My very first fashion size Raccoondoll girl arrived, I named her Mia. This size is so adorable and easy to handle. I'm completely in love with her little sweet face

OMG all these Laras are absolutely beautiful. I have to admit, however, I think I fell in love with Nina... @Bren and @JinCIncy they are gorgeous! @Lyanne how do you find the FID body for your Monica compared to Raccoon bodies?

I prefer the FID bodies to be honest. I like the look much better. They are more detailed.

 

Well... My Rosie got shipped quite literary on a 90 days mark since I ordered her... But at least she is here now, and I even painted her today! Not the best picture - taken at 2 at night in my kitchen with awful light... But I felt like I need to commemorate the occasion.
Still need to body blush her - I wanted her very pain but alive looking, and I had no clue how... artificial the white doll is going to look - got her face to look right but I'll have to body match, that's for sure!

Love the new body, but I have to say I regret ordering her with small bust - just looks awkward to me... Oh well, I guess she'll have to deal - she is an elf, I wanted her to be on a slender side

@Khlovera Good for you getting a smaller doll. I didn't realise you hadn't had that size before. I think I am ready to take a break from my big girls and pay some attention to my smaller ones. Hoe you enjoy her - she is lovely!

@ResinRapture Haha...I think partly I made the decision after trying to wrangle HID Elle into submission yesterday and get her to stand still for a photo shoot. I will try again today

@LyanneNZ Mia (mika) is my first Raccoondoll girl, I used to own a FID girl (Stella) while 2 years ago, but ended up by selling her as it’s hard to find her accessories etc. And about a year ago I tried FID m’en but cannot bond neither ahhh I wonder why but this time I’m good with Mia, she is just so cute and I’m having a SJ girl in MSD size on the way.
btw, love love your Laëtitia, she is fantastic!

Hi! My raccoondoll has had the status of "queued for shipment" for a week now, does anyone know how long it usually stays that way?

 

That "status" does not actually mean anything - I asked about it when my doll was "queued for shipment" First at a weak mark than at 3 weeks... Turns out she was not even made yet... So don't put much stock in to it.
They will ship the doll withing the 90 days thou... My was shipped on day 90 just when I was going to go ballistic on them

So a while ago Raccoondoll said they were going to release a new Glamour body - anyone have any idea when? I remember it was mentioned, and now I can’t find the information anywhere! Wish I knew when they will release new head sculpts too!

 

good point... I wondered about that too, cause it feels like taking forever. Maybe there will be a summer event and we gonna see it? I hope so.

About the new glamour body and discount event for men...I asked Mr. Choi via QA back in February and he said it will be in March, and we are now in April still no news yet

I did wonder about the new glamour body that it was supposed to come out. Perhaps they will leave it for their anniversary sometime in the summer.

Yes. He is a Lawrence. MY other favorite male sculpt and he's the original FID Lawrence, that at that time they were calling the skin tone, LT brown, but which now they are calling Dark Brown, when they went back to the lighter lt brown.

 

Ah, I knew someone had asked the question and got an answer - thank you!!! Oh well, I suppose they'll get to it eventually. Good point that they might have a summer event - and I suppose if there's new releases it will be likely to be then. I'll just have to be patient I guess!

 

Is anyone interested in Eugene? I'm not sure if it's the faceup or the eyes or what, but the promo of the normal skin Eugene is more appealing to me than the promo milk mocha Eugene. He reminds me of a young man, not as chiseled as some of the other very manly men options. I've been thinking I need a young guy to offset my very manly SartoriaJ Elf Dominic.

Does anyone have a raccoon doll man and a SartoriaJ man? I fight to pose my SartoriaJ man. He has a lot of movement options in his joint design but you've got to really work it to make him hold the pose, he doesn't just easily move about. Maybe Raccoondoll men pose better?

 

Skyealloway, I have 3 Raccoon men and they are all fabulous at holding poses. Eugene is on my wish list, I think he's gorgeous. I agree, in normal skin he does look young and so will go with my RD Momo and other younger sculpts I should think.

 

Meet my new girl Viveca.
I really struggled with this doll, and I painted her three times before I found her character. It was really frustrating and I was so afraid I wouldn't be able to bond with her, but with her third look she just clicked.
I absolutely love her now.

My elf Momo arrived last month but so much has happened recently in my life I didn't post her box opening/arrival. Also she came with default faceup which I don't remember requesting so... I will eventually have to repaint her to look closer to the character I have in mind. She still doesn't have clothes or wig, but I uploaded photos to my flickr if anyone wants to see.

I'm still a little unsure about her, I confess that more realistic faces aren't my favorite type of bjd. But for this character, Momo looked like a good compromise of realistic and stylized. The character is supposed to be paper white but I knew I would have to rely on doing a more cold-colored faceup to get the look, cause it's hard enough finding the right sculpt, and even more the right colors and accessories. The eyes I ordered for her should arrive soon.

Anyone planning on getting Dami? She looks so distinct, I feel like she almost looks like someone I know. I love her unique face. The sculpts for both Vivicea and Dami are so different from most dolls they are very intriguing and feel realistic to me

@Robyn_in_WA Thank you! I made the pattern, and they are lambskin. I never attempted to tame them, I like the volume. But I guess you could comb the curls out.

@skyealloway She does look familiar, doesn't she? I can't put a finger on it, but she "is" somebody I have seen before.

So after lurking in all of the Raccoon Doll threads for weeks I've finally ordered one of my own. Been working on retelling a character and finding the right sculpt and fell in love with the look of "Wild Fantasy" Nana. Looking forward to sharing pictures once she's here! Had to take advantage of that free shipping, lol!

Oh wow, they are so beautiful! And as others have mentioned, Viveca does look very familiar, she kinda reminds me of a combination of Emma Watson and Michelle Fairly.
Definitly need to have a look at their dolls!
