Hi there, I need your help. I would like to make a comparison between a Raccoon dool and a FID Iplehouse. I'm going to buy myself a new BJD soon and my heart swings between these two styles of dolls of 44 cms and some. If you have pictures of these ladies side by side to show me, I will be forever grateful. Many thanks.
I have an FID and considering a Raccoon Doll for a friend. My question is can they wear each others clothing?
FIDs and Raccoon females can share many clothing items...but the very first Raccoon version female with the wider-hipped female body would be a sure exception. This photo show a FID Stella with the Athletic body and medium bust (there are now two more body types for the females) and a Raccoon Lucy medium bust with a first version body without the wide-hips. Mair and Lucy by luluna33, on Flickr Raccoon Men are a tad taller than FID males (there are two male FID bodies so far and the Model body is more slender)...but can still share many clothing items that have some stretch, except the length of pants for the Raccoon men can be an issue.
Thank you Luluna. All of this information will help me in my purchase decision. Thank you very much for the photo, the two dolls are magnificent. I am in love with FID Iplehouse, but I would like to vary the dolls in my collection.
Yes! Many thanks for the help. I've compared the measurements and the Raccoon doll girl is a bit bigger here and the FID girl is a bit bigger there so perfectly tailored clothingwould be a no go but doll clothing is rarely perfectly tailored so my guess was that clothing could be shared but I wanted an informed opinion.
@Rosydolls and @TomB - You are most welcome! Their measurements are like you said a bit bigger here and there...and there are more body options now also...so even within the same company the sizes are a little different...but with clothing that stretches or has laces...they can often wear the same stuff. Here's Raccoon Lucy wearing an Iple JID outfit....it is a little big in her waist....but works well enough for photos. Lucy by luluna33, on Flickr
