Rabiruna~Long Wait Times For Face-ups

I commissioned Runa to do a face-up for my Kirsten Dunst minimee head in August. She told me that there were many orders at that time and asked me to wait a month. On 20th September I’ve sent the head to her (and full payment at the same time), and she got it at the beginning of October. She quotes a delivery of a max of 4 weeks after receiving the head, and it's going on 20 weeks now with no updates.

I emailed her on 24th October, and she told my doll was still in line. That sounded okay with me and I continue waiting. The next time I emailed her was on 8th January 2010. Runa answered me on 20th January and said she was working at my girl’s face up and she will send me pictures in a week. Since that time I had no replies from Runa. I posted several times on her website forum asking for an update on my order, and I just tried to email her but I didn't get her answer.



On 1st March Runa put a notice on her website saying she was overloaded with personal business and company face ups, so she was preparing answers for all who commissioned her. Almost a week and a half passed but I have no answer. This worries me.

I admire Rabiruna works, she transforms each doll's face up into a piece of art and I know very often face-ups can take longer than quoted. I do understand it. But I wait for 5 months and I have no idea of how much I should wait.



So I agree with Mello, we just need a bit more communication. I just worry about my doll and want to see her.

Actually, I've sent my dolls --- Volks SD Tae and SDGr Ryoya Konoe to Rabiruna ( Korean Artist ) for face-up commission on
30, November 2009. Before I sent my dolls to her, I've asked when will she able to complete my orders, she said that she can finish and return to me on January, 2010.

On 4,December,2009, she has informed my parcel arrived to her safety.
Unfortunately, it was our last conversation. That's it!
After that, I've contacted her about my orders status many times by mail or message board either, but there is no reply at all. Our last conversation was about 3 MONTHS ago, I do understand she may takes time to finish the works but I have no idea why she keeps ignored my message, I was confused and disappointed.

Until 28,February, 2010, she wrote a open notice according to her make-up work on her homepage. She said she will reply the customers who sent the mail to her individually. Almost 2 weeks has past, unfortunately I've no reply from her still.

What I need to know is when will she able to finish and return my dolls? It was just a simple question.
I want to post the message here if anyone have heard about Rabiruna recently and hope to update the news from the others. As I know, many peoples ( at least 4 peoples included me ) are waiting their dolls face-up complete from Rabiruna too. In fact we do open a thread on Flickr discussion on this matter already.

I hope I can get the answer from Rabiruna and resolve the problem soon.

 

Rabiruna was last on the forum 3JAN. She is now Being Paged. Please keep this thread updated with resolution.

 

I've got a letter from Runa today. She promised to send me pictures of my doll next Wednesday. So, I hope everything will be alright.

 

So it is Wednesday, but there is still no pictures from Rabiruna

 

Gamayun, Runa promised to send you the pics, perhaps it may delay 1-2 days. I hope you will receive the pics very soon.
Mello, I haven't sent the payment to Runa yet, she said she will open new homepage on 1, May after finish all of the works, I still hope to get the answer once she complete my orders.

thank you for your support, dear ones! I hope it will be soon too. Though Runa already promised me to send pics in January and I'm still waiting. I hope this time it will be sooner. Anyway I've sent her email.

Mello, unfortunately no. I'm going to email Rabiruna again on the next Wednesday, but I'm not sure it'll help me a lot.
Your desicion to open a dispute is absolutely right, and I hope you'll get her responce soon!

have you gotten any responce from Runa? So, almost a month has passed since the moment she put notice about writing to each of us, but we still didn't hear from her. ( I emailed her again today. Let's see if she answers me.

I've received reply from Runa. She said will be complete my orders soon.
But she hasn't told me the exact date to complete.
Seems she is working hard to progress our dolls now.

Has anyone heard anything from Runa yet? I sent her two heads back in November and she promised to get them done this month. It doesn't look like that's going to happen, though. I emailed her a week ago and she never replied. I'm starting to grow impatient

I hope she finishes everyone's dolls soon.

I emailed Runa again a couple days ago but still haven't received a reply. Quite frankly, at this point, I'm wondering if I'll ever get a reply. I don't doubt that Runa will return my dolls, but the waiting time keeps lengthening and she doesn't respond to my messages. Has she emailed anyone else recently?

I've got Runa latest reply on 19, March, she said my orders will be complete soon.
I'm still awaiting. I hope she can provide the complete pics no later than April.
Did Runa tell you about complete date of your order?

 

Runa emailed me today to say that one of my dolls will be completed this week and my other doll will be done next week.

I'm just glad I finally have dates.

tptbc, yes, I asked her for tracking number and fact of shipping several times. As I got no answer, I don't even know if Claudia's head is on her way to my place or if it is still at Runa's place. Almost three weeks passed since I got the pics and there was silence since that time.

 

That's too bad, Gamayun. I hope you get Claudia's head back soon.

I've also emailed her a few times recently, but never received a response. The last email I got from her was four weeks ago.

I've got Claudia today! Runa sent her to me on 04/07 by EMS and it took the package almost a month to come to my place. I'm very happy Claudia is at home finally, she looks gorgeous. Though I didn't get emails from Runa since her last letter with make up pics.

Runa just emailed me and said that my dolls have been finished but she was having problems with her camera so she couldn't take pictures of them. She said she'll have pictures for me on Monday or Tuesday.

Runa just emailed me today with completed pictures of my dolls and I couldn't be happier. She did an amazing job, like always! I'll update this thread when I receive them.

I am very surprised to see there are posts about the delay of face up.

Fortunately, I am not the only person worried about this.
I mailed two Madokas to Runa by using an ID named Linyuan in December last year. Then, I received runa’s message on 9th December, last year and she told me she has received two heads of Madoka.
But, after that I have never received any message from her till now.
I felt very anxious about whether Runa has started to face up my Madokas and why she do not reply any message to me.

 

The moderators of DoA would like to learn how each of you "found" rabiruna in order to commission her. She does not have a Commission thread on this forum, but she does have a link in her signature. Were commissions conducted through her site, through pm on DoA, or email via her site? Thank you for responding.

 

I tried several times to connect with her by e-mail and leave massages on her site. but no replys even a word.
I will PM she directly on DoA but I am no sure if it does work or not.
