Aaaaaah my lovely girl is here!!! Well, actually, just her head is here, the body is an FID one - I didn't bond with the sculpt at all when she arrived, so I decided to keep the body and get her a Raccoondoll head instead. Naturally, my favorite sculpt - Dreaming Laetitia. I asked Raccoondoll for a custom face-up and they did the most spectacular job!!! I actually asked for deep red lips though, but she looks so amazing I don't even mind that she got dark lips instead - she looks like the most perfect spooky girl, just in time for Halloween!!! (This photo does NOT do her justice, I'll try taking better ones later). Currently borrowing a slimmer Raccoondoll dress that doesn't quite fit, I need to make her a new dress now she's here and I can work out what will suit her.

Her name is Belladonna and she's the, uh, fifth Laetitia I have in my Raccoondoll/hybrid Laetitia army. I regret nothing.

Does anyone have rose mocha skin from Raccoondoll yet? I am wondering how it compares to FID Peach Gold or SJ peach cream. I am ordering a new girl in rose mocha anyway, but am just interested to know...

Edit: I've just skipped back a page and seen a comparison (thanks Patrice S). Iple PG looks surprisingly lighter than I'd thought RD rose mocha might be. Wonder how it compares with SJ peach cream?

Ah thank you!!! I’ll have to take that picture - one of the heads is away getting a face up at the moment though, so I might wait until it’s back so the whole army is together!

 

Hello everyone!
Just wanted to say that there is info from RaccoonDoll's official representative that soon after the current event the old versions of the slim and glamorous bodies will be discontinued. So if anyone wants to purchase a doll with old bodies - now is the last moment.
And later will be released new glamour body.

 

Wow thanks for that news Imateo! I have ordered my new girl with the new slim body, but three of my girls have the original slim body and that is perfect to me. The new glamour body sounds very interesting though, I look forward to seeing that.

Just bought second hand raccoon doll bjd sia. She will need new face up but anyway my first raccoon bjd. She suppose to arrive in two weeks from USA to UK. So hope so I enjoy this club.

The owners face up was not bad but I like when dolls looks realistic that's why I will definitely redo her face up.

btw. I asked Raccoondoll on their Q&A, male dolls event will be releasing as Christmas event in the beginning of December. Similar to this time with female dolls event. Time to save up

 

@Khlovera thank you. As soon as she arrives from USA I will send her for new face up. But even with scrap face up she looks nice.
I will definitely will show both pictures before and after. I like to see how same doll can look totally different

 

@Patrice S thank you. I don't know how long it takes to arrive from USA to UK. But as soon as she arrives head will go to artist for New face up. So that I could enjoy beautiful doll.

 

Well I finally got to taking some pictures of my Lara in her final wig She has been sitting around with wrong hair color for so long I forgot why I painted her eyebrows red But now she is finally all color matched!

I got my Isis second hand and I'm surprised how good the body for posing is.
She came with horrible dace up all dirty and were bad made. So isend her head straight to the artist to make her nice professional face up.
I really happy with my first raccoon doll and quality is very good.
Will show her as soon as she comes back from beauty therapy course

 

Holiday pic time! And I have to say - after handling both Raccoon and Iplehouse girls I prefer Raccoon bodies hands down. Lara is rock steady even in half kneeling pose (which she is in in this pic), my FID Doria on the other hand was wobbling like a whet noodle... Even Claude that was free standing in the back was steadier than her... And Raccon girls have killer legs in comparison - no stupidly overextended knee like Iplehouse.
I'm waiting for an elf Rosie on a new body atm, can't wait to see the improvements!

P.S. - Sweater decorations and holiday earrings make for some cool doll ornaments

I really like to pose the RD girls too. The only thing I really prefer about the Iple bodies are their hands. The Iple hands are prettier IMHO (although the hands on the newer RD bodies have improved). I wish RD would offer hand blushing services. I think that would make the hands more realistic. Your Lara is beautiful @Sshodan !

 

Yes, I agree - Iplehouse hands are very beautiful (I'm using fantasy long nailed ones on Doria and I can't get enough of them).
I'd say Iplehouse wins on hands, ankle joints and resin for me. But overall shape and design I'd give to Raccoon any day at least for the ladies - don't have any Raccoon guys yet... One day...

 

I like the aesthetic of the Iple male bodies, but the RD men are lovely too. Iple bodies are just more detailed in the sculpting I think. The RD men stand like rocks though, and are very easy to pose, much like their female counterparts. I read earlier this year that there is supposed to be a new RD male body in the works. I'm very anxious to see it! I like the variety in my collection.

 

Ohhhh! New male body would be fantastic! I do love Iplehouse one - literary blushed every vein on my vampy Claude and do not regret a moment I spend on it - looks absolutely awesome. From pictures Raccoon guys seamed a bit less detailed, I was ready to settle for that... But if there is a chance for new bodies on guys? I'd be ecstatic!

Happy new year guys!

New year old question. What other brands produce wigs that fit onto our doll? Used to buy from Monique but they're closed for good. I tried several brands like SartoriaJ though the measurement was 5-6 inch but it didn't fit on my doll.

 

Are you after wigs for the guys or the girls? For the girls - iplehouse 5-6 wigs are good, and I’ve liked the Hannasu wigs - both the synthetic mohair and the fibre!

They are not as soft to touch but do keep the style well and fit like a glove on girls. Don't have any guys myself but did see one being used on them... With difficulty.
I do end up ordering custom for my doll in the end usually... Time to learn how to make my own I guess

 

I'm after girls wigs. Actually I bought their 5-6 wig together with their FID but it didn't fit very well on their own doll. Not sure how well they fit onto Raccoon dolls head but will try it someday when they offer wider selection of style.

For hannasu are they using Yo-SD as their model?

Also with wigs for the girls I've occasionally been able to buy a size 6-7 instead and put it on them with a wig cap - but mostly they end up being too big!

I'm not sure I shared my Laetitia on this thread, so here I go. She's one of my favourite dolls to handle these days, and that's why I have decided I'll get or either a Monica or a Lara soon~ If someone could post photos of either of them so I can make up my mind, I would really appreciate it

 

@Seed-Singer nice to see your Laeticia! I just got a sleepy head Laeticia last year and am really enjoying her. I also have both Monica ( in dark Mocha) and Lara ( in sweet mocha). Since we are only allowed to post one picture at a time in this thread here is Lara, she was painted by Jay Searle, with Damien.
