Actually, that's not a bad idea for shipping. It would lower the cost of packaging and the cost of shipping, plus protect what's inside. I for one totally approve.

They look wonderful together!!! Ha, I didn’t realise the MSD dolls were also coming in the tubes now, I got my Raccoondoll Girl Ada in one, I thought it was just for the little ones!

 

I also welcome the tube packaging for the MSDs! Our customs is notorious for holding doll boxes hostage for inspection, but the compact RaccoonDoll parcel made it through without a hitch.

@morganatron Her wig is actually from For My Doll. It seems RaccoonDoll has some partnership with them because it's in the list of wigs you can order in their website. Saved me the hassle of ordering separately from FMD.

@Seed-Singer I couldn't find a lot of references for Momo either, and wasn't too encouraged by the official images making her look quite childlike. But I decided to go for her, and turned out she was more than just a baby-faced sculpt!

 

I like the tubes. The save so much space standing.
Solveig has a new outfit. Have you ever heard of the fashion style Academia? This one doesn't exactly fit the criteria, but it sure looks academic.

I am tempted again. I love raccoondoll girls and I have no bjd girls except one but she is mostly cat. I need more ladies in my collection real bad. But I don't have a particular sculpt that I really want yet plus I have raccoondoll already ordered. I will avoid looking for now or I will start wanting for sure and loose temptation game again

 

Yes, I’m afraid I’ve been tempted. I noticed the new girls just as I was contemplating another companies 45cm dolls. I was absolutely floored by drop-dead gorgeous Laetitia with the NP Glamour body and Moche skin tone. The reduction and gift was great but I just had to have this girl. I wouldn’t mind but I’ve only just received Nina. Anyway the damage is done. I’ve ordered a special edition Laetitia on layaway.

 

I checked my raccoondoll boy order status and it says "before shipment"(while trying hard not to look at beautiful new ladies lol). Hopefully it will be shipped soon. I'm so excited

 

Congratulations!!! Laetitia is my favourite of all their dolls, and that face up is gorgeous!
I'm going to have to resist, as I've spent too much on dolls lately, and besides, I really would like to get another boy next - I have lots of ladies and the boys are outnumbered!!! So I'm trying to resist temptation by not even looking!!!

Any recommendations on whether to get the slim vs natural pose slim body?

Also does anybody else wish they'd have blank head photos with the dolls instead of having to find them in the gallery?

 

The new faceup on Leticia is quite beautiful! I e always wanted her, and the natural pose body looks amazing. I will probably have to pass again this year, I already bought a doll recently

 

Hmm, my hand seems to have slipped and ordered Mika in Sweet Mocha. Funny how that happens! I am looking forward to seeing the "naturally posed" body (I got her on the slim one, small bust.) It's been a while.

I got my Raccoondoll Henry in Sweet Mocha. He is amazing and poses better than any of my dolls, I am in shock I didn't think that posing a doll could be that easy lol :O And it took RaccoonDoll only around couple of months(looking at you, Impldoll).
Before ordering I asked here about the faceup quality and I was told it is great. It is! I requested the same faceup as promo photos and I don't know how but what I got looks even better So many little details! Wow. Here is a closeup if anyone is curious.

Downside is that I didn't get the tube! I got him in a normal box. Maybe the guys are too big for the tubes. I took some photos of box opening and write a post when I feel more energy.

Yes! So great! Photos doesn't do justice, in real life my jaw droped.

He is! It is normal for me to have a buyers regret after receiving a doll for a bit and only after a while getting attached, but this time no buyers regret period, I got super happy as soon as I saw him.
Now I have a common problem here. I had a wig and I was hoping it is gonna fit him is actually too big.

Does anyone here have experience altering wigs? Do you think its possible to cut hair and reduce volume somewhat or I better go look for a new one.

 

I sew seams to make wigs smaller (put the wig on upside down and use a marker for where you should sew) and very often trim wigs. But I am good at cutting hair. (Not sure everyone can do this.)

I've tried cutting wigs before but unfortunately have no talent for it, but I've seen others do it. The only thing I've occasionally had success with for bouffy wigs is to restyle them by pouring hot but not boiling water on them (not while the doll is wearing them!) and combing them to make the hair sit down a bit, then leaving them to dry on something more or less the shape of a doll head. Which also works for taming curls that are too big. But it does look like that wig will be quite long even once you do that, so you might need to trim it anyway. Short wigs in this size are hard to get so they actually look good! It's why I always end up putting long hair on my boys!

 

My experience with cutting hair is getting a haircut in a salon and watching youtube vids how to do that.
But I think I can trim it and try out hot water treatment. If anything that can be learning experience. If I fail I go on a search quest to find short hair that looks good. I looked before and iplehouse and raccoon doll had short blond sold out, sartoriaj didn't have one available.

 

Hi, everyone! I impulsively picked up a Momo at ResinRose Expo. She's my first fashion msd. I had no real plans for her, just kind of feeling it out as it goes, but so far I'm definitely going dark. I did a gothic make up look on her and I think I'll be giving her "V" bangs when I make her wig.

Can I ask for your opinion? I am undecided about the wig for my Cindy. Maybe she'll just change colors randomly, but in my experience my dolls want to keep one style. Since I can just add one picture here, I'll post my favorite color and the link to the other pictures below.

It's a difficult choice . Maybe she'll switch between the ash tones. The medium gold is a lovely color, but it does look a bit unnatural because it's such a mass of hair.

My Mika has shipped! I'm thinking she'll be here by Wednesday or Thurs. Hopefully I'll have some good weather to paint her on Friday when I'm off! She will clearly have to be spooky and witchy with her arriving so close to Halloween (okay, let's face it, she'd be that way in my collection either way).

 

My Laetitia and her friend arrived...nice surprise to find them waiting. I am thrilled with both of them but took quick pics of Laetitia this morning...

I will have to get them photographed together and see what you think...I guess they could very easily be in the same family I have another Laetitia too but I couldn't resist this face up.

I have done a quick side by side of them but it would be fun to use your query as a reason to get them together for photos!

This thread is so dangerous, but their Rosie has my whole heart right now. I saw on the description it said 6mm eyes. Is that what y'all been using? With how big an iris? I'm horrible at judging sizes.

 

Yes, 6mm is the best fit I've found, or occasionally 8mm, which is annoying as there aren't many eyes available in that size! I've recently discovered Heart Of A Fairy, if you order 8mm with a 4mm iris, they seem to fit very well. I think most 6mm eyes have a 4mm iris too? Not sure! Maybe someone else has more info! I totally agree, when I first saw the limited faceups I immediately thought of Natalie Portman. I wonder if they would put that faceup on Elf Nina? Do I neeeedddd another elf.....

 

Hooray I finally have a raccoondoll man! I was able to purchase a second-hand elf Ron and he arrived yesterday. So far I'm very happy! No pictures yet, he will need a faceup, and for that we need better weather haha.

She's been "done" for a bit now, but here she is! The thigh high boots I got her didn't quite fit right so I'll need to eventually find other ones.

 

I totally fell in love with Elf Lea and the limited faceup. Totally gorgeous, with the painting on the forehead and those crystal eyes.
I think she might become my first Raccoon Doll.

Can someone please tell me how the discount works? When I choose all options for Elf Lea it shows the discounted price of $358, but when I put her into the cart the prize is shown as the normal $430 again. Am I missing something here?
