was a meet-up or not. Anyway, I’m always game for one if I’m around. I am on discord as calamity#8355

 

I have been up to my ears in paperwork and then first week stuff (new role has a lot of security hoops I had to complete). I'm around weekends for the most part!
Anyone happen to know if the Art Museum is likely to be friendly to a group with dolls?
