Raccoon 33cm kid dolls in scale with Raccoon women

I wonder if the Raccoondoll Bebe Elf ears would fit the GIRL heads? They have two types that you just put on their ears...worth taking a look and maybe Asking in Q&A if they would work for the GIRLS.

@morganatron A lot of little girls I know resemble their father in some way, and little boys resemble their mother. It's kind of strange! But I think if you just pick one feature, like eye shape or jaw or nose bridge and match to a parent then that would be believable. When my son smiles, he's looks exactly like me

I was watching Younan's video on YouTube and I think Jenny could work as a little boy with the right styling.

EDIT TO ADD: Wait a minute, is there not a discussion thread for Raccoondoll Bebe here on DOA? Shoot. Does anyone that's received the new girls have a BeBe to compare too?

 

I don't think there is a discussion for the BEBE line on here? At least, I couldn't find one when searching to see if I should start a new thread! Presumably people must be buying them since there's so many sculpts, but just not discussing on DOA I guess?!

Ooh Jenny as a boy would be so cute!!! I was just thinking any of them could really work as boys if you styled them that way, it's a fairly neutral body - a tempting thought! I'll add that to the never ending "maybe one day" list of doll wants, lol!!!

That's a great comparison shot! And it's really great to see one of the Raccoondoll kids without the default face-up, as that's all I've seen so far - I love the way you've painted and styled her!!! Well, I went ahead and ordered the smaller feet for my girl (as well as some wigs for other dolls - bit of a false economy there, I didn't want to pay all that shipping just for feet!). I've also sent her head off for a new face-up, so it will be months until I get her back, sadly. At least I've still got the body here if I want to work on her wardrobe in the meantime!

My Jenny turned up a few days ago. She has the new smaller feet so is currently in a pair of bog-standard 1/6 shoes. I can’t get her to keep her wig on so she obviously needs a silicon cap. I got her with the company face-up and really like it but she has brown eyes not blue ones. I’m finding that some GlitterGirls clothes fit altho the trousers are a tiny bit short but don’t look too bad. I am having trouble with her hips, her legs keep turning to the side. I see someone else has had the same problem. None of my other dolls do this. Strange!
One thing I have found is that she does not fit in with my IH KID’s & BID’s and neither with Raccoon’s own BeBe (who is more like a BID). She obviously needs a sister.

 

Ooh congratulations!!! I would also love to see pics!!! And that's so good to hear that the new feet fit the standard YoSD shoes, that's a relief - I've ordered the smaller feet for my girl but they aren't here yet, but good to know I should have plenty of shoes to fit! Ha, and yes, maybe she does need a sister!!! I'm so tempted to get another one already too, so she has a friend.

On another note - has anyone found a doll saddle stand that fits these girls? From looking at measurements, it looks like the MSD ones will be too big and the YoSD too small - but maybe I'm just looking in the wrong spots. Anyone else had any luck?

 

The shoes are a tight fit length-wise. I think you can only use 4cm shoes with “give” in them. I’ve managed to get a set of photos onto Flickr see them at My Girl Jenny

 

I hope he does it before I order Ada!

Hooray, the small feet arrived for my Ada!!! (I was among the early orders that got the large feet). And my gamble paid off - the Luts Honey Delf (HDS) shoes I ordered in the meantime fit perfectly!!! I got three pairs - here's a picture to show one on each foot, and I also got the rose one in the black and ivory colour:

I got them while they were on sale, now I wish I'd got more, except I wasn't sure they were going to fit! The sale is over now, but I think next time they have some I might order more...

Now I just need my girl's head to come back from getting a face-up and she'll hopefully be complete!

Oooh exciting!!! Which one of them do you like the look of? I think they're both super cute, but I'm leaning more towards the girl with blonde curls... but I won't be sure until we see more pictures of both!

She looks so cute!!! I love the PJs and her curly hair - and her lovely eye colour too!

On another note - I'm really pleased Raccoondoll is releasing more sculpts in the GIRL range, I guess they've been popular enough to warrant it, which is awesome news, as it's so wonderful to have many sculpts to choose from! Now, if only I had the money to buy one of every type! I'm going to get at least one more girl, and I keep thinking about how much I'd like to try styling one as a boy - I mean, they're pretty gender neutral in the body design, so I think it would work! Adding that to my wishlist, lol!

And in other news - my Ada head finally has her face-up finished, and is on it's way back to me, yay!!!! Looking forwards to taking proper photos once she's back!!!

Oh I like the new girls quite a lot! The one with really big eyes reminds me of my Blue Fairy Jasmine. It would be awesome to revive her in a scale I play with more.

 

Ooh you're right, she does look like a Blue Fairy! She's very cute, and so is her little smile. I'm trying to work out if the blonde one will look too mature or not, I really like the look of her, it's so hard to say! I was planning to get a Jenny, but now I don't know at all - waiting for more pictures for now. Also I just spent all my doll money on a new SartoriaJ girl, so in theory I shouldn't be buying new dolls... but I might be convinced, especially if there's any exciting specials like free shipping or something.

I wonder also if the outfit she's wearing will be available, it's very cute! If that ends up being a freebie if you buy a doll, I'll be even more convinced to get a new girl!

Ooh, that's an exciting plan!!! Hmm, I don't know much about Sailor Moon, but I love Harley Quinn!!! I feel like Lian would be pretty cute, something about the big eyes seems like it would suit her, or one that looks like she's smiling - perhaps May or Jenny?

Oh by the way, I requested blank head photos for the two new girls, and Raccoondoll very kindly did so - there's photos of Lian and Maya blank up now in the gallery section, so you can see how all the girls look blank! I always find that helpful to compare them without a face-up.

Update on my doll dramas: my Ada head has her beautiful face up my Angeltoast finished and is on her way back to me, but according to the tracking it left Miami, arrived in Australia, then went back to Miami again?! I'm really hoping that tracking update is wrong, I don't want her to go all the way back to the USA again!!!

Also, I've decided I definitely want to get Maya, but am agonising over whether to get two dolls (maybe two Mayas?!) or just one, and also what skin tone to get - if I get NS she would match with a few of my dolls as I can't quite decide who should be her mother, but she'd also look really nice next to my Mocha Laetitia if I got her in darker skin - and she does look very nice in the pictures with Sweet Mocha skin and dark hair! So I'm no closer to deciding!!!

UPDATE: no, I've decided - I got just Maya (and a smiling Gene head who will belong to my Ada's mother) in NS - I've spent too much on dolls lately, and besides, I'm sure there will be future Girl releases I like, I could consider a third girl then! But yayyyyy!!!! I've decided!!! I'm so happy to get Maya, I can't wait until she's home!!!!

 

morganatron l agree. I will order Lian in NS on Tuesday. I wish that they had made high heel feet. Now to figure out what size of wig to get.
