@Seed-Singer - Raccoon ladies and FIDs are similar, although not exactly the same. Raccoon ladies are a bit slimmer in their torsos, and waist. So when I make costumes I make them to fit my FIDs, with lacing in the back so it can be laced tighter for Monica. That way any of my Fashion sized dolls can wear the clothes. Standard contemporary clothes would not be a problem, but my dolls rarely ever wear that.
Good to know, thank you! That's actually such a good idea, I wish this would be considered more often on doll clothing making. I believe I've only seen this sort of adjustable clothing on skirts so far. I ordered a slim ver.2 body, I know it will be slimmer and taller, so I'm really hoping this dress fits!
Could anyone help me with this? I ordered a milk mocha Sia, but now I'm worried that it will be too light, and that maybe I should have done sweet mocha. Does anyone have pictures of milk mocha? Thanks! Also, I'm really loving all these pictures in this thread. Does anyone also use Instagram? I would love to follow some Raccoon doll photos, but when I put a raccoon doll tag, I get raccoon stuffed animals! Is there a better hashtag for insta?
@SophiePuffs - Here's a photo but it is taken under indoor lighting and not the best for seeing the nuances of the differences of the Normal resin that my Elf Nina has (which is whiter and pinker) and the Milk Mocha that my Elf Kai has...however, the Milk Mocha is light...I was a little surprised myself...but it still is a nice resin color. Tyne and Gaeyl by luluna33, on Flickr
@luluna Thank you so much for the pic! They're both beautiful. The milk mocha definitely looks lighter than I expected, too. It's so hard to shop resin colors online if you haven't seen them in person. I might contact Raccoondoll and ask if they can switch my order to sweet mocha instead. She's going to be paired with my Dollshe Khan who has copper oriental skin so I'm wondering how they'll photograph together.
@SophiePuffs - I could take a photo of my sweet mocha guy with my copper oriental guy (from before dollshe made the colours more pink) if you would like to see?
Hello everybody! Long time no see Just wanted to show my lovely Diana Raccoon Doll Rosie (sweet mocha) by Fantazmika, on Flickr
Omg yes that would be amazing, thank you! I'm so excited to see Raccoon Doll and Dollshe together in a pic. I was told they would be a good match as far as realism and head size.
I just finished my New Slim body review and comparison. I hope you find this helpful. Raccoon 2021 New slim body
Thanks so much for taking the time to review the new body! That was super useful to find out more about it!!!
@morganatron I am glad you found it helpful. I hope he will consider selling that body separately (I just asked on the Q&A). As for your shoe-question: Did you mean Minifee A? Regular Minifee shoes should fit, the new flat feet are 5 x 2 cm and Minifee feet are 5,5 x 2. Minifee Moe will probably not fit, the Moe feet are 4,5 x 2. I don't have Minifee heel shoes, so I can't help you there.
Ah, thanks @ResinRapture! Good to know the Minifee shoes should fit. Of course, Minifee shoes are also hard to find, but at least it's better than the original feet, and I know there's threads here devoted to what shoes fit Minifee. And it looks like Raccoondoll are selling the new feet seperately, so maybe I'll get everyone new feet at some point when I have money again!
@morganatron I don't know if you've seen this: TrickyBJDFeet: Mini Girls Minifee has the same foot size as a couple of other dolls. Flat feet shoes and boots are not really that rare, I don't know any nice high heel options except he-meife though. Slim mini heels do fit, but they might look a bit bulky, like Iple heel shoes on Raccoon.
The Minifee active line flat feet are really close to the IPle FID ladies. My girls all share the flat shoes I have. I found He-Meife has some flats sized for Tonner Matt that fit the FID and MNF girls well. Or at least they did last year as I got several pairs.
How long are the waiting times for raccoon doll for the United States? Thank you so much in advance for the help
Playing a bit today with Daisha, my mint green Daisy, and the new guy, Varu, an Iple FID Vincent. In and Around the Glade- A Fantasy Doll World (inthegladefantasydolls.blogspot.com) Some of their back story on my blog above A Stubborn Countenance LR by wizgerg3, on Flickr
Ah yes, I need to look at that again! And I generally go for the flat feet as they're more stable standing with a doll stand, and also I can't be bothered changing the feet back and forth. Ah, that's good to know, I only just got an FID lady, if they all could share shoes (and with my Minifee) it would be amazing!!! And I forgot about He-Meife, I need to look again!
@JinCIncy They look great! Did you change Vincent's wig? I think I remember seeing him with white hair? @morganatron There are quite a few options for shoe-sharing if you are looking for flats. FID, Minifee and Raccoon can wear these, some of them available in almost every doll store. They can also wear Helen Kish shoes and Boneka. Those usually look a bit more like classic playdoll shoes, but the Mary Janes are nice.
@JinCIncy the mint is absolutely glowing ! That is very cool. I wiped Iris's faceup. With so many grey dolls with amazing faceups coming from Sartoriaj, I feel inspired to give my grey Elf Iris something different.
I think his previous owners used a white wig on him some, but I prefer this long multi blonde one. Thanks!
@JinCIncy Ahh. I didn't know he changed owners. I am sure he loves his new company :-) @skyealloway @morganatron AND YES!!! The new slim body will be available separately. I asked , and this is the answer It will be possible to purchase New Body at our company's 7th anniversary celebration. We are going to start the event in September. Thank you~ So, time to save up
@SophiePuffs - Here is the photo, raccoon doll sweet mocha vs dollshe copper oriental. 20210809_195531.jpg The copper oriental is from before they pinkified some of their resin colours.
That's great news about the New Slim body being available separately! One of my girls is in desperate need of an upgrade! ... and I can vouch that the new body is beautiful... My Laetitia sweet mocha, large bust, has arrived with it! Yayy.
She's gorgeous! The more pictures I see of Laetitia, the more I want her in my family. I'd really appreciate if you guys could share more of your Laetitias' ~~
My lovely Rowena (Emma) just because I updated her story on my blog today In and Around the Glade- A Fantasy Doll World (inthegladefantasydolls.blogspot.com) A Nervous Tell by wizgerg3, on Flickr
Thank you so much for the comparison! My dollshe Khan was made in 2019 so I'm assuming he's one of the new pinker versions. I don't have other Dollshe dolls to compare him. I just got a 'shipment in queue" email from Raccoon Doll so I'm not able to change the skin to sweet mocha. She's gonna be milk mocha but I think the contrast will look nice with the two of them.

Hello everyone! I'm curious about the Rose mocha skin colour - does anyone of you have the chance of comparing it to Iplehouse Peach gold? It seems to me a bit richer in tone but I really would love to know how is it :-)
@JinCIncy Thanks for the picture, the clothing from SartoriaJ really fits well. Your boy looks good! Very majestic.
Here's the comparison -- left to right: RD Sweet Mocha, RD Rose Mocha and Iple Peach. The Rose Mocha definitely has a red tone to it and is considerably different. @JinCIncy That SJ set is gorgeous!
Just made few photos for comparison of the old and new slim bodies. Here is the album on Flickr if someone is curious to see I am personally just in love with the new slim body! It is so easy to play with, it has a nice texture, much more flexible joints. Just WOW! RacconDoll did a great job. It is worth every cent and also they are SO gentle with their customers P.S. My Rosie was made in 2017, Gene just now and the skin color is the same! It Means RD using a really good materials. Raccoon Doll Old Slim and New Slim bodies comparison by Fantazmika, on Flickr
The newest slim body is very nice and I’ve always been impressed with the consistency of their resin color. That alone makes buying a body in their September sale a temptation.
I just got my first Raccoon Doll! I'm so impressed by her...like she is made so well! The milk mocha skin is beautiful, too. I need to take some pics and make her some clothes. Does anyone know pattern sellers on Etsy or elsewhere who make patterns specifically for Raccoon Doll girls? My MiniFee patterns don't fit properly and that's all I got. I guess I could modify them, but it would be nice to have a basic set that's already made since pattern drafting isn't my forte.
Antique Lilac has some amazing free patterns that fit slim FID or slim Raccoondoll (and could be altered to fit the glamour body): Tutorials Other than that, you're probably better off buying Iplehouse FID patterns and altering them, they're a lot closer to Raccoondoll than Minifee is! There's a few on Etsy if you search for FID, and also these: Designs by Jude featuring Fletcher Pattern Company and FID Doll Clothes Patterns Hope that helps!
Yes it helps so much! I have the new slim body with a small bust, and I didn't realize how different the body shape is from my other MSD dolls. I really love it! Thank you so much for the links

does anyone have photo comparison of their white skin? it doesn't seem like a popular option for this brand.
I'm silent much, but this summer seeing so many lovely grey dolls from SartoriaJ inspired me to dig out Soomin (elf iris) and give her a new faceup. At the same time I follow a few makeup artist sort of folks on instagram and I saw a grey faced look by livkae and decided I would try to recreate it in bjd. I tried using my airbrush...which was terribly clogged and splattered...but the look gave a very nice texture. This may be the best faceup I've ever done. Soomin by Skyealloway, on Flickr She certainly deserves a nice outfit now.
I love every detail on that faceup, it goes really nicely with the grey skin! Also, I got my first RacoonDoll today, Laetitia in Dark Mocha looks so sassy! Just a phone photo, so the quality isn't great, but the default faceup is beautiful (she's wearing an Iplehouse FID outfit!)
