It's funny, there's something so strong about this girl that she can wear patterns I wouldn't usually consider for a doll this size.

 

I had two new Raccoondoll arrivals so will share here I am sooo happy with them and the face ups are beautiful. I had a little posing/photo session with them yesterday and am hoping to do the same this afternoon. They felt very easy to work with and very cooperative. I am loving the new Natural Pose body. Both of my new girls are slim but will share them one at a time so as not to spam I love the new hands and feet. It's been a while since I had a new RD.

Honestly I would love some elf children as well lol.

I saw something on maybe one of the Facebook groups where someone was saying their newer raccoondoll had a head that was small compared to those older raccoondoll . Can anyone confirm this? I can't seem to find the original post now of course.

 

I have Yumi and even though I don’t have an older RD doll, I can tell her head is smaller. Hers is much smaller than my FID heads. I was expecting them to be closer. I still have her as a character in their family though. You can see a bit of the difference here.

Hmm, I feel like some head sculpts of theirs are bigger than others, but I couldn’t say if it’s new versus old or not - like, my Laetitia has a bigger head than my Iris, for example, but I feel like it’s not a huge difference. Happy to take pictures if it would help you at all?

@Mahgiep what an adorable lil photo story yes I kind of see the difference in the head sizes, but I wouldnt have noticed unless I had been told I suppose.

@morganatron interesting. I have an Iris and I feel like her head is a good size, maybe even a tad large. I suppose real heads come in different sizes too technically

 

I seem to recall at some point I promised to show a photo of my Laetitia army, so instead I decided to go all out and take a photo of my entire Fashion doll crew for Christmas!!! Here they are:

So yes, that's, uh, 5 Laetitas! I may have a problem...
I mean, one reason is that the Sleepy Laetitia head is one of the few available to buy separately, so when I was unhappy with an existing head I could sell it and buy one of them to make a hybrid instead. The other reason is that I just really like that sculpt!!!
All clothes made by me. They don't all quite match as to which era they are in, but one day I'll get there with having them all the same style!!!

 

@morganatron, all those ladies and one guy? All I got to say he's one lucky man.

Ha, there actually is two guys - the hybrid one next to the FID guy is also a boy, I got a slimmer male body to be a younger looking guy (and the head sculpt is actually a female one) - he's a bit hard to see hidden behind the couch though!!! And I have just ordered a SartoriaJ guy, so soon he'll have more company!

 

Hi everyone. I'm shopping for an elf lady. Is there a place on the Rdoll site that shows the resin colors? I look at the various dolls, I see the mocha hand colors, but I'd like to find a more formal lineup of all colors.

@Seed-Singer - thanks. These are a few colors. There are 9 to choose from and I can search around the site for them, but it's not presented very well.

I just received a Laetitia!!! Opened last night. She's been on my list for years. If you were thinking about ordering the NP body. Do it. Its absolutely divine. Posing, holding the pose, the aesthetic. I'm absolutely thrilled with it. I ordered her with small bust and glamourous body which is gorgeous. The small bust is very small, natural looking and would be maybe a B cup IRL. I have an Iris original slim. It is so good that RD has redone the feet and hands.

@luluna Thank you . I had a little mishap with her, I chipped her nose before I even posted her introduction. It could be fixed, but her nose looks a little different now. I hope it's not very visible. I had Nina on my wish list for a long time. And she's even lovelier in person than I imagined.

 

I just bought a RD Laetitia second hand from a friend. She is missing her headcap because my friend had a fire but was able to save most of her dolls (thankfully). Would RD sell me a replacement headcap? I have the COA to prove she is legit from them.

 

They're usually very attentive and efficient answering in their q&a board, so I guess you can try!

Just bought a 1/3 blank Violet on layaway in NS with jeans, light top, earrings, blazer. They will send a free brown wig and pink ruched dress. I have had two of their I/3 heads for years. I wonder if the older head will fit. I hope I can make Violet look Korean like my crew. I have Yumi so I’ve been impressed with the body posing.

I have been trying to find which of my doll “Girl” Jenny fits in with. I have IH JIDs, KIDs and BIDs but she doesn’t look right with them. I’ve tried her next to FL LittleFees - no go. She doesn’t even look right next to a Raccoon BeBe! I come to realise that it is the size of her head. It’s at least an inch smaller than the others and she’s altogether too slim. So going by Resin Raptures blog and these pages (plus the ones on the “Girl” thread), I have finally ordered a Sweet Moche Nana in SM with a Natural Pose slim body and a company face-up. She was the only one that has a mouth similar to Jenny’s (and I’ve spent hours looking at RD’s Woman 45 and IH FIDs).
I’ll put a few comparison shots of my girls up on Flickr when I have the time.

 

@EmanonUK Congrats on ordering Nana! I thought you knew that these kids were especially designed to work proportionally with the fashion doll sized dolls, like Raccoon, Iplehouse FID and Sartoriaj dolls. Those are all 1/4 scale but have a much smaller head than the average 1/4 scale dolls. It wasn't possible to find kid sized dolls that had a matching head, so we asked Raccoon to create one. But maybe you start a new collection with your Nana. I got hooked and almost neglect my big dolls since I started to focus on the fashion doll size.

 

Hi, thanks for that Resin Rapture, I didn’t actually realise (stupid of me, I know). I knew the girls worked with them but didn’t realise they were specifically made for that reason (obviously missed something there). I have a couple of JIDs but up to now I hadn’t looked at the FIDs and I don’t want anything bigger (I’m having enough trouble finding beds for everyone as it is) but I am looking at the larger sized ladies now. Nina is on 4 month layaway so will take a while. Thank goodness for your blog

 

Congratulations on your Nana!!! Yes, they really won't work with the larger headed dolls, which is most MSD and YoSD, just the fashion size with the 5-6" heads. Hopefully you will enjoy exploring this new size though, Nana is lovely!!!

For myself, even though I have MANY Raccoondolls already, somehow none of them look quite like they could be the mother to my GIRL Ada. So now I'm contemplating getting Smiling Gene - I don't think I've seen anyone else who owns one, and I must admit she didn't really grab me in the make up in the promo shots, but seeing the blank head, I really like her! She seems like she is kind and gentle with that smile, I think she has a lot of possibilities. So now that's another doll to save up for, oh dear!!!

 

I have Gene (my Jina) from the 1/3 heads for years. Her boyfriend is A, another 1/3 head with company faceup and tweaks. She’s not smiling but she has a lovely pleasant look anyway. Congrats on your purchase. Can’t wait to see your faceup!

Cindy was very much on my list, but Jyoti has leapt into the top spot!

 

She probably needs me to knit her a longer sweater for the cooler weather Cindy is gorgeous too but yes those last two dolls were stunning. I was going to order at the last moment but the event finished a little early. I will have to watch and be quicker about making up my mind next time.

I have my Monica on an Iplehouse athletic body and it works as though she was made for the body Congrats on your Lucy!

I have a few! One on a iplehouse FID curvy body, one on a JID body (for a more plus size look) and one on a Sartoriaj body. Unfortunately neither company sells bodies separately so it’s probably not much help!

 

Hi! Did anyone recently buy a doll from raccoon with a default face-up? I love one of default face ups from photos, but is it good quality when you order or it is better to commission from someone else?

 

@Fyrwenn I really like their face ups. In general I buy blank dolls and paint them myself but all but one of my Raccoon dolls have company face ups and I love them. I deepened my Rosie's lips a tiny bit but otherwise their face ups are exactly as they arrived.

 

I’m so excited! I finished paying my layaway for SD Violet but I was having second thoughts about doing her faceup as a Korean girl. Then they did a preview of Anna who would be sooo much better in the hanbok I ordered. And they said yes to my request to change Violet to Anna!!

 

@Thymeseer you may already know that Racoon Doll offers their Naturally Posed bodies separately if your open to getting a same company body for your incoming Lucy head.

Momo on the NP-Slim bod arrived last week, and was able to give her a faceup within several days of arrival. Here she is with my Iple FID Doria and SartoriaJ Demian for a quick height comparison.

Raccoon Doll is apparently shipping their fashion minis in giant "pringles cans" now, but she was protected with bubble wrap inside. When I received the package, I had to do a double-take because it was so compact (not that I'm complaining, though)!
