Supplies Question about sealant smell

Are you sure it’s not resin you’re smelling? Sealant doesn’t usually retain a scent past the first maybe ten minutes out of the can, but resin itself can outgas pretty significantly for years.

 

I also agree with the commenter above. It's probably the resin itself that you're smelling. I've only come across one type of fixative meant for atr work, that stank to high h3ll even after months of having it air out. I've only worked with MSC, for sealing repaints, but the smell goes away after some short period of time. Resin on the other hand, it pretty much depends on the resin and how long you leave it exposed to the air. Some always have a faint scent, some are pungent at first, others are all over the place.
